Do not move here. Im warning everyone who is attempting to move here. First they treat you so nice, specially the manager Felicia. Well I ended up coming here my lease was about to expire and pretty much really didn't have many options. First thing I come in and get a deal in a 3 bedroom apartment, I asked the manager if i could see it before I signed anything. She said its getting new carpet and new appliances. She told me come back next week monday. I came back tuesday still not ready at this point i need to move in, because my lease had expired already. well I end up paying my recent apts for staying 3 more days. in the end after i had already signed the lease because i pretty much had to. not too many choices. I understand in part is my fault to. i should have checked, when i see the apartment. What she claimed to be a 3 bed apt was a 2 bed and a studio, because couldn't even fit a bed in there. To top it off, the carpet was just cleaned not replaced although the microwave was the only new appliance. then 2 weeks later i get a letter after i move in. that says i have to go pay deposit again. This people are idiots they don't even know how to manage an office. Then 2 weeks later in the am i hear my neighbors outside trying to move their cars because half the apartment complex is flooded. this whole living here situation has been a NIGHTMARE . one day my sister comes to my place and brings her small dog. someone from the office sees her and goes tells the office manager . next day i get a letter asking me to come and pay a $300 deposit for having a dog. I don't even own a dog .idiots! then later they get this new gate and want $50 for a gate card.really? So in the end i paid them $1200 rent 300$ deposit 75$application fee $50 for a gate card. This people will try to sponge the money out of you I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. FLOODING ISSUE> MANAGER IS Mediocre, ignorant person. The Staff some of them are nice. rest are rude.

Probably the worst apartment ever! Staff is completely rude, and dumb. Summer started and they decided it would be best if they "re-modeled" the pool which meant keeping it closed. They never sent out anything stating why or how long it would be. It was the last straw, can't wait until my lease is up!

manager is the rudest employee there . i don't even know how she was hired. the place is small and they rent 2 bed 1 study 2 baths as 3 bed 2 baths . the property looks old and needs a lot of fixes . half the apt complex gets flooded on rainy days. manangent is not very well trained as they keep calling you to pay things you already paid . do not move here.

Two years ago, when I first moved in it used to be alright. It was a "nice" community and the 1 bed apt was huge, just what I needed. BUT, as time when by I started having trouble with several things in the apt. Problems from: Kitchen- water started coming out of the walls, maintenance said that the kitchen pipes from up-stair sometimes could get block with grease and that's why water was coming out of the pipes. My carpet got wet and the only thing they did was to cut it and dry it (but still smell wet); they end up coming 2-3 times for the same thing. The floor from the bathroom and entrance started having a weird color like mold, I tried to clean it many times with bleach; but nothing came out- it was from the inside. 3rd of all parking became a nightmare- some neighbors were horrible and used to scratch other peoples car when they opened their car door, nobody parked next to them. Many of us told main office, but didn't do anything,ETC (I can keep going)..... Finally when I moved;I gave them my contact info and return keys and everything- they were suppose to contact me if I had to pay for something and never did, until I got a letter from the collectors agency saying that I owned about $500. I DO NOT recommend these apts.

Do not ever stay here. It is the worst apartment to stay at ever.. I have been getting harass by the police officer that be on site during the day. He is the old Mexican guy with wrinkles all through his face. He will find anything and everything to get you evicted. He will go as far to staking out side of your house waiting to see what you going to do that is wrong in his eyes. Now the apartments themselves looks nice until you been living in there for a while that's when you start to notice that the roaches do come out and your refrigerator handle was infect glued on and not stable then you will notice that your cabinets was not properly nailed in. I have been here for 2 years and have been through office staff every month and some of them are nice but others can be rude don't give to ---- about you. Now I'm trying to move away as soon as possible. My lease is up and I refuse to renew at this apartments again. Please for those who are looking for apartments do not come to this place....

