I moved into this apartment in 2013 when the prices of this apartment price was value for money. Its a 70s apartment and got its outer look painted in 2014 but interiors are still very old. Notice is pretty loud especially when you end up with kids above your floor. Price rise is 13% to 15% each year which makes me think why pay so much when I can get upgraded kitchen and better house for the same price. My wife found a thief once and on the other occasion caught him steal my neighbors package. Breakins are often. One thing I still like is the garden and maintainance.

I do not recommend living here....there are much better places, at much better prices! Our apartment was old and in need of repair...there was a spot on the ceiling that leaked when it rained and we had problems with no hot water in one of our bathrooms. And then, when we moved out, they demanded a huge move-out fee! The outside grounds are well maintained (besides the dumpster problems), but that's about it.

I think the Posts are losing their appeal. The one at Post Crossing is very old and dealing with the problems and their maintenance issues is a total pain. Every weekend the garbage gets overfilled and even though employees live on the property they don't do anything about it. Too much money for rent for the inconveniences.

I happened to stay in this aprtment for an year. The apartment is very old. You could hear loud noise when somebody walks on the apartment above you. Not only the heavy walking sound, you will listen squeaking sound of the woods too. Its really too loud, no way anybody can ignore those. The carpets are not clean, they replace the carpet every 5 years. Looks like the quality of carpet they use is cheap. Corridors are never cleaned. You complain to management, they never listen. Only when you complain online, they will act. (Looks like it goes to the central office when you complain online). The manager Meg is very arrogant, she will appear if she is doing favor giving the apartment on rent. The location is nice and the rates are okay, but if the aparment itself is not good, its useless. I have been staying in post properties for almost 4 years. This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. And top of that, the management is horrible.

This property is horrible; to start with they asking rent prices are the same as a almost new property yet this property is 20yrs old. I gave it a chance and toured it only to see that in some units and even the sample one they still have wallpaper. This is not the 70's or 80's. The first thing I smelled on the tour was the trash and how it looked like a flea market with furniture everywhere outside of the dumpster. Be warned their are a lot of Indian residents at this property, and a lot of young children which I have not problem with that, but I do with the fact that the entire property wreaked of curry and the kids were running around the parking lot with no parents around. I almost say one get hit by a passing care. For the money and peace of mind I would rather pay a little more for much nicer and new property.

I have happily lived here for 2 years and only recently moved out because I purchased a home. The staff is very professional and dedicated to serving the residents. I never had any difficulties in obtaining maintenance services when required and needed only minor fixes. The property is quiet and well maintained and I never had any trouble with any of the residents. I would still be living there if I hadn't purchased a home.

1.The maintenance is poor. 2.The garbage area is filthy so everybody is facing problems with rats in the apartments and the maintenance people couldn't fix the problem. 3.Its not worth to live in this apartments spending lots of money.

Not worth living for the rent you pay - Go look for other alternative
No matter how the market is, they just increase the rent for every renewal, so if you have long term plans to live here, you better look for other alternatives. The management gets rude at times. They are polite and nice while signing the lease.

Okay, but don't expect any breaks on pricing
The place was safe, and we enjoyed it mainly because we had a nice unit--location, garage, etc. The place is aging, and some of the stuff when we moved in was in need of fixing, which they got around to doing. They will charge you $3 a month for the garbage compactor which is often overflowing. The main thing that annoyed me was the charge for water. Water usage is supposed to be metered for each apt, but I seriously doubt that readings were done very often. My water bill was never less than about $32 for the month and could get to about $38 some months. We are not big water users either. And some months when I was expecting the bill to be on the low side (out of town for days, etc), it would be as high as ever. I believe they charged what they wanted to, and it was excessive in my opinion. They also hit us with about $375 in fees when we moved in with only $100 refundable, which wasn't very nice. We were top notch renters, and our reward was them attempting to jack our rent up by $125/mo for signing a new year's lease. We moved out. But the management was okay to pretty good, and the main maintenance guy was a nice fellow who usually tried to please. Bottom line is you could probably do a lot worse with an apartment, but I can't give them top marks overall for the stated reasons.

