Great community! Right in the middle of Uptown/Galleria area, super close to everything, great price, friendly staff and neighbors. I've been here since 2017 and will be renewing my lease again due to such a great experience.

The community is quiet and peaceful. The grounds are well maintained and the gardens are very nice. My cats like to look out the window at wildlife and people walking by. There is a security guard that makes sure the complex is safe. It is also gated. The apartment is very close to lots of shopping in the area.

The apartment is comfortable and cozy! And the community is full of friendly people, which is a great plus. The office is responsive and helpful, as are the maintenance staff. There are plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy and the pool and hot tub are always clean!

Galleria Oaks is a very well priced apartment complex in an amazing location. Absolutely the best deal you could find in the Galleria area. Office staff are helpful, grounds are well kept, and apartments are in good condition. If you're going to live here, I highly recommend the rooftop gardens. My only real complaints are occasional maintenance issues, but they usually take care of it eventually.

It's old... super old. Coats and coats of paint to hide the age. Pipes, wiring, and foundations are old. The office staff is very two faced; common to make fun of other residents once they leave. It's all smiles when you're signing... after that, no so fun.

Galleria Oaks is an absolutely fantastic place to live. When I discovered this gem in Houston I was hesitant to believe it could be truly great because it's so hard to find an apartment that is, or rather, an apartment complex. I read many reviews about Galleria Oaks and most were positive with a few "caveats", I cannot speak for the past but over the last 3 weeks that I've lived here and 2 months (since I first walked into the office) I can say that the current property management company not only cares a lot about this property but they also have what very well may be the best staff in the entire world. Just to name a few (yes, I'm a real resident, this review is not endorsed, the service is just THAT good that I remember every detail): From the day I walked in, Amanda, Mary & Sally were beyond pleasant. They were downright incredibly. Amanda gave me enough information to make an informed decision and walked me through every step of the process. When we came on a Sunday (figuring they'd be closed, but we were closed by) another young lady helped us out who was also absolutely incredible. As I advanced with the renting process I had the pleasure of working with Nikki, who like the other gals at Galleria Oaks is kind, efficient and downright awesome. The grounds at Galleria Oaks are meticulously maintained and it's evident. In my short time here I seen a single area (of the MANY) garden areas which was in less than perfect condition (a few dead plants due to weather). Almost IMMEDIATELY after it was noticeable the maintenance crew was redoing the entire garden section (near the main pool), in fact, they continued to work even in the pouring rain. The dedication and obvious enjoyment the staff has for the property here is incredible and visible throughout everywhere on the property. The pool is always clean, the jacuzzi clean, the community spotless. Everyone is friendly, the laundry room is in great shape (albeit - most apartments have new washers and dryers). Some of the complaints I've seen in past years from people (I read these before I moved in) included many things which I think are now remedied, let me go on to those to help you if you are considering an apartment: -Internet issues: In the past the internet and cable was locked to a single provider, this is NO LONGER the case. Comcast Xfinity and AT&T are readily available. I was able to transfer my Xfinity service online free and move my own equipment, it took less than 12 hours to become active. Nobody had to come out, no techs, etc. -Water issues: The water is ALWAYS great here. No odors, sediments or other weird stuff. Water pressure is absolutely outstanding in the showers (literally the best I've had) and hot water is readily available and not limited. The apartments themselves are in great shape, the building is older from the 60's and they know it, so they've remodeled properly. The apartments are all carpet-less and have nice ceramic or wood plank floors. Mine are ceramic and "wood look". Plenty of outlets, updated appliances and even built in mirrors make my apartment nice. It's fully updated and there is nothing I would complain about. Rent and maintenance requests can be done online albeit I'm hesitant as I really like going to the office. The staff is just so freakin awesome. It's really hard to emphasize, even as I am not a "people person", I'd rather go into the office. In fact, regularly, I debate bringing them all coffee when I get off work but don't want them to feel like I am a creeper (haha). Parking - you get one spot per bedroom. The parking lot is gated (and yes, they have a smartphone app to open/close). It's all covered and well lit, spaces are easily available. This is because they take parking seriously. After 7PM only cars with a sticker can be in the garage. They do not sell parking stickers, it's one per apartment because they don't want parking complaints. Additional parking is available outside and on the street. It's safe and quiet. There is a courtesy officer all night. Never a problem. Overall this is the best place I've ever lived in Houston and could not imagine feeling more comfortable or at home. 610 and 59 are incredibly close and Galleria mall is too. Everything is close. To conclude, while everything else may be amazing, the staff at Galleria Oaks is what really makes this place amazing. Thank you to Amanda, Mary, Sally & Nikki. You all are amazing. The entire maintenance crew too.