I have been living here for almost 5 years. This is my 2nd apartment. The office staff has always been very helpful. On November 16, 2012 I went to Walmart in Katy and when I was getting ready to leave. I couldn't find my car keys. I called and talked to ------. She went into my apartment and got my 2nd set of keys for me and ------- who lived in Katy brought them to me. I moved to my 2nd apartment and ------ was very helpful. The 2 people who were helping me to move needed some help. ------ called someone for me and that young man was amazing. He even put my bed together for me. ------- has always answered any questions for me that I've needed answers to. ------- sent someone to grease my lock on my apartment one day when I couldn't open my door. This has just been a really great time for me.

I've been living for 2 years in #4310 paying my rent on time, didn't make any problem or any complain despite all the bad and poor maintenance. At the end of my lease term they never give me a better offer, so I decided to leave. I left leaving my contact info. With them gave them all my keys. Then I received a letter after 2 months stating that I owe them $450 for damage to the unit !! (They nev even bother to call me to walk the unit with them)I tried to contact the manager or meet her, left her a message but she never replied. Basically I was dealing with thieves. My advice, do not live in that apartment where you can't trust the management, security is bad, maintenance is poor, I lived for 2 years and they never change the blinds for me ( costs $20 only). The only nice thing about that place is the landscaping ( at the leasing office only). Good luck for anyone who wants move there

I lived here for over two years and would have stayed longer if it had not been for a horrible new neighbor. I really liked my apartment and maintenance was responsive to my requests, I probably only called 2-3 times over the 2 years. I felt pretty safe there although they would post notices of incidences along with suggestions of ways to protect yourself. As stated in one of the notices "you're responsible for your own safety". Whatever!! Anyway, back to my stupid neighbor who smoked everything (legal and illegal), I reported to management who said they would talk to them but I don't know what happened on that b/c they never stopped smoking. I called the after hours number to get the onsite police officer to walk the area while it was happening and like the other review was told they were too busy and to call HPD. What are you there for??? Officers were visible during the day, but I never saw one at night, so go figure. Anyway, overall the place is nice and quiet, well kept, the office staff was pretty nice to me, a good gym, beautiful pool (that's open maybe 3 months out of the year) and the price was reasonable.

Horrible Customer Service
I have lived here for 2 years and should have moved after year one. I thought that the problems I had begun to experience were tolerable. Over the course of year two, the lack of respect and customer service went from bad to dispicable. I would call the office to put in work orders and noone would come to do the work. When I would follow up, I would find out that the work order had never been submitted. The water has been turned off several times (each time it was a Friday or Saturday night) with no notice to residents and it would be off for the whole day. One time we were without water for 24 hours. I kept contacting them they lied and said the city did it and the city was working on it and that they were in contact with the city. When I called the city, they had NO KNOWLEDGE of the work, the city had not been out there and that I was the only report (at the time I called) of an outage. They make mistakes and never acknowledge their error but they find a way to blame the resident. Most recently, I went in to give my intent to vacate. The lady in the office said I could not because it HAD TO BE within the 30days. I asked her to show me in my lease where it said that I could not submit my notice greater than 30 days before the lease end date. She showed me two sections that made NO MENTION of my inability to submit my notice according to the lease. That was their office practice to keep them for being responsible if they lost someone's notice! I am tired of the constant rude attitude from the assistant manager and the disregard and unresponsiveness to concerns by the manager that I'm looking for a nice spot under a bridge. Can anyone recommend a good spot under 610 or I-10?

Very Pleasant
I've been living here since Nov 2011 and I must say that I have no complaints what so ever. Before I decided to move here I rode through the apartments on a Saturday night, and one night during the week just to get a feel as to what I was getting myself into. There was no one hanging out, no loud music, and the property was extremely clean. My neighbors are pretty friendly, and we dont hear a peep out of each other. Im surprised to read all of the nasty reviews, because I have not had any problems living here, and I have even recommended this complex to several people.

