I think this is a great place to live. Staff is on the ball andd very helpful in all respects. Maintenance is the best. The people I have met that live hear are nice and they sais they enjoyed living here. The rent is reasonable compared to others I checked out before I moved here.

The apartments are nice and comfortable. They provide good and prompt service. The amenities are convenient and the complex is in a great area. This is easily the best apartment I have lived in. Overall a great place to live

Jaime the maintenance guy came the same day I put in the work order. He came in and replaced the kitchen sink that was leaking, fixed the toilet that was also leaking. The shower that was leaking is still unfortunately leaking!

Our experience has been very good since moving here in July 2022. The office/maintenance staff has been very responsive. The community is well maintained and quite. We would recommend living here.

I moved in November 2022 and as of this review, it was a very good decision. It's quiet, the staff is friendly and the maintenance team has responded quickly and has gotten it right the first time. I'm very happy.

Im not too happy with this place. Recently there with a mother mice ane 4 babies in my place. They were on my stove and everywhere. I called the maintenance line on a Sunday and no one came out. They try to say I didn't call the emergency line. Every since Ive been here its been one problem after another

I just moved in. Haven't been here long at all. But so far everything has been great. Nice community nice staff. I hope everything continues to go as well as it is. The whole process has been smooth and kee kee was very helpful so that was a plus

Great location and amenities. Pet friendly and a beautiful pool. Great sized unit, but there is a lack of lighting fixtures. Staff is a bit slow to address issues mentioned in move in. They were still working on our unit during move in and a fe things are yet to be completed.

Pretty good quality apartment I love the smart home technology. The only downsides are that the rental office rarely answers the phone and people never pick up their dog feces. We had a few issues we identified during the walk through that weren't addressed until halfway through our lease.

Tour guide Melinda was definitely a delight. Answered every question and took her time with me through the process. Gave me great advice on picking the perfect place to call home for the next couple of years. Even though I went with another property, she was such a delight and made the tour well worth it.

Totally overpriced for what you get. The pool is small and always full. The trash compactor would break down and mounds of trash 30ft by 30ft would pile up in the garbage disposal area for days and days. The company also forced "smart" home upgrades on their tenants without consent via a company called SmartRent which collect data on when you leave your apartment with their internet connected Hub in your home. Total invasion of privacy stay far away from Colonial Villages.

They are really good. No issues or complaints. Neighborhood is nice. Really close to everything. grounds are well kept. good location. Staff is nice. Schools are good. Really nice park right down the street. Again great location.

It was great, I really enjoyed the tour and think i could see myself living there! I wish there was a away that i didnt need to pay for cable and i could just pay for internet. I dont use cable. I did enjoy seeing the sauna, and workout room and the option for wooded views

It was a bit concerning initially when I came here due to the maintenance request timeliness. You never knew when you would get something repaired. However since the new guy Jamie came aboard it’s been somewhat like clockwork. It’s such a pleasure to have him here. He is neat and always shows excellent customer service. Please continue to keep him satisfied. Great addition to the complex.

My experience with Chase Gayton apartment that the staff is nice and quick to answer any questions you might have and they do a lot of things with the community where we live I just don't like the rent going up too much every year

It's been great until the last couple of years. I understand a slight rent increase, but despite land value dropping the rent has increased every year of my 8 years here. In 2014, I paid $1000 for rent. It is now up to $1595 a month. That is crazy.

It is ok. The rent increase the last two years has been very rough and the company doesn't seem to care. There has been a light out for over two years that I have been trying to get fixed and it has yet to be fixed.

My apartment wasn't initially ready due to contractors pushing the move-in date back, but this was quickly fixed by moving in another building. Although my apartment wasn't all the way move-in ready I do appreciate the staff and maintenance team for making sure I am taken care of every time I request a service. I do enjoy my location, the scenery, and my neighbors so far.

The worst experience. Does not believe in giving someone a second chance after going through covid and losing jobs but when you are finally back on your feet and make way more money to cover rent it doesn't matter. The application process is insane now.

