I know there are small problems here but was great to me
I lived in here for 1 yr in a townhouse so i probably did not go through what other people have gone through but overall it was pretty good to me. Remember that you can have a really bad location and have a bad experience and someone in the next apartment could have enjoyed it all so that part is called luck. other than that, ive never had problems with the staff though i've had problems with them, always sorted those out with the staff.even had a late rent payment once which i negotiated down to half with angela, the manager. maintenance was prompt besides once or twice. i did look at apartments there and they older and more worn out than the townhouses. construction is also thin so you do hear heater pipes through the wood and foot steps but thats just how america is built anyway, overall i think post is a great place to live and the rent is lower than neighbouring communities, jefferson at perimeter (avoid) and perimeter pointe (avoid). sorry if i sound like the other guy's staff but ive been to all of them regularly and know the differences.

Best kept secret
We were hesitant about coming to Atlanta after reading several apt reviews, but a fellow employee where my husband is employed, gave us information to come here to Post Crossing and look. He had heard from a friend that this was what we were looking for-good location, quiet and safe with a pet policy. We didn't expect to find the staff so helpful and professional! You get what you pay for!! It may not be the newest apt, but it is well taken care of, and the staff and other residents are fantastic! We have lived in nice apts in Greenville, SC, Sarasota, FL, and Savannah,GA but this staff is the best we've ever come across and we are home owners,so we know the ups and downs of apt living. I would recommend this apt to anyone, especially if you're new to Atlanta. As we were leaving after our initial visit, a resident was walking by the office and said "you'll like it here, I've been here 4 years". I just hope this helps someone else coming to Atlanta.

Not recommended - terrible experience here
Rent here is due on the first of each month. In our lease it states "rent is late if paid after the 3rd of the month." However, my husband and I were out of town one holiday weekend and deposited our rent check on the morning of the 3rd on our way to work into the night drop box. A couple of days went by and we had a late notice in our door. I called the office to address the late notice and was told that rent is due on the first, after that it is late. So we argued and finally paid the 10% late fee. Now, I called the office today to let them know that I did not have a chance to make it to the bank this morning to get a casheir's check, my monthly payment method now too since they have lost several of my rent checks. Today is the first and I was told that as long as I have rent paid by the end of business on the 3rd, it is not late. Needless to say, management is all over the place, get everything in writing, get receipts for your rent, do not use the night drop, and buy a house - this is not worth it. We have had several other problems including the gate closing on our car several times, leaks in our apartment that have not been properly repaired, and extremely poor customer service.

Headache!
Living at Post Crossing was a headache! The staff members are extremely rude, incompetent, they really don't care about the residents and it feels like they are constantly looking for ways of making our lives stressful and complicated.
You have to double-check EVERYTHING since you first sign the lease until the final water bill (that they keep charging me even though it shows in my bank account that they already cashed the check 2 weeks ago! ---- sometimes I feel like doing the job for them, because they don't seem to know what they are doing).
I complained to Post Properties SEVERAL times and I NEVER received a reply.
I used to hate to go to the office to pay my rent every month, because I would have to see all those unhelpful and rude people who I could NEVER count on for anything, but I had to go there in order to get a receipt and keep the receipt in a very safe place (because they lose rent checks sometimes and send you eviction notes before double-checking with you if it was perhaps their mistake --- and, when you prove with your receipt that it was in fact their mistake, they NEVER not even apologize).
If you don't want to have headaches, don't move there!

Post Crossing is in a great location
Post does a good job. Nothing immaculate, but for the area and amenities the rent is fair. They probably do need to expand the laundry facility, but it works...been there twice where I had to come back in over a year of using--plus, you can rent for $20 a month in unit. Staff is cool. I think people have different experiences do to the way they treat people. Parking is tight, once every month or so I have had to park pretty far away--all considering, not bad. I

Very noisy, poor construction, laundry room often full, not enough parking, etc...
I have lived at Post Crossing and can only say...look elsewhere. When I first moved in, it seemed that the residents were screened better but now it seems that anything goes; Probably for the sake of keeping their occupancy percentage high. I have seen a lot of really young people move in who like to stay up late, sit in cars and play their car stereos on maximum volume. On the weekends there is always vomit in the parking lot and people coming and going at all hours of the night.