It's a house of cards. The aging property is continuously "patched", but its nearly an entire building of patches. The wiring, pipes, and structure are aged older than most residents. Its comfy- the only reason people renew leases.... but it eventually gets old. Seeing the same dramatic crowds, the leasing office spreading gossip, and fighting to get a parking spot outside for your guests. All in all, you get what you pay for.

I have lived in a lot of different places and living here at Galleria oaks is something special. Sally, Mary and Amanda always make me feel special. I love everything about my new home. I wouldn't change anything and everyone is so nice and makes us feel welcome. Thank you Galleria oak for your support and always helping.

She's old. The structures are from 1958... that means she is 58 years old!! One would think rent would be lower for a senior building. Cosmetic improvements occur, but are only superficial to hide the aging property. -cheap fixtures -old appliances -parking wars -dog waste everywhere Maintenence is great, very quick to patch up whatever you need. The office is different strokes for different folks;some residents consistently have late fees waived or receive preferential treatment in general. (They brag) I've seen enough in my one year here; pay $100 more to lease around the corner, and experience buildings 40 years newer. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

I lived at Galleria Oaks for almost 8 years and the ONLY reason why I left is because I bought a home. It is a small community and extremely accessible to any where you want to go in Houston. The leasing and maintenance staff is amazing and really do tend to the needs of their residents. I lived next to the pool and honestly, it was not an issue. Yes, it is an older complex, but the apartments are upgraded with character. I lived alone and my apartment faced Richmond and I felt completely safe and never had any issues. If you are looking for a place with a sense of quiet community, Galleria Oaks is the place! I can't say enough positive things about the community. Keep up the great work!!!

This has been the best apartment living experience for me in Houston this far. I've lived in Houston about 3 years now and I have never felt quite as at home as I have living at Galleria Oaks. Their staff is not only down to earth but very professional. I can identify one time I had a problem (with the Internet) but they did all they could to help me figure it out. The community is very tight. My neighbor, who I barely knew, even allowed me to use his internet connection until maintenance could fix it. Even when I submit a work order that's low priority, they fix it within 24-48 hours. Although I have only lived here about a year, I have met numerous individuals that have lived here for as little as 3 years to as much as 20 years. And every person that I have met moving out isn't leaving because of the apartments. Usually it's for work in a different city or state (out of their control). Aside from the people, the property is gorgeous. It's like a little paradise you never knew existed in Houston - tranquil and fresh. And they've done such a great job upgrading, from the Internet/cable providers to their website and landscaping. Not to mention, their actual units gorgeous with tile countertops and floors along with wooden floors in the bedroom and giant sliding mirror doors. If you're living alone or have 1-2 roommates or its just you and that special someone, I would highly recommend it. Oh and I have never had any type of roach problem. They have it down!

Had a wonderful stay at Galleria Oaks. Such a friendly community . Very quiet for such a busy area of town, it is very peaceful. Front desk and all the maintenance guys could not be nicer and more helpful. Would recommend this complex to anyone that is looking to live in the Galleria area.

We moved in less than a year ago. We had decent basic cable. Since, the apartment complex cancelled the agreement. Now your only choice it to sign up for satellite, which requires a two year contract. NO CABLE SERVICE; YOU MUST SIGN A TWO YEAR CONTRACT FOR SATELLITE Who wants to live in an apartment where your tv contract is longer than your lease???

