Never Choose this appartment...The apprtment staffs are hurrible
Never move to this apparment.Once you movein and signed the leases the staff behaviour changes to wards bad like any thing. They don't care for the customer and even lot's of time they have told different customers like if you want you can leave this apparmtent but you have to pay all the money as per the lease.

Terrible Staff
Unless you want problems, I suggest you stay away from Grand Rivage. One of the maintenance staff actually installed a video camera in their front window to record a neighbors actions and guess what, the manager knows about it. It is still up. Funny how they judge the residents but the staff members get away with everything. Have they conducted background checks on their staff? I doubt it.

Poor construction...damages claimed on tenant
Poor construction materails are used in the apartment because of which damages occur and the tenant is expected to pay for the damage. For example particle board with vinyl lamination is used for kitchen sink and damage resulting due to water ingress is claimed on the tenant. Poor window blinds that breakdown on operating are also a common problem here. Windows never shut tight, and causes heating and cooling problems. Pest control is only on reporting, which again is no good. Instances of drugs trafficking, car vandalism and theft have been reported to the authorities. No gated security, car wash equipment is not maintained, spa does not work every now and then, tennis court is misused for other purposes. The rent is pretty high because of only one thing that is the W/D in unit, which would be otherwise $30 max in other communities.
NO WAY EVER AGAIN
PROBLEMS PROBLEMS PROBLEMS, SEVERE SKIN RASH FROM HOT TUB, COST ME OVER 400.00 TO GET RID OF THE RASH. KIDS ALLOWED AT THE POOL FROM 5 UP WITH NO SUPERVISION, THROWING PAILS OF WATER ON OTHER GUESTS, JUMPING FENCES, SLIPPING AND FALLING ALL OVER THE PLACE. KIDS STANDING IN THE DRIVEWAY DARING YOU TO MOVE FORWARD IN YOUR CAR. MANAGMENT STAFF NEVER OFFERED ONE OUNCE OF SUPPORT. HUGE DEPOSITS AND WHEN WE LEFT THEY KEPT IT ALL AND BILLED US 100.00 PER BATHROOM FOR CLEANING. WHEN I MOVED IN I HAD TO STEAM CLEAN THE FILTHY CARPETS, WITH NO RECOVERY FROM MANAGEMENT. FL LAW SAYS THEY MUST SPRAY FOR BUGS MONTHLY, NOT ONE TIME IN 7 MONTHS DID THEY SPRAY THE APARTMENT. BEAUTIFUL GRAND ENTRACE LACKS SUBSTANCE IN MANY WAYS.

Money Driven!!
I went into the Grand Rivage about a month ago to view an apartment, which I fell in love with. It was very spacious and had a washer and dryer in the apartment for $815. The leasing consultant also told me they were having a special. If you rent today you would get half off of 1st month rent. My fiancee and I were so excited that we finally found a place that could accomidate all of our needs. We filled out the application and paid $120 for the application fee and also wrote a check for $200 because they require a security deposit even before they run your credit to see if you get approved which I think makes no sence. Anyways so we filled out the application and I explained to the leasing consultant the situtaion between my fiancee and my's creidt. I'm the one who has the good credit but by my self I did not meet the criteria (must make 3 times the amount of the rent)to only put myslef on the lease and my fiancee has the bad credit but he is the one who makes all the money. She said don't worry about it, it shouldnt matter as long as you have the good credit and 2 years of rental history, which we did. 3o mins later she calls us to inform us that my financee had gotten denied because of his credit and unpaid medical bills. I was pissed!! First of all they can not take medical bills to account and secondly I told the girl the situation we had before even filling out the dang application. I had told her I did not want to waste $120 dollars on "application fees" if we were not going to get approved. All she did was say sorry have a great day and hung up on me. I am so pissed. 2 days later I call back after I had cooled down to see if there was anything else we could work out example: bigger deposit or a cosigner. She said no sorry you already submitted your appliation with your fiancee there is nothing else I can do. She was understanding about the whole thing but I was extremtly upset at the fact that i had just wasted $120 on bascilly nothing. Do not rent there they just want your money!!!

