I'll start by saying the location is perfect, lots of fun amenities near by and minutes away from good eats and shopping. The neighbors are friendly and I've been able to make a few friends already in my short time. I really like the management I've personally gone to Morgan with a few issues, all of which were handled in a timely manner, and she would follow up with me each time to make sure everything was completed to satisfaction. She's smart, beautiful, really knows the business and understand people, it's quite the relief. The Maintenace guys are awesome, friendly, and smart. Really made me feel comfortable. I come from out of state, and I have to say the atmosphere around this neighborhood feels great and safe. I recommend this community for everyone. Cheers!

Exceptionally large rent increases are forcing many residents to leave. Thornbury has a nice setting with trees and open space, but the units are old and need updating, including mechanicals. Exterior improvements are being made, but not interior. So, if you can afford this much rent, you need to decide if you prefer new or trees, which is a personal choice.

I have caught 4.5 rats in the past week and a half. It took the office 4 days to send maintenance to come close a hole that he assumed the rat was coming through and 7 days for the office to send pest control. I have been feeling like I'm in a dream. Me and my son could not sleep here last night. We believe the maintenance man closed the hole behind our refrigerator and possibly locked one in here or they are coming through from below the cabinet. Thornbury is a beautiful place. Very quiet and spacious. I had hoped this would be our final apartment for the next couple years while we save for a house. But I just can't keep my two year old son here with these rats. It would be different if management would compensate us for our troubles because it's not us. Our apartment is completely spotless and they've told us that it's coming from recent contruction going on near our apartment. So it's understandable to an extent but I expected more. I pay way too much rent for an apartment to be afraid to cook or let my son sleep alone in his room. It's almost as if they don't care for my son, boyfriend, nor my wellbeing. I paid my rent yesterday, full price, no discount for the hotel room I had to get or for the vacuum cleaner to pick up rat dropping or the 10+ rat traps or just for the inconvenience. I am disappointed. Before this, no complaints at all!!! I will return to the office today to give them the update that the rats are still here. Below are pictures. We also have a video of the most recent rat in action from under our cabinet.

The ladies that work in the office are wonderful, and they do what they can to help. The problem comes with issues out of their hands. I wish I had read more reviews before moving in. I strongly urge others to do this. You do not want to get stuck paying an absurd amount of money ($260) for your guests' cars to be towed due to faults in the system out of the resident's control. Do not expect any type of reimbursement. I am going to continue fighting the issue, but I hope nobody else has to deal with this. There is also a maintenance shortage. I am now dealing with the towing issue after going a week without a usable kitchen sink. I was badly leaking (ended up needing the entire disposal replaced) and began smelling like mildew before it ever got taken care of.

I have been living in this complex for just over a year now. I am moving out at the end of August. This wasn't a terrible place to live in initially, but there have been so many key things for myself that made me want to leave. There has been a lot of foundation issues and I have to continually call to get them to fix/fill in the cracks in the walls of my apartment. The apartment complex switched company hands back in October and while I like some of the girls in the office, it has been really rough on us tenants. My unit suffered a massive leak when I first moved in (should have known) and I seem to have issues with water bugs from time to time, whether thats also because I'm on the first floor, I have no idea. It seems like each month there is a new "policy". Rent has gone up, but for what? Many units, including mine, do not have granite or upgraded fixtures, and they don't do package delivery. Some tenants can be really loud and unruly, this isn't exactly a younger community either. Lots of families and children, which is ok in my book, but some might not like it so much. It also lists this apartment as a "gated" community, but they frequently leave the gate open or it ends up being broken thanks to some idiot. The maintenance crew is the best thing this place has going for it. Kyle, Miguel, and the other few guys on the crew are always working hard and seem to be just as frustrated as the tenants with all the new policies. They do the best they can with what they have. My advice? If you're in a bind, this place might be alright. Its clean, yards are maintained, and they accept pets. But if you're on the hunt for a place you'll be happy at, keep looking!

The units are very spacious. The updates they did are great. Very modern but yet still has a strong home feel. Great part of town. Quiet community but very close to the city and convenient places. Front end staff is the sweetest and will help you with anything. Maintenance team is prompt and very sweet.

