The community itself is very pretty, however, we have never been assisted or responded to in a timely manner. We are still waiting on maintenance requests we put in back when we first moved in. The employees at the leasing office are very nice but also seem clueless on how to help. The pool has not been open once since we moved in, you can not switch over you unit from the heating and cooling system without the whole building changing, we have seen rats and cockroaches and there is only one parking spot per entire unit while the visitors lot is on the very edge of the property.

Great community with fantastic amenities, modern looks and appliances. Regular pest control and trash pickup is great. Additionally. Facilities takes care of trash and the appearance of the property. Cons: apartment heating and cooling controlled by the landlords, AC cut off and on when they choose. AC does not work after they switch depending on time of year

If I'm being honest the staffs hospitality is absolutely amazing however it takes a long time to get anything fixed even if it's an "emergency" I've got friends that live in another unit and they have holes in the walls and the lights don't work despite asking maintenance to come out. I don't think it's maintenance fault, I just think the apartments are just old but I also think maintenance needs more people on their team.

Horrible Staffing
My bathroom toilet has been broken for over week with poop in it. 2 guy came in to try and fix the toilet but could not fix it. I put in another service ticket but no came. I called the office the tell me they have more important emergency than the one I am calling about I told him I pay for two bathroom not one. They are extremely slow with everything and I have to call them multiple times to fix stuff. The guy I spoke over the phone was very rude and need to be fired and the entire staff in the office including the maintenance team they are all worthless. Please do not rent from these people. If you do you will regret it. I will be contacting their corporate office first thing tomorrow morning. This is absolutely insane.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. they have bugs problems, rude employees(tammy), and lie about their upgraded units. i was supposed to get and upgraded unit, my unit has a black refrigerator and microwave. and when i brought it to tammy's attention she pushed it off saying that she never said upgraded units get stainless steel. i hate it here and i want to move!

Do not waste your money
Where do I begin the apartment pool never works since I've been here the gate does not work the staff is ------ management is ------ they have roaches and rats they break into your cars they tow your cars for no reason it's just ------ like I said I wouldn't waste your money it's --------- oh listen I get on the maintenance man they try to talk to everybody in their perverts

The service was great. 10/10. Tammie personally did a great job for me. She listened to all my needs and helped me find the best fit for those needs. The apartments were very clean and felt safe and well managed.

It's been hell since I moved in August 2025. Trying to get things fixed that should've already been repaired before I moved in has been a nightmare. It takes months before things are fixed around here. I still have things that haven't been fixed since I've been here in August.

Poor response to work requests. Never had a request fixed until this last one because it had to do with a water issue! If maintenance is needed, then yours need to stay on top of the office staff daily!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, quiet feel to the property. Seems to have good rental clientele. Golf course gives feeling of "open air" to the community. Ongoing construction, but that means improvements are being made, so maybe a good thing.

Do not move to Thornbury at chase oaks. You will regret it. Grounds are nasty. Staff is miserable. The list goes on and on. Safety is a big concern. Lots of police activity. Kids have nothing to do so they throw rocks at buildings and cars.

The community itself is quite good ? the surroundings are peaceful, the people are friendly, and the overall environment feels safe and comfortable. However, the biggest concern here is the maintenance. It is far below expectations, especially considering the rent we are paying. Basic issues often take a long time to be addressed, and sometimes maintenance requests are not handled properly the first time. This creates inconvenience, especially for residents who rely on timely service for essential home repairs or apartment-related problems. Another point worth mentioning is the age of the buildings. Even though the apartments are older compared to many other communities in the area, the rent remains almost the same as what newer or better-maintained places charge outside. This doesn't feel fair because residents expect at least reliable maintenance support if the buildings are not modern. The combination of older units and slow maintenance makes the value for money questionable. Overall, while the community atmosphere is good, the maintenance quality needs major improvement. Faster response times, more professional handling of repair requests, and better upkeep of the property would make a significant difference. Residents are willing to pay fair rent, but they also expect equally fair service in return.

washing machine installation
I had Lowe's deliver a new washing machine to replace my old one. The delivery people said they couldn't install the new machine because they couldn't remove the hoses from the old one. They said I would have to contact my apartment maintenance staff and have them remove the hoses, then they would come back out and install the new machine. That seemed a bit odd to me. In any event, they left my apartment and I was left with a new washing machine sitting in the middle of my living room. Seriously??? I went down to the Thornbury leasing office the next morning and explained the situation to them. The Property Manager, Tammy, immediately contacted Rene in maintenance and he came out within 5 minutes. He not only removed the old hoses (with his HANDS btw), but also installed the new washing machine. It works like a charm!!! That was absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service displayed by Rene and by Tammy. People sometimes underestimate just how important maintenance issues are to making an apartment community a desirable place to live. That is a BIG deal in my book. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done. I would recommend living here on that aspect alone.

After all the frustration here I don't recommend it. Or lease at your own risk. But apartment is quiet that's the only thing I like about it. But to be honest it's not worth all the stress this place puts me through

Maintenance doesn't follow up with requests or, just cancels them all together. I still have maintenance issues from my move in 9 months ago that they still haven't addressed. We could not use the pool are amenities for the majority of the summer due to "maintenance."

Management has a very high turnover rate are often rude. Maintenance requests sometimes go unserviced for several months or just forgotten all together. My AC has not worked for over a week and when I called about it I was told they'll get to it when they can.

This particular complex has systemic issues including water, power, internet, heating, air conditioning, insect control, internal and external craftsmanship and needs to focus on root cause corrections. The office staff and maintenance staff are both excellent, however, unable to course correct. I personally don't mind because I read reviews and knew what I was getting into. While it is inappropriate for me to purchase and run a portable air conditioning unit, a space heater, drink only purified/filtered water, run air filters, perform my own pest control and deal with internal flooding... it's not the worst place I've rented.

Apartments are quiet for the most part, but ina good way. I never felt unsafe and these being my first apartments, I love it. Maintenance and office staff have always been really nice. Apartments are also beautiful.

Office staff are horrible never answer the phone or call back. Maintenance staff delete work requests and the work never gets completed. I have put in the same maintenance request multiple times since April, it is now the end of October and it still has not been addressed. It has just been a horrible experience and do not recommend anyone to move here. Police are here multiple times a week, kids run wild in the parking lot on motorcycles and 4 wheelers.

Leasing agent was kinda rude. Interior apartment was not really kept up looked to be in bad shape. Price was kinda high. Gates weren't working. I don't know just overall got turned off. Glad I didn't apply before going by!