I have not really enjoyed staying this apartment from day one. I can say that the manager tricked me to accept the apartment even though I complained that the have no doors at the entrance and at the back like others. This makes the apartment unsafe and when it rained. Rain water settle on my door stoop and soak my door mat. Another problem I have with apartment started since I lost my job, and I have to strggle to pay my rent. The management took me to court and since then I have legal fee of about $240 and 9% late fee added to my rent once it is 5 days after the due date. This is terrible and very unacceptable, not even now that the economy is bad. And when I requested for my dish washer and kitchen sink repair to be fix, it took over a month for the office to respond and you charge me late fee. Where is the consideration for the payment?

Like the apartment, not satisfied with service and return calls .there is a huge hole in the parking space that several tenants have complained about and when it's dark it is a hazard..Neighbor was badly injured and I broke my toe, but we asked that there at lease be an orange cone placed so no one else would be hurt.

If I let you know that I'm unhappy and willing to repay to get a better apartment, why not let me. It's not one good thing I can name about this apartment other than that it's a good neighborhood. Especially when I wasn't shown a tour PLUS only shown a video that wouldn't load and was skipping through the whole thing. I went to the office within 24 hours?only slept in it for 6 hours if that with the critters that should've been gone and all the other problems. This didn't feel like a new apartment it felt like someone moved out the same hour we moved in. To set up the wifi and cable with MAA I even had to cancel the previous peoples that moved out. This job was not done correctly.

I am reaching out in regards to my past due balance and the services I have not received and my safety that was compromised.I placed numerous orders in reference to my bathroom that has been incomplete and reported to maintenance numerous of times. I have reported my carpet needing to be repaired due to numerous water issues with the bathroom. The lack of follow ups and lack of integrity with the office staff has not met the values and the mission of the company. There were reports for snakes in my building and there were no follow ups. There have been over several complaints with the up keep of the building and the building not being managed properly to ensure it is following the laws within the Code of Virginia. I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied with how the residents are treated including myself with the lack of safety and care I have received. We have had rats, roaches, snakes and spiders within our building and have not received the proper care or communication to ensure it was being handled appropriately. This had been a horrible stay within the last several years. I have had safety issues with the property staff that led to law enforcement arriving and a horrible experience overall again with the up keep ,the follow ups and the lack of communication. I work hard everyday for a roof over my head and I should not have to live with filth ,worry about snakes roaches rats and my safety and well being. The office staff lack of care and communication has made my perception of MAA tainted and I would never recommend this property or any other MAA property to a family member or friend. I would like to share some photos of our building and the lack of care we receive.I would like also to show pictures of my unfinished bathroom. I would like a follow up regarding this email and the next steps in how these issues are going to be resolved. I would like written response back by email to ensure this message is taken serious and handled appropriately. I have more photos and videos that I can share as I hope that is taken seriously and as this experience has been horrible.

The new Maintenance team was fast and reliable compared to the old one! The guy was fast and very professional. I hope to continue to see the good fast work in the future. These apartments are old so it's great we finally have a good team.

Piss Poor Management
This is the worst experience I have ever had with moving. I deeply regret this decision. The chaos ensued during my application when one date was reflected for move in and I was contacted days later to be told that the unit would not be available for weeks later I understand things happen so I was willing to wait until my current lease expired only for no one to contact me before move in with instructions so I called them and they act befuddled about my move in date. I was furious but the issue was resolved or so I thought. My apartment was carelessly released as the shelves in my closet were not there, the microwave had some mystery liquid in it, the shower was not working, and the game of guess which breaker goes to where to cut on the lights not to mention the light literally hanging by a wire in my closet…..the cherry on top. Not all of keys to my apartment were ready including home and mailbox so now I had to wait a week for my key and travel to the PO to get it myself because somehow that makes sense. While the pressing issues were fixed because I can work a breaker box and the extreme issues were fixed by maintenance I still have no shelves in my closet and my rent remains the same for a less than complete apartment. It’s been a month of hopeful optimism that my start here wouldn’t be a omen but Here comes my 13th reason to kill my lease though they boast open parking my vehicle was towed. So there’s open parking but the vultures (tow trucks hired by MAAC) circle around the first of the month to check for flats or stickers mind my registration is current my stickers were lost in the move to this hellhole I was told it would not make a difference so on top of the rent I pay to live in this ---- show I am now paying to retrieve my vehicle. Speaking of vehicles please enjoy stepping over dog ---- everywhere as you walk to your car. Keep shopping this is far from Luxury living.