Worst Apartments in Houston
Whatever you do DO NOT MOVE INTO MORGAN WEST OAKS APARTMENTS at 2300 Briarwest Blvd in Houston....They have to be the WORST APARTMENTS IN THE ENTIRE CITY OF HOUSTON. The office staff is horrible, the complex is not kept clean, there are pot holes the size of Texas all over the complex, the pool was closed almost the entire summer last summer. My family and I were luck enough to finally get out of that hell hole and they are now charging us for damages that they did themselves!!!! It will be better to live under a freeway than to pay these people any rent money.

Racist manager!! STAY AWAY!!!!!
I moved into these apartments bc my sister lived there and said it was clean, quiet, and inexpensive. I had just moved to the state and began teaching at a nearby elementary school. I had problems beginning the first three months of staying here I was accused of having unauthorized occupants bc my parents stayed the weekend for newyears. I was told that I had a complaint from someone that I used illegal substances and the courtesy officer saw it also...I am a kindergarten teacher!! I was 8 months pregnant at the time of this incident I dont have so much as a parking ticket on my record. When I went to speak with the manager about it her response was "yea right". I have never felt so humiliated in my life. I contacted the TAA and I am currently awaiting a response. I will never forget how I felt after living here. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT stay here!!! You will get treated horrible if your neighbors complain and their skin shade is more acceptable than yours!

This apartments look nice on paper. If you are looking for a place to live that is up skill from the "------"......then you have found the right place. HPD is on property because residents are always calling them. I see more on duty cops on property then off-duty ones. There is nothing from keeping you attacked by strangers. There are always new faces. DRUGS!!!! Yes they sale them here!!! The Ice Cream truck comes everyday at 8pm. All the children are inside. He is not saling goodies for the kids. He has a special on "green". ;) The pool is amazing and very nice.It is not year round. Due to the down grade of requirements to live in the apartments now, the pool remains close. Due to parents failing to watch their kids.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
The workers are horrible! Everytime i go up there to resolve a problem they get a attitude with me, always cut you off, and blow their breaths and rolls eyes! Is that necessary??? Isn't this your job to help people out? Once they get you to sign that lease their true colors show after that! They are very unprofessional! They make up new rules and fail to aware you of them. They charged me late fees and when i asked for a break down they gave me a paper that you cant even understand and when you ask them to explain to you what everything on the paper means....they get a attitude and cant even help me with that! DO NOT MOVE INTO MORGAN WEST OAKS! It will be hell for you!

You don't even get what you pay for!
This place is horrible. Lived here for a year, i was lied to on move in as to the exact amenaties in my place, i was also told i could see the actual apartment i'd be moving into when it was ready, then when i try to follow up and go look at it before move in i was told that i couldn't look at it first and whoever told me that was wrong (this place should really train their leasing agents better). so, basically when i leased with them based on their extremely updated model i was sorely dissappointed to find that my place was nothing like the model in any way except for the counter tops. the washer and dryer they offered me as a condition of signing a lease before a certain date is old, outdated and the dryer has to go through 2 cycles to dry one load. as soon as i moved in the water heater support plank (an old piece of wood they have it sitting on) started to mildew and become rotted, their solution to this was a fresh coat of paint. there is a leak in the ceiling of my bedroom where a big brown water spot is accumulating and again, their solution was to paint over it. the lock on my door has needed to be fixed twice, the disposal in my kitchen sink has broken 3 times and i barely dispose of anything. the staff is anything but helpful, the property manager won't speak to you about anything unless you annoyingly call back again and again asking to speak with her, i had to threaten legal action just to get her to agree to lower a bill that was ilegally applied in the first place (long story but once i threatened legal action she seemed very willing to work with me, then of course when that was settled nada, no apology, no follow up, when i went to give them the payment i shouldn't have had to give them in the first place she did not even come out to greet me since we spent an entire day on the phone together trying to get this worked out). the maintenance people do not seem to know how to fix anything and the pool their so proud of (resort style) has been closed for the entire time i've lived here. it looks beautiful and prestine but no one can swim in it cause it has remained closed all year, for what purpose i do not know. their is one gate in or out and it breaks constantly with no notice from the office as to the fact or maintenance time frame. and finally, for the coup de gras, my heater just died. the air conditioner and fan work but the heat will not turn on, and just in time for the coldest winter storm on record too! bottom line is don't waste your money! you can find many better options in this area for the same price. word of advice don't rent from places more than 15 years old. you will not even get what you pay for.