We have spent about half a year at the Thornbury at Chase Oaks and it's been fairly low-touch in terms of problems and frustrations. We have had quite a number of needs and requests and they've all been met with diligence and pretty strong communication. The staff in the office seems small to medium, but they also seem to work very hard and get the work done at the end of the day. My roommate and I actually have the pleasure of being located next to the maintenance man and he's been very pleasant and very helpful.

My husband and I just moved in last month. And we love it! The neighbors are pretty quiet, the neighborhood is pretty and the apartments are very spacious. Not only that but the layout for the apartments is very open, full of natural light (lots of windows) and very modern. The balconies are huge and their appliances are pretty new. I also like the location, it's very close to hwy 75 and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The front office is amazing, very helpful and attentive to our needs and requests. The only thing I can complain about is parking. It's very hard to find a parking spot after 10 pm so if you know you are coming home late plan on parking far. Apt#1035

My husband and I have lived here since November 2015. I love it here, the staff is awesome and very proficient and accomodating. If I have an issue they jump on it and correct it immediately. Maintemance is awesome, always on the spot and very knowledgeable. Staff is always friendly and acknowledges us by name when they see us out on property. I love that about them. You will not be disappointed living here.

I felt compelled to write a review to commend CAF management, office managers, leasing consultants and maintenance personnel for the excellent service, support and care during the transition and upgrades to the apartment homes (including my own). After living in a home for several years, I came back to apartment living. The Thornbury staff made my transition and experience much easier and very pleasant. The team is very responsible and act quickly on any concerns/complaints. To the team I say: Job well done!!! P.S. The location is also excellent too!

I have only been here 2 months...I have found the staff at the office friendly and willing to help, the maintenance has been outstanding for any issues I have found and reported. Which really are the two areas I judge an apartment complex on. I walk sometimes and the grounds look good, they are pet friendly and have an enclosed area to walk your dog with pet stations inside that enclosure and in many places throughout the complex to make it easier for pet owners to clean up after their pets (can't say the pet owners ALL do that...but the complex has provided bags and dump sites in many areas.) The lighting is good, some in the green areas are motion (which can be annoying if one is outside your window, and people are walking their dogs late). General area...If you golf (I don't) there is a golf course right next door, and the Legacy Cinemark theater is within walking distance (in my opinion, and I am not in shape). Just a bit off 75 so a short drive north or south will get you to a variety of restaurants. Overall, though there may be some issues (very minor) , I would rate this place a 5 overall, nice apartment, great maintenance team, and friendly staff.

I have been living here over a year, with the staffing switch. In my experience I have been very vocal about any issues that have come up. I've complained about a car thats been parked under covered for months and they have acted on it. I have put in typical maintenance requests and they are done timely and with good work. I received new carpet when I re-signed my lease a they deemed it was time and my old carpet was worn enough. That was a great experience. Any complaint that I've ever had (nothing too big in my eyes) has been dealt with appropriately and timely. The maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful at any time! When I walk into the office the staff is pretty quick to assist me. Their communication is improving since previous staff. They obviously heard complaints about packages and they now are accepting packages to the office (I just called to confirm that info to be certain). To this community is great. If you have an issue and bring it to their knowledge they do what they can to help and satisfy you.

This place was perfect when I moved in in 2015. This new company and staff have decided they'd rather just ---- the place up and try to squeeze as much money out of it before it sinks. Hot water periodically turns off, dog ---- everywhere, no where near enough parking (they decided charging for parking is the solution?), stopped accepting packages so now we have to take off work to get a package (the office staff is so busy sitting around they can't keep track of a few packages). I see people getting towed in the middle of the night, and I'd understand if there was plenty of parking but these people are just trying to get home...I hope this place crumbles underneath this new company.