I've been living here since 2013 and I have to say, I've never felt more welcome in an apartment community. A lot of people complain that the leasing office may be mean, or that things don't get done in time; but I believe it's all based on your expectations and how you treat the people who you're requesting something from. While I understand you're a tenant and you are paying rent to live there; and it's the apartment's responsibility to correct any problems; if you're yelling and demanding on the phone or via email, cursing at the people who are there to help you out, of course you may get bad treatment OR you may feel the treatment you received wasn't "up to par". I had a situation once, where my AC flooded in the middle of a weeknight. I knew I couldn't get someone in at that time. I called the after hours line, informed them of what happened; informed them that the very pregnant wife and I cleaned up as much as we could, but the thing was still dripping water. I told them that I would leave towels in the laundry room (my unit had washer and dryer included in the rent), and that was it. We both went to work, came back to a fixed apartment and even ran the wash for me for the towels. The only problem you can ever have in an apartment community, is the neighbors. We can't choose them, we just have to deal with them. We had someone call the cops on us due to the, once again, very pregnant wife "stepping too loudly". I can't be mad at the apartment complex. Miffed at what happened, yes. But not at the leasing office and management. All in all, fantastic place to live in. Had we not have a baby at the moment (and rent being not so steep), I believe we would be living there for quite some time. Currently am in the housing market, trying to find something for my soon-to-be toddler, so she has space to walk, crawl, and explore. Moving out in April next year; God willing, we find a house. Regards,

This place is like a "glass half full". It's a much older property, still using a boiler system for hot water, which often results in low water pressure (Mgmt blames the city), murky \ rust color and rotten egg scented showers. Issues with cable \ internet are constant. Due to the zoning of the complex, there are ZERO outside internet services available. NO Att uVerse, No Comcast, only ATT DSL Basic at 784kbs. You are forced to use the complex provided internet which can be decent, but also crawl to a snails pace that inhibits streaming of any kind. In the last month, the contracted cable provider went out of business, leaving the complex with no entertainment options. Your only option is get get a dish-- which comes with seedy pricing and a two year commitment. Who wants to sign a contract longer than their lease? This is not a bad place to live; its older but somewhat cheaper than other complexes in the area. There needs to be an overhaul on the amenities offered.

To start: do not let driving by deceive you! I highly encourage stopping in and seeing what they have to offer!! I lived at galleria oaks for almost 2 years. I was moving from league city area where there are plenty of trees and lots of foliage. To say the least, that is a hard thing to find in the city. When I initially drove by Galleria oaks for the first time, to be honest I took one look at the older sign out front and the parking garage under the units and thought to myself "no way!" But I just so happen to have a friend who lives in the complex. I ended up joining him for a drink and to say that I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The more you walk around inside of this complex the more you realize how much of a gem it is in such a metropolitan area. There are so many cool nooks on the property... Gardens, a pool, hot tub. To mention a few other highlights of living at Galleria Oaks: The rent here is reasonable. It is so close to everything. The area feels surprising safe. The maintenance team is sweet and very courteous when they enter your home. I've never had a problem finding a park spot. The interior may not be new, but the fixtures have been updated and the units all have character! Every time I had guests over they would comment repeatedly "wow! I love it here! This is not what I thought it would be!" The residents who live here aren't a rowdy bunch. My friends who have an apartment right down the street constantly have neighbors outside making noise and being obnoxious. I never had that issue in the 2 years I lived here. And to finish off my review with Galleria Oaks best attribute! The office staff! Mary was who initially did the paperwork and got me all moved in. She is now a property manager and she does absolutely everything in her power to make all situations a win-win for everyone involved. Even when I would be down in the office asking silly questions, asking if I could borrow the fax machine, and basically just being what I'm sure is annoying, Mary never made me feel like I was a bother or that she didn't have time for me. She is one of the most amazing people and she truly makes Galleria Oaks feel like home!

I just moved in and had some problems connecting to the internet because I had an old router. The staff worked with me daily and had IT specialists they contract with to come in and help me until it was resolved within just a few days of me moving in. I'm so grateful how they prioritized my issue since I am in school and need the internet.

My girlfriend and I moved in at the end of March and love the place! So far the location is great, easy access to work with minimal traffic. The place is beautiful, the grounds are well kept. Everyone that works here lives here and they are constantly maintaining the property. This place is a community unlike the other apartments that are run by management companies that only care about leasing apartments. This place is truly a hidden gem in the Galleria area. Everyone that works in the office is great and they take the time to explain things to you and even call when you have had a package delivered. Mary was great when we signed the lease and explained everything to great detail, and continues to be nice and friendly when we see her on property. Sally is the property manager and always addresses us by name when we see her. The best part about this community is that We feel safe when I walk my dog at night, the complex is very secure with working gates and cameras. Another interesting fact, we looked at the complex one day and were quoted a price we filled out applications and had to come back the next day and the rent was lowered 25 dollars, who does that! They explained that rent is a commodity and it was lower the day we finished up the application process.