Not worth it - especially bad if you have pets
They want to come in to the apartment for some little thing almost every month. The real problem is they send vague letters about when they are coming. The last one said they would be coming any day that week. I don't mind locking my pet in the bedroom one day, but to do it every day for a week is a lot. I don't understand why they can't be more specific and why they can't combine some of these. I agree with previous posters that more people are living in these apartments than are supposed to. Having a horse walking around upstairs would be quieter than whatever my neighbors are doing. There are a lot of kids here. They tend to take over the parking lots playing/riding bikes so if hearing kids yelling all day bothers you look elsewhere. Property is older and not worth what I am paying for it. Only selling point is the location.

I live here past 1 year. It was nice when moved people at front office very nice and polite. Looks like recently people at front office change. I am getting call asking renter policy in 10mins !!! This guy on phone was rude and threating me. I asked him how come I am living without Renter policy. He didn't answer. Other day, I mentioned about Tennis court facility was used non-tennis activities. They seems to be don't care by given answer I got deal with people at Tennis court not to bring front office. Post Crossing, My Favorite Apartment Yet
From my college years and moving quite a bit after, I've lived in plenty of apartments and rental homes. So far, Post Crossing has been one of the best yet. We were recommended to this community by a friend, and so far, we've loved it. We currently rent a carriage home, and though they are expensive, I think you'll find they're worth it. A carriage home feels more like a town home than an apartment, and has its own garage. The staff here has always been extremely helpful and courteous. When I locked myself out of the apartment during business hours, not only did they let me in my apartment, they made me a brand new key at the office, and drove me back on their golf cart. They are always friendly and helpful and ready to answer questions. The fixtures in the apartment are outdated, and do need some upgrading. I understand where people are coming from about drafts...we live in an end unit and have plenty of windows, and it does affect our electric bill. A few well placed energy saving curtains completely fixed though, and it's been fine since. We do hear our neighbors occasionally, but no more so than any other apartment I've lived in. Overall, I love this community. My neighbors are friendly and wonderful, the staff is great, the grounds are beautiful, and I love being able to use the fitness center and pool. I'm willing to compromise a few outdated fixtures to have a place where I'm happy and enjoy where I live, rather than the "luxury" apartments I used to rent where the staff was rude and my neighbors unfriendly. If you're looking for a great community, Post Crossing is it.

Not worth the money
The apartments need updating on the inside, not just a coat of paint to the outside like they applied last year. The appliances are all old and the fixtures are a miss mash of what they had when they repaired it. The windows and doors are incredibly drafty I've stuffed old t-shirts around mine to help keep out the cold and heat. It's not a terrible place, but you can find better for less.

not really worth it
i have lived here for a couple of years, i do plan to find something better... 1.apartment my apartment has old construction and basic amenities, but i really enjoyed it initially. but the neighbors changed. the next set of neighbors were actually kinda awful. i can hear them stomping around in their apartment and i live on the top floor. they slam their doors on a regular basis, which shake my apartment. i reported this to management, they even sent out a letter, but nothing changed. the property seemed to have a mixed diversity when I moved in, but now it is mostly indian. i don't believe in discriminating, but the ethnic smelling food, can be quite overwhelming at times. I have to open my windows and run fans and vents to keep the smell out of my clothes and furniture. it is true that the parking lot is often filled with indian children, riding bikes, etc. i have to drive really slow even when the parents are right there. 2.staff i actually really like the staff, they have always been very courteous. 3.parking parking is not bad, but if you work/get home really late it can be difficult to find a spot near your building. overall, it is just not worth it for $900-$1000/month.

