This is a great community in a great location. I have easy access to 28, 66, and Price William Parkway. Walking distance to commuter train. Lots of local eateries, gyms, bars, grocery stores and other shopping. The staff is always kinda and helpful. There is a great pool and gym facility on the grounds. The grounds are always kept clean and tidy. Only issue was my apartment is too close to the VRE station and the trains run pretty constantly, and it's very loud. Makes it inconvenient for telework/phone calls.

Although more expensive than other apartment options in Manassas, the Elms at Signal Hill offers new apartment homes in a safe neighborhood. Kitchens include granite counter tops and gas stoves which are hard to find in most apartments. Large walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms are found in both of the large bedrooms. Laundry rooms provide convenience and additional storage options.

The leasing consultants were very helpful. I moved from NY and they were very patient with me as I had so many questions and they were very accommodating. I was coming to VA to look at 2 different communities but the customer service I received over the phone and through email is what sold me on The Elms.

My situation is unique, in that my building is separate and significantly apart from the rest of the community. I prefer this. I'm on the ground floor, with my back porch overlooking a small, 1.5 acre field of (currently) unimproved land which borders the main road. This siting provides me a virtual backyard as well as a panoramic view of the community's Eastern exposure. I find this ideal and preferable. My experience at this community is completely informed by my building location. That established, I like the community very much. Management is friendly and responsive and especially quick to inform a resident the dire consequences one will suffer should a rent payment miss the due date. Even those residents who've previously paid promptly. Lesson learned. Best to keep a low profile. I do find it annoying to not have access to my HVAC or my water heater. I prefer to change my own filters and adjust my own water temperature. I was permitted to perform these simple tasks at my previous apartment home community. I would further appreciate having a grill installed on our buildings Eastern flank. The community grill near the pool is too far away and in too poor condition for my use. Also, my suggestion to install a hand sanitizer at the trash compactor has been ignored. My previous community took my advice, and trash compliance improved. On the balance, The Elms at Signal Hill Station is a three star community.

I love the price of the community. I also love the fact that it is pet friendly. With the VRE station nearby, I can barely hear it which is good. Cons: I hear my neighbors every move! If it's not the screaming kids, its the dog playing fetch above my head. They have 10 or less poop stations for 50 dogs and on the weekend they are completely empty. I don't mean to complain but it is so early on within the newly constructed apartments. I hope I can live out my lease.

At first I was super excited, new community but as time goes by, I've noticed things that I'm not happy about, like our dumpster its door is broken it gives such a bad image and impression for our guest, the pool tile is dirty the pool bathrooms are also dirty, the parking situation it's getting out of control, our building is not full and there are not parking spaces available if you come after 8pm. Lots of cars park here without a resident sticker. I don't know how bad it's going to get, so far I don't think we will be renewing our lease.

When looking for a place to live make sure you find a place that has good service and has a package closet to keep deliveres.The gym is a state of the art gym.The pool looks great but not open to swim in over winter.

Although the application process was a little grueling (website issues/confusion), the office staff was very kind and patient. Quality of apartments are fantastic and very beautiful. Superior gym and pool. Parking isn't an issue but permits are required. The grounds are clean. Only downside so far is construction but the noise level is bearable. Noise from neighboring apartments are non-existent. Overall a great quality for the rental price.

We have lived at the Elms at Signal Hill Station for almost a year now. EE have really enjoyed our apartment home and the community we are in. The staff is great, the location is awesome and they allow pets. We appreciate that they have a recycling program and are close to parks, shopping and dining.

Overly happy about the community all together. All the staff and maintenance are friendly and helpful. The grounds of the community are kept up well and very clean. I love that it's still close to shopping but tucked away so you don't have to hear the humming of traffic.

I wish there was someone on call on weekends and evenings since there appears to be many children and teenage situations that can not be addressed until Monday morning. Numerous emails from staff go out however parents don't seem to enforce it with their children.

Really nice and quite community. Brand new apartments. Good amenities (gym, pool, etc.) and courteous staff. Across the street from the train station and close to Walmart and many bars and restaurants.

I love everything about the community so far, the stuff, maintenance crew, etc. The stuff is very friendly and helpful if there any problems. I would definitely think about renewing my lease for the next year since it is a pleasure to live in the Elms at Signal Hill Station.

Overall, the experience has been good. The maintenance department is very quick to respond and I have had very reasons to contact the maintenance group. The grounds appear to be maintained regularly. The leasing office is good about responding, but can provide conflicting information depending on with whom you speak. If there is any room for improvement, it would be that the apartment breezeways are not cleaned. They have not been done since I arrived. I am unsure if this is the responsibility of the tenants or not, that information has never been conveyed. Another bit of insight would be to install some sort of soft closing mechanism on the front doors, as they tend to be very loud when allowed to close on their own.

I have been living here since July 2016 and I absolutely love my apartment. The only complaint is the noise from the neighbors above. The pool, gym and social events that the complex puts on are a fantastic way to get to know your neighbors. I would recommend the complex to anyone who is looking for a place that is located so conveniently to major access roads.

Everything has been great. The staff is very professional and really seem to care about the residents. There is on-site maintenance staff as well and emergency situations are handled promptly. Everyone is friendly and accomodating and I have not had any bad experiences so far. They also host a wine and cheese event every month, which is fun to attend. The apartments are completely new and beautiful! The only issue is if you don't have a car, you may have to walk a long way to throw away your trash since the dumpster is far away. But on the upside, this keeps the smell of trash far away too! All in all, a great place to live. We are very happy!

Of all the apartments I checked in the DMV and found I received the most for my money when living here. It has space for my dining table and suits my needs. I like that the apartment has free parking and is walking distance to the Virginia Railway Express.
