I currently live in a one bedroom, it's a great size! Big walk in closet in bedroom, and many other closets with plenty of storage! Apartment is quite and in a safe area. Modern look and appliances! Gas fireplace is great!

This community is very family oriented with a lot of little kids but it's very quiet. It's clean and everyone is friendly. The apartments are spacious and the Leasing and Maintenance staff are very helpful. I'm happy here.

The Elms offers a variety of floor plans featuring granite counters and stainless appliances and lots of light. The clubhouse features a pool, a gym, and a cyber cafe and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The grounds are well maintained and the location is convenient to everything you might need. Great place to call home!

The place is incredibly loud. Really, really loud. You can hear your neighbors all the time and every door slam. Also I've seen the police come a few times to break up fights which isn't great. There is ONE trash compactor for the entire complex. One. We drive our trash to the compactor because it's too far otherwise. This is what we pay for in our "trash fee." The compactor area is absolutely disgusting and not cleaned up frequently. Management constantly sends out notices threatening fees for parking, trash, and pets, but so far, despite the ridiculous amount of emails, nothing's changed. Don't move here.

When I first moved into the Elms I loved it. It was quiet, the apartments were new, and the price was right (it had just opened as well). After a year of moving here, I regret signing on for another year. Let's begin with noise. I can hear whenever anyone lets a door their door shut on its own and I can hear everything a neighbor says right outside their door as I sit in the living room. Fine - not a huge deal. Second, there are tons of kids in this complex which is not a bad thing at all! However, the teenagers/kids that hang out at the little park by the pool are extremely LOUD. I can hear all their little conversations up on the third floor of the building with the tv on. Many emails have gone out asking parents to control their kids with no changes. As for emails, multiple emails go out threatening trash, parking and animal fines. With 1 trash compactor for an entire complex, they should expect trash build up - they told residence they were going to go through the trash and fine residences. I recently had to pay 150 for parking tags as they were not enforced previously but after a year of course I've lost them. And will have to do so again if I ever get a new car/rental. There is very very limited visitor parking that is only on 1 side of the complex even though for the last year and a half I have no issues finding parking (that's a positive). I think communication is very lacking with this complex. Maintenance is always scheduled a day before or without much notice. I've also had an issue with my mail, letters missing and packages that are supposed to be in the package mailbox but when I open it, there is nothing in there? I've lost some packages/even had my neighbors come looking for theirs. Maintenance is pretty good at this location and there is a washer and dryer. It looks like an ideal location/price at first, but please be aware that electric, gas, and water do add up very quickly as well as fees and fines that this complex sneaks up on you. I've never had to pay 75-55 dollars for a water bill for a 1-bed apartment before living here. I really wish I had time to rethink my second year as I definitely would have chosen differently.

First let's start with the obvious: the place is within FEET of the train tracks. There's a fence, but if a train comes by, you're going to know it. And if you want an apartment not facing the tracks, you can get one ... if you pay more in rent. Next, the management claims to be very pet friendly, yet the pet owners have been told that if pet waste is not picked up you can be fined and if it occurs again your pet can be kicked out. Pick up after your pet, definitely, but things happen and a dog shouldn't be kicked out for this. The management has also sent notice that inspections were to be performed with less than 48 hours notice and changed times at the last minute with little to no notice. There have been issues with security- the police have been called multiple times and notices have been sent out about people being loud at night. Also the mail system is ridiculous, you may get a package but never know about it because the office never sends an alert email if it's left with them. The biggest issue I have though is the fees. There is a fee for EVERYTHING. Parking pass fee- $75. Lost that pass or got a new/rental car? $75 if you can't get your old pass back. Huge pet fee+a monthly pet rent. When you move out you MUST get your carpet professionally cleaned or there's a huge cleaning fee. There is also guest parking- for a few guests for the entire place. If those are filled, you're out of luck. This is despite the fact that there are plenty of empty spaces available every day and night. The pros: Rent isn't awful, though it went up ~$45 from last year. It's in a decent area with easy access to 28. While I have issues with the management, the staff themselves have been nothing but courteous and professional. Also, the maintenance staff is the best. They're timely and really nice people. All in all, if you're looking for an apartment, keep looking. There are cheaper/better run options.

I love living here. The leasing office is very friendly and really goes out of their way to make sure you have an easy transition into your new apartment. They're also very prompt to fixing any maintenance issues you may have. The girls in the office are very approachable with any concerns you may have. This community is also pet friendly which is fabulous! Great dog park that my hound loves.

This community is absolutely amazing! The apartments are spacious and the floor-plans are well thought out. The amenities are top notch! But what really sets this community apart from other luxury and high-class apartments in the area is the professionalism, friendliness and availability of the staff.

So far so good. Have only been in the community for a couple days. Generally the community is clean although some residents don't observe the pet poop rule. Additionally the neighborhood needs an additional trash disposal area. Not large enough for the amount of residents. Noise levels are low and pool community area is nice. Grounds keeping is also well kept.

The Elms staff have been fantastic to work with (thank you Linda and Lauren). I was moving from Cali and reached out to The Elms after narrowing down where to live. They were very flexible and understanding of my needs, helped with ALL of the paperwork, responded to all questions VERY quickly, and explained the entire leasing process thoroughly. The apartments themselves are wonderful, with incredible layouts, well completed construction (insulated against the environment and noise greatly), and fully furnished (to included fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer). The location is terrific; name a place/restaurant, store, etc and there it around the corner! The maintenance team is great too. Had a small request put in early finished in less than three hours (thanks Brian!). If this apartment complex is on your it!

We've been here for almost 1 year, very nice community, office staff is the best that we've experienced, prompt, courteous, and responsive. Maintenance is the same, no major maintenance issues, this is a new community. The community is pretty clean, family-friendly, and safe. The apartment layout is very comfortable and good use of space. The walls are thin like any other apartment complex, but the neighbors are generally quiet, we have not experienced any issues there, the train is a little loud (VRE is in walking distance), but you get used to it. Very satisfied residents!

Overall a very good experience. Noise complaints never stopped until neighbor came to me and was worried about her noise. The pool and gym are fabulous. I wish it had a squat rack. The paint on our apartment walls are so touchy that they get marked up VERY easily.

This apartment community looks great online, but turns out even better when touring it in person. My initial impression was very positive; the staff are very friendly and professional. My case was handled by the property manager, Lauren, who made us feel very welcome and ensured we had all of the information we needed. The subsequent tours went well and all of our questions were answered. We left feeling very impressed and very much wanting to move in despite having additional alternatives to visit. Once we decided to choose the Elms and continued to leasing process, the staff continued to be very supportive in guiding us through the process. Moving in went very smoothly and everything seemed to be in working order. A short time later, I encountered an emergency maintenance issue, but it was resolved within the hour once I reported it to the on-call staff. The response time was almost immediate. Overall, I am very impressed with the staff here and couldn't have expected to receive a better experience. From what I can tell, the staff do as much as they can to support the residents and make sure the community is top-notch.
