Do not rent here!!!!!!
Roaches, Rats, Crack Heads in your bushes, on your porch, ------ fabulous neighborhood, day labor across the street, sirens, gun shots, drug dealers, horrible incompetent management (affirmative action at its best), no insulation, decades old appliances, musty, trash, very thin walls and ceilings, young ------ thugs, interstate noise, non-english speaking russian maintenance men. I would rather stay at Gitmo in Cuba than ever, ever live here again. I have already contacted the Health Department on several issues. You have been warned.

This place blows!
We have Ants, which isn't so bad... but we also have Rats and mice, so do our neighbors.

Not only that, but we were lied to when we moved in about certain things we had to pay for amongst other things. Our neighbors also were lied to in the same way.

The staff is rude, arrogant, and completely unreliable.

The gates don't work, there are homeless people sleeping in the bushes and looking into people's apartments at night. It's absolutely rediculous. They know of all these problems and do nothing at all to fix them.

There's mold behind the walls from leaky pipes. It's nauseating. This place is horrible.

Do not come here, turn back whatever you do. It's not worth the cheaper prices... you'll end up paying for it in pest traps, insecticide, and stolen property.

As if it couldn't get worse, my car was broken into, INSIDE the gate, when it was working.

There are drug dealers everywhere fighting in the street. The Sandy Springs PD is out here constantly. It's loud all night long. Sleeping is next to impossible. You can hear guns going off at night and sirens never seem to stop.

The crime demographics for this area are 8.0-9.0.

Don't pass go, don't collect 200 dollars, just stay away from here!!

Stonebridge Sucks
The staff has been rude and unwilling to help when help was needed. My appartment was broken into and I was promised several changes but nothing was ever done. I would not feel safe if any of my female friends/relatives lived here. There are teenagers who constantly loiter with nothing to do. The apartments are a good value for the square footage, but you get much less than you paid for in every other area. Be ready to install bars on your windows and a security system if you decide to move in.

Just know what you are getting into
I have lived at Stonebridge for over two years. When I first moved in the place was wonderful, however soon after renewing my lease everything went downhill. The staff is awful, they are inconsiderate and rude. They only report crimes that won't hurt their image, however stolen cars and armed robberies are, and I quote the office manager, "not crimes." The place overall isn't too loud, and the places are huge and nice for the price. But I truly think the price is low because it is in a horrible part of town, right next to the interstate, and the crime is high. With the new expansion of I-285 it is only going to get worse. You can already see it getting worse, the bugs are worse, the staff isn't fixing fallen signs, etc. When I first moved in I would have recommended this place to anyone, however now I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Not going to find a bigger, nicer floorplan for the money
I have lived here for almost two years and I adore my apartment. It's big, open, elegant and on the top floor. I have a view of the pond, which admitedly is often muddy and full of trash but is also home to geese, ducks , turtles, and the occassional crane and otter so it can't be that dirty. I am on a corner so my only neighbors are below me and on one side. Maintenance has been prompt on the few occassions I had to call them and yes, once there was an ant infestation but it was in a line to the kitchen and securing all food and keeping on top of the cleaning took care of that. The crime reports during my first year scared me but they have since upgraded their gates and gotten rid of the people that used to hang out by the rear entrance. I have not personally experienced any crime there. The kids are loud but they are kids and this is normal. Noisy neighbors that play bass at all hours have become an issue this year but they are old and partially deaf as well as being from another land so I think this is something you might get anywhere. Overall I get tons of compliments on my home and really have enjoyed living there.