Awful.Awful.Awful
Had such high hopes for the complex. Came back to Houston for ACP program at HISD. Initially approved for Mirabella Galleria, but received call from Morgan West Oaks as well that was a bit less expensive with a discount for HISD. deteriorated after week one. Pool was closed all summer. Apartment was way too small for one let alone two people... The maintenance staff did not complete work order requests; and generally began to dislike the complex altogether. My first thought was to sign a 3 month lease; boy was that the right idea. Stay away from this one, view numbers 1-5 on your list at rent.com. Not number 32.

Has gone downhill
Before Morgan took over this apartment complex it was Camden West Oaks. Morgan can not keep any staff in the office and most of them are not helpful at all. You go in to discuss an issue and they want to talk over you and get an attitude. Morgan is leasing to some very questionable people. I didn't know four grown people could live in a one bedroom apartment? Didn't think this was allowed! Camden kept the property nice and clean and fixed stuff in a timely matter unlike Morgan. My neighbor had some upgrades done and when i asked for the same I was told it would cost 35 bucks for spraying the countertops! Why should the resident pay for the countertops to be upgraded!? Can I take the countertops when I move out!? Don't think so! Morgan has let a nice property go downhill its sad. It might just look like Corporate and Spice lane over here in about a year or two!

Extremely Unhappy Resident
I've been a resident with Morgan West Oaks (formerly Camden West Oaks) for over two years. Since the complex has been purchased by Morgan, the maintenance has gone downhill to say the least. I have had two pipes burst in my kitchen area; neither of which have been completely finished/repaired. Currently, I have two large holes in the ceiling of the laundry area which have been there for almost two months. I have contacted the office several times regarding this issue to no avail. Besides that, my car was towed for almost $300 for "being halfway into another parking space" and per the photo, it was not. They promised that my monies would be refunded but, again, nothing. The staffing is horrible and you hardly see the same person in the office twice. My plans are to move out of state once my lease is up; however, should I stay in the area, I will definitely NOT be renewing my lease.

MOVE OUT!!!!!
I signed a seven month lease with this apartment complex not even 4 months living into this apartments I was ROBBED, and they still were trying to charge us for the broken window. When we fist signed the lease we were told HPD was going to be on DUTY AT ALL TIME, and I never seen any HPD until recently doing nothing but driving on the golf cart. I will be moving out of here when my lease is up-these apartments are going down the drain-maintenance does take their time to repair any problem in the apartment. I will stay in the area on Eldridge going to Briarforest they have some nice apartments-YOU PAY WHAT YOU GET FOR HERE!

Not bad...
It is an older property... not like some of the really nice luxury apartments in the area, which is fine because the price is appropriate. Pool is gorgeous and has modern amenities like a business center and fitness center. I was paying $600 at my last place without amenities like this and can honestly say I'm getting more for my money here (1 bedrooms are under $600 here). Saw the last review about the break-in and I don't know why she has bad things to say about the HPD officers that monitor traffic coming in and out of the apartment. They are doing their job. Don't know what everyone is saying about "vermin" and "riff-raff" because they don't lease to anyone with a criminal record. Whoever was broken into before either must have left her/his door unlocked or given her key to someone (like a vindictive ex... just saying... there are dumb people out there who trust trash) because there were no signs of forced entry according to the last review. It's Houston and crime happens everywhere. I like the new officers here. The old security gaurds were lazy.
