Declining Community

My first two years living here under the management of Angela in the front office were superb! She was very friendly, went out of her way to speak to everyone and get to know tge residents, she frequented the common areas like the gym, Cafe and conference room often, ensured to do daily checks to make sure things were clean and fully stocked. Once she left, things went downhill. maintenance requests sometimes get lost and take triple the time although the maintenance staff themselves provide excellent service. The common areas are less kept, floors frequently dirty, teas don't stay as stocked, many times the bathrooms in the community areas are not clean and not stocked with toilet paper. We pay a community fee to help with these amenities which is a big part of why I originally chose to move here and my first two years it was all well monitored. I have clearly seen the huge difference in upkeep and care. Tge staff is not as hands on amd engaging with the residents as Angela was. Angela was excellent in helping to keep the community clean. Not just the common areas but she frequently toured the buildings ensuring trash wasn't kept outside of apartments. They used to do a building sweep of the common stains and walkways, I haven't seen it done in months. It has dead bugs, webs trash amd debris. I pay close to 3K for my 3 bedroom including all the extra fees like community fee and I should not have to experience this type of service with such high prices. The appliances are outdated especially the washer and dryer. They recently installed a new Smart Rent device to control my house lock to the front door which is completely digital, thermostat, lights to the front area, and sensors to the water heater and pipes which I have not been able to access at all since it was installed. Been waiting for over a week now amd when I call all I get is they are waiting on an email response from the company. It seems like no due diligence at all on their part. The trash compactor is often overflowing making tge community unclean with trash frequently outside on the ground piling up. This used to be such a clean, positive amd friendly environment. Such a decline and I will ensure to vacate promptly.

Community is great, neighbors are considerate. It is within walking distance of a lot of convienent locations, ie grocery stores, restaurants, the hospital, and many more if you look around. Only downside is being so close to the highway the sound drifts in.

Very difficult to get answers when you have a problem through leasing manager. You make a complaint they don't follow through, very easy to get evicted. Dog Poop all over community no fines given. Very Large Dogs on property

Nice size apartment and good location. The parking is horrible. It needs to be assign parking. Anyone can just park anywhere and sometime I have walk a block or two from my apt which is dangerous at night. And too many bugs the trees need to be treated.. hallways are filled with bugs have sweep every other day.

The community is usually quiet. All maintenance or service personnel have been polite and professional. The pool is usually clean on not overcrowded. We always find a seat around the pool. Close to shopping and dining.

Location is perfect. Staff takes care of their residents. Units are solidly made.Quiet and Great events during the summer time seasons. I've been at Adalay Bay for six years going on 7. Allot of choices of contracts for short term military.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facilities; such as conference room, weight room, and pool are excellent. Only issue would be is parking. Lack of designated parking controls when I can go food shopping because I am unable to get a parking space near the entrance of my apartment.

Great complex with good amenities. Nice updated apartment rooms. Parking is hectic at night, but overall it was a nice peaceful stay with nice neighbors, maintenance staff and office staff. The office gym is nice too.

I love the staff they're very helpful. When you need them, they take good care of their tenants. They're very polite and make sure everything is working properly. My only concern is the parking issue. , we have to park so far away from our apartment. And walk in the dark. That's my only issue that I have.

Great community amenities, pool, gym, and cafe. Apartments close to I64, close to military bases, shopping, dining, and only 20 minutes to the beaches, Virginia beautiful beaches. Management team is top notch

Like it very much. Only complaint is the awful smell of dog piss when I sit outside on the balcony seems to be the favotspot for other tenants to walk there dog and poop and pee for the dogs. Plus the grass is dead from all the fog pee terrible site and smell

It's been lovely, everything is so close and the grounds are well-kept. It really is just a cozy and quiet corner of town despite being right next to both Battlefield and the expressway. The staff are helpful and courteous too. It's a little steep in price, but I don't have many gripes other than that.

Parking is horrible and having to walk to my building at night with limited lighting is dangerous. I understand that there aren't any security measures at the moment but better lighting might help. Thank you
