So far loving it! The whole process from beginning to end was smooth and pretty fast. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. You have a lot of stores and restaurants near by. I love my balcony view of the farmland. They accept pets which is awesome. Definitely happy with the Altman Community.

100% Satisfied. However, Cars fly through the apartments at speeds greater than 20mph. I highly advise posting speed limits of 10mph and adding two speed bumps per apartment building. The cost can easily be substantiated and justified by not being sued. The HOA fees paid will easily pay the cost versus the greater cost of a lawsuit.

Overall, good, but the neighbors can be hit or miss: ours throw trash onto our patio/sidewalk area, too many people park by the field/gazebo even if they don't live in this apartment, making parking at night frustrating. The maintenance staff is quick to respond to maintenance requests.

Fraud!!! Place sucks. Nobody stays that long because they realize it sucks and move the heck out. Don't believe the good reviews. There is noise, dogs barking, people dumping garbage, rodents, roaches, clueless maintenance morons that fix things with spit. Waste you money at your own risk!

Stay away - far away from this place. Just moved out after living there for a year. Rented a 3 bedroom to serve as a temporary home since I sold my house and was waiting for a new house to be built. Well, here are the points from start to finish.... 1. Application process is a mess. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. 2. Parking is a joke - I had a garage and driveway but using the garage for anything larger than a sub-compact is impossible. Placing two cars in the driveway is ridiculous as well since the parking spots are so close, that you practically need to exit from your sunroof, especially the way people park. Be prepared for door dings. See photo. 3. Street parking - forget it. Not enough. Don't think about having guests. 4. Insects - ants galore. They have a pest control guy that only comes on Wednesday for the entire complex. So, be prepared to take the day off waiting for him unless you want him to enter your apartment when you are not home and apply pesticide on your bed, furniture or anywhere he pleases. Very ineffective. He just comes in and shoots gel all over like its harmless water. Still get swarms of ants coming thru the windows and roaches in the garage. 5. Mold issues. Had a water leak from a window frame. Instead of removing the sheetrock and addressing the water and mold inside the wall, all maintenance did was dry the carpet and paint the water damaged sheetrock and baseboard. See photo. Got charged for the mold damage under carpet on move out to add insult to injury. More on that later. 6. Pit bull dogs in the community. I have a small sweet old dog and when I moved in, I had to pay a $500 non refundable fee to have my dog in addition to $10.00 per month. They also "interviewed" my dog to make sure she was not dangerous. Fast forward to April of 2019, I was walking my dog very early in the morning and was attacked by a loose pit bull and was injured. Altis shares the same streets as townhomes and many residents in those homes possess pit bulls. In my case, one got loose from a back yard. This particular dog was found to be used in fights and had rabies because of that. See photo of dog taken by police. Management at Altis took no responsibility for this incident. Now that I have moved out, I will be suing for injuries to my leg. 7. Pit bull dog in an Altis apartment. See photo of pit bull on balcony. We have a restricted breed in an apartment. When I questioned this, I was told it was a therapy dog and according to HUD regulations, they must allow it. In essence, if you would like to move in with a restricted breed or any breed and avoid the $500 non-refundable fee and $10 per month, just register your dog as a therapy dog for a fraction of that cost and contact HUD. 8. Altis' practice of not returning security deposits. I left my apartment in perfect condition. Had all the rugs professionally cleaned as well as the remainder of the apartment. The master bedroom rug did not come out as clean as the other two bedrooms. Stanley Steamer said that the carpet they use is of terrible quality which is why it was so difficult to get cleaned. I guess it might be fair for them to charge me to replace the carpet in that one room. But no, I am told the carpet company must replace all the carpets at my expense as it is not profitable for them to just replace the carpet in one room. I kept in touch with others who recently moved from Altis and interestingly enough, their security deposits were not returned as well for similar ridiculous reasons. Some of the reviews speak to the same issue. Especially the Google reviews. 9. Staff - Rude and clueless. They all live in the apartments. Never answer the phone and if you dare to walk in the office to speak with anyone, you better have an appointment. Delusions of grandeur. Particularly the little Leonardo. In conclusion, for $2400 a month, there has to be better choices in the area. Do your homework. Read the reviews. Walk the community and randomly approach residents and ask them for their opinions. Can't hurt - it's not illegal as it is public streets and not gated.

Very nice community. Very family-oriented, clean and functional amenities. Leasing office is diligent most of the time. The apartments are well distributed, the kitchen has a granite countertop, new wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. Dog-friendly, so people who don't like dogs, please think about it twice before moving here and complain about a dog barking for two seconds.
