I have lived her for about 5 years now and it still has been my favorite apartment complex if lived at. I've recommended this place to some of my coworkers and a few of my friends, some of which moved in to apartments here themselves.

It has been great living in Canticleer! My neighbors are kind and gave me great suggestions on places to eat and visit since I am new to Virginia! The office and maintenance staff are quick to respond to any questions or concerns I have about the property. I do wish that the property had a box for outgoing mail but there are a few in the area that I can access.

Best experience I’ve ever had in an apartment complex. Love the location. Love the people. Love the amenities. Great place to live, dog friendly tanning beds accessible. Great lawn service. 10/10 loving community.

The Courtyards of Chanticleer are amazing, well kept apartments with an office staff that cares about you and goes above and beyond. Within my first few days, I had trouble loading a laundry card, and when I asked Jocelyn for help, she immediately got up, went to the machine, and helped me figure it out.

The Courtyards of Chanticleer is a great place to live. The staff is always helpful and super friendly. The community is quiet and there are plenty of kids for my son to play with. I've been here 3 years and don't plan to go anywhere until I buy my own home.

I have had an excellent experience here at Chanticleer so far. I love the townhome options and how convenient the location is to everything. This is such a family friendly neighborhood, I would highly recommend!!

Rent prices increased without any improvements to the community Constant issues with water shutoffs Parking lot flooding No apartment hallway cleaning Tubs and riel not replaced/repairs properly Contractors given access to property without resident permission

Melissa at the office is amazing! The Maintenance staff will look at and fix any request within 24hrs! I absolutely love living at The Courtyards of Chanticleer. You cannot beat the location! They allow dogs of any size and the beach is only 10 minutes away!

Chanticleer feels tucked away in Virginia Beach with it's own private grounds, set back from the busy highways and streets, yet still close to the beach. It's a laid back, pet friendly community, with a wonderful, and super helpful staff that pays great attention to detail.

This community is a few minor problems. But other than that it is a great space to live in. Maintenance is always on time and fix the problems that needs to be fixed. They help resolve some problems that needs to be gandered.

Very clean and good place to live. Timely maintenance completion. Everyone at the community is very polite especially the staff including all the maintenance employees. Im very pleased with everything here and will continue to live here for a long time.

This is a nice place to live its really close to a middle school which I like and there are all kinds of shops around the area and the ocean front is literally two minutes always from here plus the convention center, Aquarium, movie theaters, and museum.

I absolutely have loved living here the past 3 and a half years! Ive always felt right at home and the staff feel like family :) They always get anything I need completed ASAP! They are kind, patient, and understanding too. I love living here and would recommend it to anyone living in Virginia Beach! :)

This is a good place to live. Clean and quiet with a very attentive staff/maintenance. Also, the complex (unit) is bug-free which is huge! You don't have to listen (no upstairs/next door noise) to the neighbors because you won't hear them which again is huge for those who hate loud music (coming from someones' unit) and noisy neighbors. You won't get that environment here. Again a huge plus!

Ill start off with this, is a perfect first apartment. Throughout my stay here Ive loved it. Its the perfect little apartment for my gf and our cat. Its just that though, it starts to feel a bit smaller the longer Im here. The kitchen is mainly for one person to cook comfortably. Appliances are in great shape though. The airflow from the AC in the living room to the bedroom is poor. I did have to buy a fan for the bedroom because it wouldnt cool down to the temperature the thermostat said in the living room. I wish the second floor could have a balcony, as the first floor had a patio. Just small things that I realized I wanted throughout my stay. The management and maintenance are great. Theyre always quick about responding to and resolving issues.

the staff in the office are friendly. the townhouses are close to shopping, the oceanfront and some restaurants. I wish the parking situation was better. The are some selfish renters here, who take the assigned spot and all of the empty spots.

Its been lovely its a quiet neighborhood and the the community is relaxed its nothing like living in the city Im use too the gym is so relaxing and the pools too Joyce who was are agent was very friendly and cool to speak too and was able to help us move in sooner then our initial date

I always have a quick response when it comes to maintenance. The manager has helped me alot in reference to my rent during hardship due to COVID-19. The emails and texts regarding what's going on in the community are always on point and helpful.

I don't like having to fill out a survey every time something breaks. I think you should scrap the surveys and give the staff a false with the saved money. I like it here very much. I see you increased the frequency of getting the dog poop buckets emptied. I appreciate that. I don't like getting an automatic increase in rent every year without doing improvements to my unit.

The community and staff at The Courtyards of Chanticleer are so friendly and welcoming. This location is quiet and peaceful, and I absolutely adore how dog-friendly the neighborhood is. The response times for service requests are quick and any questions or concerns you have for the staff is met with kindness, professionalism and promptness. I couldnt ask for a better living environment.

Lack of follow up and communication on maintenance issues are a problem!!! Location is great. Overall a decent place to live if you have no maintenance issues. Maintenance staff not all that knowledgeable sometimes!!!

Its clean, decent with a reasonable price. The staff are very responsive, friendly at the same time professional. We love the floor plan and amenities of the apartment. Also, we love the fact that the location is near supermarket and other stores.

My experience since we moved here in 2019 has been great overall. I do not have any complaints. The staff here has been great and professional from the office to the maintenance guys. The people in the community are very friendly as well.

The office staff is very professional. The complex is quiet and safe. It is convenient to restaurants, stores, and gas stations. The grounds are always neat and well maintained. The maintainance staff is very professional and knowledgeable.
