Great team and nice amenities. Overall, our experience has been pretty great. Our maintenance tickets were taken care of very quickly and left us worry free with some concerns. The staff treat us well and even remembered our names when we attended an event!

    When looking for apartments in the manassas area, location, space and overall cleanliness was our top priority. After touring these apartments, there was no apartment complex that could compete with it in the manassas area. The staff was great and quick to provide any service requested pertaining to the maintenance of the unit. If we weren't purchasing a home we would have stayed in our unit.

      The community, staff and neighbors are very friendly. It's been wonderful residing here. Close proximity to almost everything you might need and easy commute with little to no traffic for the most part. Definitely would recommend ????

        The Elms at Signal Hill Station is a great place to live! Office and maintenance staff are friendly, responsive, and helpful! The complex is clean, well-maintained, landscaped well, and safe. Everything in the apartment is in great working order! Close to shopping, VRE, and 66. We're glad we found The Elms!

            It is how it states, this is a Luxurious apartment complex, you pay more for it as well, however it's worth it when it comes to the neighborhood, your a walk away from VRE, which is great if you need to go to work and not want to use your personal vehicle.

                I moved here just a few months ago and I had the most wonderful moving day experience. The maintenance team are some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered and they even offered assistance during the move.                   The Elms at Signal Hill is a great apartment complex. The staff is very kind and personal.                         This a really safe space with courteous staff and neighbors. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants. There is a nearby park for exercise or leisure. There are lots of dog owners within this community.

                          It's not bad. I've had a few issues that the staff was very supportive of and it's a nice enough community that I don't get nervous about my kids playing outside or my wife coming home at night. Not a lot of visitor parking though.

                                  Over time, the convenience and luxury of living in a great apartment, in a super community, has won me over.                                       I've just moved in, the staff are super friendly and helpful. My apartment is clean and looks great. So far my only complaints are the occasionally heavy footsteps by the upstairs neighbor but it isn't too bad. Also the rent prices change daily and to get the cheapest price you have to move in that day, if you chose to move in a week later they charge you more.

                                          Here for almost 4 years now. Love this place. Leasing office is very helpful and maintenance staff is amazing and very friendly. Special thanks to maintenance supervisor Nahun ?? My son threw some papers and other small items in air conditioning vent and we had a weird noise while papers were flying around inside. It was totally our fault and I was so embarrassed but these guys were very helpful, still pleasant and understanding. Can't be thankful enough for their support.

                                                  Wish I Had Left When I Could

                                                  I had lived in one Elms apartment for four years and when my last lease was up, I decided to transfer to a smaller unit and stay in the neighborhood rather than go elsewhere. I was told that I would not have to pay any fees or deposit because it was a transfer. I totally regret the decision, starting with the actual lease transfer. The assistant manager kept getting the prorated rent amount wrong and it had to be corrected several times. Then, after I had moved all my stuff and paid my first month's rent, I was hit with a $500 deposit requirement anyway because supposedly the Elms no longer honors the deposit system I had been able to use when I first moved into the community in 2017. If I had been given this information up front, I would have taken my money elsewhere. The only reason I stayed to begin with was to save on a deposit. I totally regret trusting their word on that and given the rest of my story, I better get the full $500 back when I leave. The fun began in my "new" apartment immediately. The tenant prior to me did not clean anything and apparently management did not do an inspection to make sure the apartment was move-in ready before giving me the keys. If I'm wrong and they did inspect it, they have horribly low standards. I was fortunate to get new carpet, probably because the previous tenant trashed that. But everything else was disgusting -- moldy grout in the shower, a clogged bathroom sink with someone's nasty hair and mold in the plug, hair and mold in the medicine cabinet, a filthy kitchen sink drain and garbage disposal that was so gross I refused to touch it and put in a work request, food crumbs and stuck on gunk in all the cabinets and refrigerator. It took about five or six empty cleaning cycles in the washing machine to get to the point where the built up soap scum stopped leaving clumps of residue in the bottom of the washer tub. It still smells like whatever perfumed detergent the previous tenants used. They painted over *all* the HVAC vents without first cleaning out the dust and the vents are painted stuck. I can't close them, even the one in the ceiling above the stove that blows air on gas flames while I'm cooking (a really stupid design flaw). There's even someone's hair stuck in the paint job on a bathroom wall. I put in a long list of work orders after my first move-in weekend. Some of it was addressed adequately but most of it wasn't, especially the kitchen. Being very busy and unable to do much during the work week, it took me a whole month and finally a visit from a professional cleaning lady to get the kitchen and bathroom to a place where I felt comfortable unpacking my food, dishes, and personal items. I went to the leasing office at the end of the month to ask if I could get a credit on my upcoming rent for the amount I had to pay to have my apartment professionally cleaned just to move in. It was Labor Day weekend and the assistant manager was alone in the office, so he told me he would get back to me the next week -- but he never did. The October rent came due with no credit and not even an acknowledgment of my request. Another month has gone by. The dishwasher, which I have attempted to clean many many times, still emits a horrible musty odor. I have used commercial tablets, vinegar, baking soda, and bleach to try to get the smell out of the dishwasher. Every time I open and close the door to it, chunks of mold fall out from somewhere, I have no idea how or where it's coming from. I put in a work order this weekend; someone came today and cleaned the garbage disposal *again* and the water pump but it still smells and there are still chunks of mold in the bottom near the door hinge. I can't use the dishwasher because whatever is causing the smell leaves a nasty odor on the dishes. I have to rinse off the residue and dry them anyway. I've given up on it and look forward to a year ahead of washing all my dishes by hand. I'm really disappointed that I'm having so many problems in this apartment and wish I had either stayed where I was or left completely. . . . And it's true about the VRE train. If you rent any of the buildings along Peregrine Heights Road close to the front half of the complex, you will hear the horns all morning and all evening and very frequently in the middle of the night. I did not have this problem in my previous building, but it's awful where I'm at. Just ten more months to go . . .
