It's okay but the kids feel like the neighborhood is boring. Most of The amenities are not kid friendly. It seems as if the pets in the neighborhood have more fun. The neighbors are friendly. It would be nice if kids ages 11 and up could get cocoa from time to time on cold mornings

My roommate and I love living at Adalay Bay. The apartments are like brand new, we moved in and felt as if we were the first ones living there. The office staff is wonderful- they know us by name and are always smiling and willing to assist us with whatever we need. The maintenance staff is quick to respond, very polite, and always clean up any messes they make before they leave. The grounds of the complex are kept up well, landscaping and cleaning up is done year round. We're in our second year at Adalay Bay and love it. I think you get what you pay for, and that this place is worth the price tag.

My husband and I are very pleased with this apartment complex. The staff in the leasing office are always so pleasant. Maintenance work gets tended to very quickly. We love our apartment. This apartment complex is super pet friendly, which was important in our decision when searching for an apartment. Our pup loves the dog run area they have here. I recommend Adalay Bay to anyone I know who is moving into the Hampton Roads area.

We have lived in several apartments in the Hampton Roads area, and Adalay Bay is by far the very best one we have lived in! The office staff is friendly and amazing! And the amenities are a huge plus, we love the gym, car wash station, park, and the pool in the summer! The only downside we have found in our time spent living here is the parking situation late at night. It's a short walk to the grocery store, several restaurants, nail salon, banks, and so much more. The complex is fairly quiet for the most part. Maintenance is quick to fix any issues. And they take dog waste disposal very seriously. There are several waste bins with bags located all near the buildings. All of our neighbors are super friendly!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to rent in the Chesapeake School District, the price is decent and I love the open floor plan.

We moved into the apartments before my husband deployed at the beginning of 2013. We wanted to be in a good school district and have easy access to the interstate to make traveling to the base easier! One thing that appealed to us was no breed restrictions. As pit owners it was a big selling point! We fell in love with the open floor plans, the amenities and the area. I noticed shortly after we moved in that everyone seemed really friendly, you walk your dog and run into other renters who smile and say hello! The car wash station is a huge plus in the spring and summer and fall (has been closed all winter due to the temperatures) Our son loves to play at the playground and our dog loves the dog park! Pool is great during the summer! And great place to grill on summer nights. The maintenance guy is amazing! Always says hi to our son and they are always quick to respond to our service requests!!! I would say the only cons to these apartments is the parking, (if you get home at a later time it is hard to find a space in front of your building) but things seem to have gotten a bit better. The walls are a bit thin, if you are in the bathroom you can hear your neighbor in there as well. But thats just apartment living. We have had issues with noise from our neighbors and the office was quick to handle the situation! I feel like the carpet stains easily since it's a lighter brown color, from normal wear and tear. But after over 2 years I guess any carpet would need a good cleaning. The gym is great and the Internet cafe is also great when you need to print things! They have a coffee machine which is nice for the mornings. Just wish they kept the hot coca in stock! We have lived in several apartments and these are by far the nicest! Never felt unsafe when my husband was gone! We are very happy with these apartments and the staff is very friendly and helpful when you need it!

I would like two things to be done. First, In the internet cafe' the coffee machine has an option to make coco. However, their's never any in their to make. Second, the hand sanitizer machine in the gym is never filled up for our use nor is the paper towel dispenser filled. Also, we need more parking spaces, I think that we should at least be allowed to have one parking space. Sometimes when I get home after 5 pm, there are no spaces, I find myself parking buildings away from where I live. Example parking near the rental office is highly inconvenient.

The service that was provided was very inviting and proper. The amenities that are provided to the residents are very amazing! The free wi-fi, out-door pool, caf? and business lounge, and the twenty-four hour gym is just great. I couldn't ask for more and the garage deals and specials are splendid as well.

The neighbors have been nice and very helpful. The apartments are conveniently located to shopping and the highways. The maintenance and grounds staff are very efficient and cleanly. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I am truly satisfied with my choice of choosing Adalay Bay Apartments.

This is a nice community, but I am not happy with the various types of bugs. The staff is friendly. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and banks in the area. There's a good amount of parking and the amenities are good - gym, pool, car wash.

it is a beautiful community but my only issue is that we don't have enough events. Many of the surrounding properties are always keeping the residents engaged at least once or twice a month with different types of fun activities like paint nights, holiday/pool parties(with music), and even now having food trucks visit the property. We used to do so much more. But otherwise I have no real complaints, maintenance and office staff are great and I am blessed to be a resident of Adalay Bay.

We visited this complex in October. This manager is nice and very professional. The pet fee is very hefty compared to most apartments in this area, $400 non-refundable. That was a deal breaker for me. The inside of the unit we saw was nice, nothing too special. You can't paint the walls yourself, you have to pay $100/wall to have them painted professionally. It seems like a nice place to live, I'm sure we would have liked living there, but the apartments are expensive for what they are.

Close to lots of shopping, banks and the bypass. Very clean and spacious apartments. Parking is good. Lots of conveniences like carwash & business center. The only downside to living here is the noise that comes from upstairs neighbors. We really enjoy living here.

The front desk or office is unorganized, so keep all the information they give you and what you fill out. They have community vacuum and car wash area, however, pieces are usually missing. Maintenance are friendly and are quick with responses.

It is a nice place to live, sometimes I wish we had on site security, because during the summer my car was broken into over night. Lately I've noticed pest trying to creep into my home I'm assuming they came from apt underneath me.I also wish the pool was open a little longer.

The staff here is really nice and helpful. I do think that there could be gas grills throughout the complex but other than that it's a nice place to live. The maintenance workers are quick to respond and always have a good fix. Nice apartment complex in a really nice part of Chesapeake.

I have been here less than 2 weeks and have had to have them spray for roaches..HUGE ones! It has NOT helped-I would not write this review if not for finding out other floors share this issue. Safe area and great place if you can over look the bugs. The amenities and safety of this complex is the reason we are staying hoping this issue is fixed.

Do not move into this community without first giving it a thorough walk through. I've had numerous bug problems mainly spiders and the quality of work the maintenance team performs is terrible. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

The staff and maintenance crew is absolutely wonderful. The rent is a bit high for what you get but it is very safe and close to shopping. The square footage is also a bit small but it is apartment living. The support of the staff and crew do make the experience as pleasant as possible. The biggest downside is the parking as you are not guaranteed to park near your building.