Going Downhill
My husband and I lived at Post Crossing for about 3 years. We started in a one-bedroom and then moved to a two-bedroom. Both were top-floor units. We got ripped off on the rate at first but were able to move into the 2 bed for not much more once the economy dived. We did have some problems with noise but not as bad as the people below us, I'm sure. The main problem here is that the windows are paper-thin. If someone was out on their balcony below us, or even in the street, every word of the conversation can be heard. The walls adjoining units are also very thin. We were fortunate to only have one wall of the unit that was shared, and we definitely heard loud bass through it on a regular basis. It is true that the trash overflows and smells terrible every week. We did not feel unsafe here. It is also true that the complex has become known as a place for Indian families. I work with ------- and don't have anything against them personally. The problem we had with them was that all the Indian children of the complex would play loudly outside every night from about 5-pm until 10pm and all weekend. You could barely drive through the complex without potentially running over a child. The children were extremely noisy outside and left their bikes all over the walkways and hallways. I would not have had a problem with it if the hours of play had been more reasonable, but after 10pm for elementary school age children is a little ridiculous. We bought a townhome and moved, and even though that has had it's own share of problems it was still better than Post.

Faded glory
garbage accumulates in hallways and overflows dumpster, permeating the air with its pungent odor. the place is steadily declining, becoming a ------ and foreign enclave. Apartments are shabby and renovation is desperately needed. There are more modern apartments and better values in Dunwoody. 2 months notice is more than other apartments require. Most apartments are wooden structures so noise is dependent on the neighbors, call it luck of the draw. rule of thumb: if you are sensitive to noise live on the top floor, management will not intervene. This is true of all apartments. Washer and drier are extra. Laundry room is adequate but be prepared to have your cloths removed from machine. Some residents leave cloths in machines for hours. wifi in public areas would be nice. most places offer wifi; Post does not. The fortunes of hotels, neighborhoods and apartments rise and fall. Find a place on the upswing and avoid Post Crossing. Of course if you like living in a dump with messy neighbors and foreign workers taking American jobs then Post Crossing is for you. I'm moving on.

BS Management and the NOISE is ridiculous!
If you like hearing your neighbor use the bathroom in the morning, don't mind your car broken into or stolen, have your apt ran sacked, or if don't mind management ignoring every complaint, this is the place for you! We are leaving b/c of all the noise and management doing NOTHING about. I was threatened by my neighbor and they acted as if I was at fault. Unbelievable. The primary residences here are Indian, so if you like curry, you will love the smell here too! Don't say I didn't warn you.

What place is perfect unless you pay big money!
I have lived in the apartment complex since March 2009. In 2006 I lived at their sister complex post dunwoody which they sold last year with very little issues. I understand there are several issues that might need to be addressed. But my experience has been quite satisfactory. Yes there were some break-ins in the area in general. Crime is always an issue in most apartments I lived in but thankfully they are not the violent kind. The neighborhood is great. The laundry room can be busy and empty just pick a time like everything else when you feel that there is going to less usage. The fitness center does need a new t.v and I feel that the cleaning staff should do a better job of looking out for the out of order signs in the laundry room. I have had several maintenance issues that I reported online and were done the next day without issue. I do agree sometimes you can hear people come and go and some residents are disrespectful of each other. Tell me one place where you don't find that? I lived in NYC paid $1500.00 rent and I listened to gunshots outside my door hence lets be realistic. The complex is being repainted and the management is taking an effort to modernize it but honestly it's a pretty decent place. I am a snooty and picky person so if I can say that then you know it's decent. The manager has addressed two issues for me with the greatest of respect. Remember she is still corporate and has a job to do she does not make the final rules. The staff is young and are learning and need to to a slightly better job on personality. I enjoy coming home with an easy commute to everywhere all around. As far as parking is concerned there is ample space you might have to walk a little bit but I have never seen it that crowded and full. If you want a parking space with your name on it and reserved then go ahead and find a complex and pay the premium for it. I am happy where I am there are alot of good and decent people in this complex including myself and I enjoy making this place my home. I am not management or a paid rep. I believe that we in life forget the positives and just look at the negatives. There are alot of people who have issues that have nothing to do with living in this complext.