The NOT So Grand Rivage!
I dont know where to begin.. but how about from the front gates.. What front gates?? I have never ever ever seen them work. Open for anyone to come in and out as they please. Next would be the jacuzzi.. tell me who thinks it is good to go in after someone puts bubble bath and has sex randomly as they please, lets not forget that they tend to leave fast food wrappers and empty glass beer bottles scattered about. It is disgusting! There is only one pool and it is not that big so is almost always over crowded. Did I mention that there is only one way in and out of the complex besides the open space that a 250 pound person could squeeze threw in the back gates? The office personel are rude and I agree with everything the person's review before me said. They are very nosey and they are quick to judge you because they happen to live in the complex themselves. They see who comes and goes and is quick to judge. Then the notices start. They are truley relentless.. they lease to grown adults and then they start to act like you cant read or comprehend what a notice says. Least to say the people who live here and not work here are nice. Over all I would not recommend this place.. It is good if you like quantity not quality. I hear all of this is due to new ownership.. The new owners SUCK!

If you want your rims stolen and your car broken into, move here!
I moved into The Grand Rivage in July 2005 and have lived there so far for six months and when my lease expires, I will hit the door running.
One morning in September 2005 I went outside to leave for work and saw my neighbors vehicle without rims and tires. It was sitting on concrete blocks. My immediate neighbor had her car broken into by means of prying. It appeared that somebody had literally pryed her door frame away from the frame of the car and attempted to steal her vehicle. Her console around the wiring on the steering wheel was in her passenger's seat as if the car had attempted to be hot wired.
It might help if the parking lot lights were on at night and not during the day.
In January 2006 I noticed another vehicle a short distance away that was also missing rims and tires. The vehicle was also, exactly like the first, sitting on concrete blocks. The two were the exact same set up.
I called our leasing office and reported all three events to them. They hardly seemed surprised. I took pictures and kept my own notes on the events. I live on a side of the apartment complex that has a kid park and lots of grass, which seems to attract the animal owners, much like myself. Because of my location there is a lot of dog debris that has been left for pickup. The leasing office left five notes on my door in one week (a generic print out note that hangs on a door knob with a pictue of a dog at the bottom and a list of reasons why it is considerate to pick up after your pet.) and they left three the next week. Maybe theythought I was four years old and missed the first note they left for me. But needless to say two weeks and eight notes later I had enough. I called the leasing office and expressed my anger towards them for being so repetitive. I told them that the endless pursuit thay had to want to come to my door every other day was getting tiresome. I could list at least six other immediate neighbors who had animals also. So to assume that all the dog debris being left outside was from my shih tzu's was ignorant. I was informed that the leasing office does not keep trackof those notice's and that the maintance team leaves them on doors. If I was a leasing manager I would want to keep track of how many notices I have to give to one tenant. Does that mean that a maintance member can leave anything on my door and the leasing office would never know? But make sure you don't underpay your garage by three dollars because they will hound you like hungry wolves.
I called our leasing office many times about the gates to their community being wide open every minute of the day. (I have lived there for six months and have never had to use my gate pass!) I was told the gates were struck by lightning and would be repaired shortly. Now the story is that the owners decided not to fix them. So this community is not a gated community, as they have advertised for so long after the gates were broken.
Than the maintance guy and his twelve member family become my neighbors! (Might as well be a twelve member family, because a round up of elephants couldn't make as much noise as they do!) So from one argument to the next we have decided to let our lease expire and have talked about breaking our lease early, just to move out. (If a maintance employee can tell you how to live your life and what can and can not be on your patio at 10:00pm on a Friday night and again at 10:00am on a Sunday morning, than you wouldn't want him as your neighbor either!) My immediate neighbors moved out the first chance they had and I can't say that I blame them!
The team that "upkeeps" the landscaping cut down some branches on a tree close to my garage about two weeks ago and the branches are still laying in the parking lot. The jacuzzi has been broken more times than I can count.
I would never recommend these apartments and advise that people who choose to live their lives comfortable do so elsewhere because that kind of lifestyle will not happen here. If you do however, lease with The Grand Rivage make sure you get a garage and a gun like I did.
My husband and I lived here for 6 months, while we were having a home built. For being in an apartment (going feom a home to apartment), our experience was very nice. I thought it was a very nice place to live. We only needed maintence 1 time, and they were there on the spot and fixed immediately! At times, parking was not the best, but that is always expected in an apartmentI would highly recommend this apartment!

Liars and Theifs
I lived here for 13 months and had all of my forks stolen (pretty weird huh), gold chain, $10 on my cofee table all stolen. I know that it was the maintenance workers who did it and the office personel did absolutly nothing about the situation. I never had visitors and when things got stolen it happened to be when I needed something fixed in the apt. parking really sucks at night.