The walls are thin and you can hear people walking in the halls, up and down the stairwell, opening and closing their doors, walking above and next door to you, the fan in the bathroom, and having sex. You can also hear people on their phones!!! This gets very annoying especially after midnight or so. You hear the dishwashers, washing machines dryers and even when people just run the hot water as the PVC pipes make all kinds of loud noises. This lack of proper insulation is apparent in the heating and cooling of the apartments as well.
Everything is a seperate charge; gas, water and electricity. The only good thing I can say is that their maintenance staff is prompt and gets things done right the first time.

There have been several cars stolen and broken into so don't get lulled into a flase sense of security seeing the gate. Many people piggyback through the gate and there are often solicitations at your door. The other day someone came to my door asking for money for college!!!

I have lived in many apartment buildings in my life, so I know what to expect in apartment living, but this one is one of the worst.

Don't make the mistake of even getting involved with Post Apartments. They will charge you for anything, tell you one thing then do another, etc. I had one of the leasing agents walk through my apartment with me after I had loaded up the moving van, saw the sheet where she had checked everything, no problems with the apartment and yet I still got charged for carpet stains ($55). Called them, thought I had it taken care of, talked to Susan as well, she said everything was taken care of, and now I've got a notice saying they're going to turn me in to the credit bureau. They will f**k you over, big time. Noisy, obnoxious neighbors, too. Stay the heck away from Post.

DON"T RENT HERE..Find another apartment complex!!!
The last two comments are true. So, whatever you do...rent somewhere else.

Post Crossing is nice at first and the staff will tell you whatever you want to hear. After you pay your deposit, everything changes...the apartment was dirty (nothing like the unit they showed in the tour) when we moved in, other tenants are low-class, the walls are paper thin, and they try to charge you for anything and everything. We've had several maintenance issues and of course the staff, especially Susan, always has an excuse.

There are other apartment complexes around the area...the others MUST be better. They can't be any worse.
Find Somewhere Else
Hi, i am a pretty easy to please person, i do not really fuss about anything as long as i have a roof over my head. I was in love with this place when i first saw it, however as the months went by it got worse. Please left thier clothes in the washer/dryer for long hours. The administration is nice to you at the begining but they are hypocites, they are racist and prejudice, especially Susan and Angie. Do not get fooled by them. After paying a full 1300 dollars a month rent, they wanted to evict me for $50 i owed them for a lock change which they told me they would fix for free of charge. I mean to evict me for $50 is pretty low, after i paid you so much. If you do rent from them, please take a note of everything that is said and promised ok, write it down in their presence. It is reall not worth it. They just want your money they don't care about you. My advice to you is to get a home.

This is not a joke
This is a real story, I swear... I lived in Post for two full years. The first year was OK. My car got backed into and the person just drove off, but that could happen anywhere. Then the second year..... I signed a new lease and they up'ed my rent $102 a month(no joke). I signed a new lease cause I was lazy and didn't want to move. Then one week after I signed that lease someone broke my door. (Someone kicked it so had that it broke the hinge in two places). I told the police, then I told management and they acted like I kicked it in myself. They billed me for $70 to replace the hinges (which I refused to pay). A week later two men were caught breaking in a door and robbing an apartment. Why they just kicked in my door and didn't rob me I'll never know... Well even after the police caught the two robbers the apartment wanted me to pay the $70 to fix the door. I again refused cause the caught the guys who broke my door. Then one day I came home from work and I saw a couch out in the parking lot and I remember saying "Wow, that looks like my couch". Turns out it was. The apartments gave me no notice. They just got all my stuff out of the apartment and put it in the apartment parking lot and changed the lock while I was at work. (Needless to say 2/3 of my stuff was stolen while sitting in a parking lot all day) Why did they evict me. Cause I refused to pay the $70 for someone else kicking in my door, even after the men were caught red handed and arrested. THIS IS A TRUE STORY. POST CROSSING IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO LIVE.