Not worth it....
We are breaking out lease after almost 2 years this month. Yes, it's in the middle of everything, Yes, you can walk anywhere you want... but honestly its not worth it. The staff is rude and just plain stupid, they are not helpful at all. The walls are very thin and I mean THIN! we could hear out next door apt people fighting, yelling, their loud music and everything in between. If the next door people slam their front door, everything rattled in our apt! Talking to staff didnt do any good! There have been 4 break-ins so far, and no follow up communications from front office besides "oh look out for strangers!" We had to stay here b/c of personal reasons but honestly now that we do have a choice we are out of here. Every one has different experiences and ours wasn't that great.

Nice place
I spent my first year in GA here. This was the best place I found when I was searching for apartments. The pros: Very clean and safe environment. There were about 2 incidents with break-ins but that's not bad at all. The maintenance staff is great. They respond quickly and effectively. There was never a bug problem. I had a couple bugs but I kept my doors open a lot so they sometimes wondered in. The area is pretty quiet but I lived near the back of Walmart so I heard delivery trucks in the mornings. The complex is conveniently located near shopping areas and Marta so this is great if you don't want to do too much or any driving. The gym is great and usually empty. The cons: The office staff sucks! They are some of the most unprofessional, rude people I've met in my life, so far. They aren't very helpful but the property is so nice that you can pretty much avoid them most of the time. The on-site laundry facilities are always full and there were always at least 2 machines out of service. The pool is nice but it's small and usually crowded. The walls are like paper. You can hear everything going on next door. Parking gets pretty annoying at times, especially on the weekends. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. I moved only because I found a larger place for a cheaper price.

Moved out early
I lived at this complex for 1 and 1/2 years before I had enough. We had constant air conditioner problems. The temperature in our basement apartment was always 78 degrees in the summer. The maintenance people would come out, look at the A/C unit for a while, and then come to the door and say it was fixed. Right before we moved out they installed a "new" A/C unit. The "new" unit wasn't any better. The carpet was trashed when we first moved in. You can hear your neighbors very clearly. Susan seems very nice at first, but when you actually want something done she turns into a b*tch. She actually berated my wife for calling in a work order. The other leasing agents couldn't have been much older than 20 and acted like it. We broke our lease and paid the penalties in order the get the heck out. Two weeks after we moved out we received a letter stating that they wanted almost $900 in damages from us for the carpet. Needless to say, this was passed on to my lawyer. Basically, find somewhere else. You'll get the same quality here as you will at the Gables next door, and the Gables are cheaper!! Walton Ashwood is a good complex with a good staff, but a little more pricey.

Great everything
The staff is excellent and the location is the best in the world. You can literally walk to everything (post office, walmart, restaurants, gym, movie theater) all within a mile or so distance. The pool is great in the summer and the gym is decent. The apartments have great layouts with pleasant neighbors. Matinance is great, about 24 hours, and they are very nice. I would definately recommend this to anyone. Let me again stress how nice the staff is. If you are courteous to them they will greatly return being courteous to you. They also have great events for the tennants at local restaurants.

great location and staff, can't beat it
I lived in post crossing for 2 years (2006-2008), and had a great experience. I relocated out of state for a job. I lived in building 1100...which is the best! It's very quiet and people are respectful. The area cannot be beat....the perimeter mall, target, walmart and a ton of other amenities in walking distance. Oh, and you are in the dunwoody area which has walking paths and other neat features. I built a solid rapport with the management team, and did not have any problems. I found them to be professional and willing to address any problem I had. I saw the comments about Susan and was shocked. She was always kind and helpful. The maintainance staff was solid. They will respond to your request within 24hrs. The grounds are kept up, as are the common areas. The gym facility is a little dated. My appliances and accommodations were adequate. Parking is never a problem. You will be comfortable coming and going from your apartments all hours of the night/morning. I liked my neighbors...mostly professionals. Overall you cannot beat the price, location, and accommodations. Try it out.

