Thornbury at Chase Oaks Apartments is a very good place to live for individuals and families. It's a beautiful and safe community near shop stores . And rent rates are affordable . There is some issues with maintenance respond speed. But rest is perfect.

I like living here. Been here for many years. It's a beautiful property. They do many things well. Some things...not so much. I'm not going to enter 200 characters worth of experience just because it's a "requirement" for this review. That is arbitrary and stupid. My opinion meets the 200 character requirement. I'm calling it good.

Moving in seems to be what was important to this community right now. As it stands now, I don't feel confident that any future problems will be resolved in a timely manner. It is unfortunate that they felt the need to lie, instead of taking care of their renters that pay their salary.

MISERABLE place to live.
I lived here for two years. The rent is low, but the quality is disappointing. Rooms are painted white and called “renovated.” Over the past year, I noticed cockroaches and pantry bugs, and pest control service has declined. Trash often piles up in hallways, and outside areas are poorly maintained. Leaks in pipes and sprinklers go unrepaired for weeks, and parking awnings can remain damaged for months. Maintenance requests are frequently delayed or ignored. AC units leak refrigerant and often need replacement, with slow response times. A ceiling leak appeared as I was moving out; despite multiple emergency tickets, it was not fixed for weeks, causing sheetrock damage and mold. Early lease termination incurred thousands in fees despite these issues. CAF management staff are courteous, but the property is poorly maintained, and many repairs are neglected.

Great experience overall. Workers were super helpful and welcoming. Location is great, unit looked good, apartments looked clean and comfortable. Amenities were great as well. Daryl (I believe his name was) was super personable and helpful.

Things were great for a little while. The last several years I have been here things have not been great. Phones are never answered at the office, maintenance reports are not handled in a timely manner. Poor communication.

Horrible Management
My ac went out and they told me someone was on call which they were suppose to come that’s same day never came. My son and I were in heat the entire weekend. This is unacceptable. I will be moving out of this apartment once my lease is up.i advice no one to move here they don’t come fix on anything when you call them. We pay for pets control no body comes out to the do the service ever.

We had a very rough start with management in the beginning of our lease. Terrible communication, terrible attitudes. We bit our tongues because we scored a unit with a large yard for our two dogs. So we felt like we needed to suck it up. Management changed and things got better. The type of people who work in this industry is a hit or miss. Some are very nice and helpful and some are just terrible to deal with. I will say that maintenance at this complex has not been the worse, they came very quickly and leave notes for the most part.

My experience so far did start off a little rocky however maintenance and staff are working diligently to take care of all issues. I look forward to having all issues resolved and recommending anyone I know to lease here! The price for our unit in this day and time is perfect!

I found out about these apartments through plano housing authority and McKinney housing authority. They have great ratings and I love the way they are set up nice clean, updated units reasonable pricing also a program for if you make under 2x rent..

I've had an excellent experience living at thornberry chase oaks from the moment I moved in, everything has exceeded my expectations. The new management team is friendly, professional, and always quick to respond to any questions or maintenance requests.

Rotten. There's cockroaches, dirty carpets, dirty walls, chipped paint on the cabinets, and the countertops are old and warped with water damage. The A/C never works, and maintenance rarely fixes any of these problems.

The apartment is great, but make sure you do a walkthrough of the unit you'll be renting. They do the bare minimum to prepare the apartment for you. Our floors were covered in adhesive we had to remove ourselves and the balcony floods and is covered in algae.

The tour was very personalized. We rode on a golf cart everywhere, which was a very nice touch. Though it was very nice, We were shown an unfinished unit and to make up for it, we were taken to see the model unit which was also very nice

Beware ! Worst Apartment Complex and Management !
BEYOND WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX AND MANAGEMENT ! THE BAD REVIEWS ARE FROM CURRENT OR PAST TENANTS THAT HAVE MOVED OUT DUE TO THE UNBEARABLE CONDITIONS FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX AND CAF MANAGEMENT! Everything has been documented so stay tuned! I moved in May 23rd, the AC broke within 1 week; I didn't have my AC fixed until 4 months later after the hot summer. I had to take matters into my own hands and purchase a portable a/c unit to be able to bear the heat in the apartment. I took photos of the thermostat throughout that time. I had reached out multiple times every week but I hear nothing back and nothing gets done. These apartment complexes have in unit washer and dryer, which I was not given at the time of my move-in date. I also reached out many times and the issue was always pushed aside stating that they will be coming in next week. Weeks and months go by and yet no washer and dryer. I contacted management either by phone or in person and yet nothing gets done. After living halfway into my lease, I finally receive a washer and dryer. I was also promised a garage when available. Never received one, yet there has been so many people moving out and many garages empty. I reached out to the office multiple times regarding a garage and I was informed they are in the middle of cleaning. Like I stated before, NOTHING GETS DONE HERE. Another issue is the infestation of roaches. All tenants pay a monthly pest control fee yet there are roaches throughout the complex. You can see the proof in the many reviews stating the infestations. Yet, management doesn't do a single thing about it. At this rate, this place needs to shut down due to the unlivable conditions. CAF MANAGEMENT is the company responsible for the apartment complex and they will have this review submitted as well.

I was told my apartment would be move in ready on a Friday, but did not receive paperwork or anything else until move in day the following day when I was standing in the leasing office asking for my keys. My carpets were absolutely soaked and therefore could not move in until another day after that so the fans could dry them out more. Parking is extremely inconvenient especially if you have 2 young children and have to carry them upstairs as well. I paid extra for a covered parking spot (which I declined when I initially applied) and was told I have no choice. They give you a gate clicker but the gates are open 24/7 which doesn't make you feel completely safe here.