As I sit here in my apartment CARLESS.... This new management company reminds me of one of those college slum lords who are in league with the tow companies and uses them as an extra income source to fleece their tenants. What's this firms name? CAF What's their solution for the parking problem here? Charge the tenants for covered parking. Really?? Charge us to park? I'll never sign a lease that says I have to pay to park in my own complex. The parking situation here is already attrocious AND NOW they have begun towing long time residents for double parking (on Super Bowl Sunday of all nights). I've never even seen a tow truck in the two years I've lived here until this firm took over. I work 3-11 and when I come home there are scarcely any parking spaces left, yet they have a huge green space and doggy park on the other side of the complex that they could easily turn into MORE PARKING! The Dog Park is a waste of space. They might as well bulldoze it because it's not like any of the residents pick up their dogs poop. POOP is everywhere on the grounds, you have to watch out not to step in it on the walkways and the grass. It's disgusting. But why would they want to build more parking when they generate revenue and probably get a kick back from the tow company for towing residents car? That kind of business never happened at our complex in Allen. It was the policy there that they call their residents before they tow them. This complex has my number. They didn't call me and now I am out $200 for a tow. Sidenote: There are a bunch of scratch marks on the pavement where the tow company towed my car which I have included in the picture section. So now it looks like my car may be damaged.

I started renting in June 2015 and this complex was pretty great! That is until the leadership change about half way through my time here. Ownership Changes cascaded into employment and policy changes and on the whole he complex came out MUCH worse for it. - They stopped package pickup and didn't bother coordinating with ups in order to enable ups mychoice at the location. This meant you had to coordinate with ups to arrange a pickup somewhere outside the complex or drive down to misquite. I personally worked with ups to get the address registered as residential, which enabled use of mychoice. I even told the staff after I did it in case they wanted to send out an email and stem the complaints about the lack of package pick-up but they didn't act on it. They have re-engaged with it since but only in a limited capacy (they'll hold it for a few days at max) and I don't expect it to last. - They scheduled rent increases and mine would have been up by $50 per month. It seems hey put that money into remodeling the already beautiful lobby. It still looks alright aside from one wall being decorated with pjnk rhinestones in the fashion of a teenage girl's bedroom. - They starting with rentable covered parking. One of the best things about his complex was the availabilit of parking; I never had to walk more than 30 feet to get to my apartment and most of the time I could part about 15 ft from my door on the first floor. The idea of renting heir cheap corrugated covered parking spots is obscene and its only made worse by the fact they one of the collapsed under storm a few months back from a treee *branch* not the whole tree; just the branch. Overall thecomplex is pleasant and quiet with an ok location, but its not close to being worth $965 a month (+parking fees if you choose that) and the staff have alienated me enough to move. Im now renting a prettier apartment for $100 less in a much better location. They also rent parking but at least the covers look nice.

This place has pros and cons. Pros, safe neighborhood, nice size apartment. Cons...for some reason the water shuts off periodically with no explanation. The walls are paper thin and I have an upstairs neighbor that vacuums at 3 in the morning and sounds like Big Foot when they walk. Assigned parking is needed asap. People are not friendly and some residents do not know how to control their dogs. I've also noticed a lot of hillbillies live here that clearly need to take classes on race relations. Also it is clear that some residents are nasty because they can't even put their garbage in the garbage bin. Rent is overpriced and why are we paying a water and gas bill? Also the hot water really doesn't get hot until after 10pm. New management staff are ok but they don't seem to follow up on complaints regarding other residents. The complex is not quiet in my side because there is an idiot that rides his loud a$$ motorcycle back and forth through the parking lot. Also there seems to be a leaf blower blowing every damn day. So some people on here really need to stop with the lies and BS

Loved the location. Apt is now under new management and isn't as stellar as the previous one was. New front office needs work on etiquette. Glad they kept the old maintenance people or else none of the service work would be done on time.

DON'T choose this complex. First, parking is a nightmare because there are not enough spaces per residents. Some families have more than one vehicle, and that creates the problem. Several nights l have returned home at 8 or 9 p.m. only to circle and circle the complex looking for a parking space. Second, there is new and RUDE management as the complex was recently purchased by a new company.

We just moved in and love it so far. The grounds are beautiful with trees everywhere. The inside of the apartment is spacious with lots of storage space. The kitchen is small but the appliances are new and nice. I am surprised at how quiet it is here. I expected it to be noisier. The location of the apartments are also a plus - close to 75, a golf course, Walmart, etc. The complex has recently been taken over by new owners so we'll see if they do a good job. Maintenance has been timely and everyone has been really nice. Overall, we're very pleased with this property and look forward to living here for a while!