Big Thumbs Down!!!!!!
I lived in Post Crossing for about 3 years. Most of the reviews that have been posted here are consistent with my experiences while living there. The property is in a fairly good location but is dated as compared to a number of newer complexes in the area that have been constructed in the last two years. The staff at Post Crossing is painfully aware of this but use the competition to your advantage when discussing your monthly rate. It is true - the staff is very rude, especially the General Manager of the property, -----. I tolerated it because I didn't have to interact with them too often but many of my neighbors had some pretty horrific experiences. If you choose to live there, document every transaction with them! They have been known to make mistakes and they are quick to fine you without checking facts. This is not a property that will provide you with a courtesy alert. And yes - as posted in the other reviews, when the staff at Post Crossing makes an error, they rarely apologize. There is a post concerning the annual increase in rent - it's true. Mine went up about $100 per month all three years that I lived there. Each year, Post Crossing will send you a letter with rate increases. As an incentive to resign your lease, they will provide you with a range of rates going from month to month, all the way 12 months. Signing for 12 months obviously gets you a reduced rate vs month to month but it will still reflect the annual increase. If you still decide to rent there, avoid the buildings in the back of the property. They back up to Walmart. Even though there is a sign in back of Walmart advising trucks not to unload prior to 7:00 am, you will still hear the waste management trucks emptying the dumpsters every morning around 5 to 6. Also the ground floor of building 1400 has a slight gas leak somewhere of which Post Crossing has never solved. You can detect it in the parking lot around the building. There was an increasing amount of crime that went on while I was there. Many cars were broken into during 2006 and 2007. The post about the break-ins is also true. During my time there, the make of the community also changed from working professionals to lower end renters and college students. If beer cans and bottles left on balconies and tons of cigarettes all over the parking lot is your thing, then this is the place. Finally - the post about pets is true. Many of the renters have pets, particularly dogs. The walls are very thin - nuff said. Me personally - I will never rent from Post Properties ever again - primarily due to the staff...or more specifically -----. I always paid my rent a week before it was due, never caused problems for my neighbors, and was a model corporate citizen. On two occasions, ----- (Property Mgr) fined me. One was for $5.00 over payment of the water bill. When I moved in, Post didn't have a way to auto deduct your payment. As such, some renters would write Post a check for a few hundred dollars to cover about a years worth of water. I did this up until Post was able to issue real invoices for water use and auto deduct. When the advance ran out, instead of sending me a courtesy letter to let me know that I needed to send another advance, they fined me. I gave them another couple hundred dollars (interest free) but they refused to remove the fine for $5.00. Yes, it's only 5 bucks but it is the principle - bad customer service. The second fine was over rent. I had been there about 2 years with my rent on an automatic payment set up from my bank. In November of 2006, there was in issue with the bank's payment system that delayed payment by 1 day. Keep in mind that my payments had been on time for two years and then there was this unusual "situation". Again, instead of a courtesy call or note, they fined me $100. Even after approaching ----- to pay her directly a day after I was notified of the bank's issue, which was a day after the payment was due, she held tight on the fine. Again, bad customer service. I was the ideal renter (good income, pays on time, no trouble, etc) and they still treated me like dirt. Apartments have to have rules / fines in place because it is necessary. There are people who don't pay rent, cause problems for their surrounding neighbors, etc. - I get it. However, in this case Post Properties doesn't get it. They cannot distinguish the good from the bad. Everyone gets treated the same. Avoid them altogether - there are plenty of other places in the Dunwoody area that are equally competitive on price, location, and amenities. TIP - scan the local MLS listings or contact a local realtor for Condo or House rentals. There are equally good deals to be found here vs apartments.