Dog poop everywhere. Barking dogs constantly
It's a great place if you want to hear your neighbor walk and talk above you. Paper thin walls. Dog poop and barking 24/7. Super Wal-Mart = crime and car break-ins. Not worth the money when so many others much better so close.

Great!!
I have lived at Post crossing for 2 years and I love it as much now, as I did when I first moved in. You can't beat the location, being so close to everything...everything! Shopping, arts center, library, movie and stage theaters, and the resturants!! Perimeter mall, Super Target, Super Walmart, Borders and it's all within walking distance. It's wonderful. The apartment staff is great as well. I don't know what I would have done if not for Susan the property manager, who has consistently been a sweetie. I live in a roommate style 2bd/2bath and have no complaints. The rent is mostly for the safety, location and quietness of the complex. In this city it's sometimes hard to find a very diverse group of tenants that get along, with no drama or sterotypical lifestlyes. It's perfect!!

Minimal problems
Lived here for over 2 years, like it and the location. The ants are annoying but spray and *poof* they are gone. The walls tend to be a little thin as can be expected when living in an apartment. Overall, I feel safe and the price is right for me.

Sub-standard quality at very high cost! TOTAL NIGHTMARE!
I lived at Post Crossing for way too long! This place is CRAP! A brief list of problems:
My 6 lb dog was chased twice and bitten once by unleased dogs. (they don´t enforce the leash law) An I can´t count how many times I stepped in dog poop! Last summer I shared an apartment with ants for 3 months.(yes they paid for pest control for that, but it was just par for the course!) The pool closes at 10 pm and every night I was kept up by loud jerks down at the pool until midnight or later!!!! Everytime I called the courtesy officer he would tell me to call 911! What the *&%$? They did nothing to control it.
There was mold in the hall, bathroom and closet. My favorite part is when they were too sorry to clean the gutters, we had a big storm and the rain soaked through the wall, into the ceiling and dripped down through the ceiling fan and ruined a $2k mattress. The water puddle in the middle of my bed was 2 1/2 ft across! By the way I was on ground level! They said I needed to use my renters insurance. Screw that! Not to mention, the leak went on for 3 days. They wouldn´t "couldn´t" do anything until it stopped raining. It was poor construction and poor maintenence that was to blame for that!!!! I shouldn´t have to make a claim for their neglect. After tons of calls and aggressiveness all the way up to corp, finally they paid my drycleaning for the duvet and my insurance deductible. I still had to make a claim! I had large water stains running down the walls. People told me that my clothes/apartment had a strange odor. Yeah, that would be mildew odor! Well, in the winter, a leasing agent showed an apartment above ours ( which is ridiculously loud, you can hear everything even cabinet doors closing!) any way... the fireplace gas was turned and left on all night and had the pleasure of the gas company waking us up for gas leaks. Our neighbors had to sleep in their car b/c it was so bad. I had a headache for 2 days from it. There is a ton more to share, but I don´t have all day. This place would be fine if the rent was about 1/2 of what it is! $1185/mo is too expensive for sub-standard quality. The staff is just as sweet as can be...but you have to pull teeth and show your behind to get anything done b/c nothing is their problem. IT IS YOUR PROBLEM!

I love it here!
I currently reside at Post Crossing and have been there for about 1 1/2 years. I live in one of their smaller one bedrooms. Which is completely limited in space, but I love the location. It´s only 3-5 minutes from Perimeter Mall and in walking distance to Borders and Wal-Mart. The grounds are always clean and well lit. Any maintenance requests I have are usually addressed within 24 to 48 business hours. Although I have had limited interaction with the staff, when I do they have always been courteous and professional. The only complaint I have is that I can sometimes smell other tenants smoke and food/cooking through the air vents, which can be annoying but that´s rare. I would recommend this complex to anyone who values quietness and clean surroundings not to mention excellent/convienient location.