We moved here from out of town so we picked it solely based on price, floorplan & location. All of these things are great. That's about where the greatness ends.
ANTS: They have been a huge problem since day 1. I'm not talking ants in the sugar bowl. We have to keep ALL of our food in the refrigerator - even nonperishables because they'll come get it. They're in the bathroom, the closet, the den, the furnace closet, the ceilings - EVERYWHERE. The exterminator comes by every Tuesday and has made the situation a little more manageable.
SAFETY: I haven't been attacked or anything like I've read about. And ok, so there are gas stations at both entrances that are hang-outs for scary people and there's a MARTA stop right by the gate and the Mexican workers stand outside waiting for work right across the street. I get it - it's Atlanta, a big city, I'm ok with all of that. That's why I liked the idea of it being a gated community. But when the gates don't work about 60% of the time and when they do, you have hoodlums cutting you off and forcing you to let them in when the gates ARE working, I don't see a point in having them at all...Even if the gates worked all the time, the way the place is set up so that guests and residents all use the same keypad to get in is pointless. And hoodlums still walk around. Also, the place has no outside lighting. Well, right around the front of the office building there are some ugly orange lights... but when I'm walking my dog after dark, I have almost fallen on concrete steps numerous times because you just can't see. You also can't see when the scary hoodlums are walking towards you. My dog can't even see in such darkness! Not only is that dangerous for people who have to walk their dogs after the sun goes down, but it's just not safe.
THE LEASING STAFF: They're not as bad as they could be, I suppose. Maintenance is reliable, friendly, and has fixed everything we've asked them too. But I had a FedEx package that I was waiting on and when it never arrived, I called the office to see if they had heard anything about it and it had been there over a week! They didn't even ATTEMPT to call us, leave us a note, or ANYTHING! I now have to check with them regularly to make sure they're not hoarding any of my other packages. It's just a pain in the ---.
RECONSTRUCTION: Good. Thanks for doing it. But if you're going to block our entrance to our front door and inconvenience us for several days, give us more than 24 hours notice!!!!!!!!
Thankfully, our lease is almost up - but especially if you're moving from out of town - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY PRICES AND FLOORPLANS!!! You do NOT want to live here. I hate living somewhere I'm embarrassed about and every day, my heart just sinks when I drive through that open gate.....

Nice place so far
I have lived here for 4 months now. I am a college student so it is VERY nice compared to what I'm used to. The floorplan is big, rent is cheap, people are mostly quiet, i haven't experienced any crime (but from what I'm reading i'm guessing it's only a matter of time till i do), maintenance fixes stuff right away, the Office staff is very nice & down to earth, grounds are ok--all in all a nice place. We had ants the first month but I just had the apartment sprayed and I havent seen them since. My neighbors are also very considerate (except my upstairs neighbor loves to play loud Salsa music at 3am sometimes). Also I LOVE the diversity! Plus the complex is close to EVERYTHING, Perimeter Mall, Roswell rd has stuff to do for miles, Buckhead, etc.

The waterbugs must help me pay the rent
I told the staff that I my house was infested with bugs and they wanted me to be okay with it like it was part of the standard features. I could not believe it. How two faced these people were once I signed the dotted line they just did not care about me anymore I can't wait to move out. These people are so inconsiderate. Aside from my 1st month almost being ran off the road.

reality
i have read all of the comments about this place. i did this before i moved in and after living here for 4 months. here's the truth as i see it from a mid-level apartment..

1. ants: yup. but we only ever had them in our apartment once and they were in a straight line to the sugar bowl which is now empty and i haven't had any since. I DO GET THEM IN MY CAR IF I PARK IN CERTAIN PLACES. and i have heard from other residents that they have SERIOUS ant problems in their building but i have not experienced it myself at this time.

2. roaches: dear lord! we are in georgia people, there are bugs here. i have seen the same "roaches" in many places, both public and private; indoors and out. i don't know if they are palmettos or actual roaches, all i know is that the ones that I'VE seen are not the garbage-induced type. If you have those, either you need to clean better or your neighbor does. I've never seen any of those.

3. centipedes (or something that looks like them): ok, these suckers freak me out and we see 1 or 2 a week in our apartment on a regular basis. they are fast so if you try and kill them, you need to be fast too.

4. maintenance: i have never had a problem with maintenance. they fix what's broken and do it in a timely manner. that's not to say that i enjoy needing their services.. i've had three fairly major problems since we've moved here. but it could've been worse if it wasn't taken care of well so i'm taking it as the fact that this is not a brand-spankin'-new complex that shouldn't have issues.

5. office staff: ok, they are not the most 'together' people i have ever come across; however, most of them are really nice and have been very accomodating (and i can be a pain in the butt; i know i've definately challenged their patience).

6. price/space: i have NOTHING to complain about here. our place is HUGE, especially for the money. and money aside, it's still BIG and LIGHT and AIRY. and the money is great for the location. if i wanted to pay less i can go live in one of the cheaper complexes in the area, or as i like to call them "little mexico". don't get me wrong, i have no ill-feelings towards -------- or mexico in general. but those places seem to be in complete disarray and with gang markings all over the place. which brings me to...

7. neighbors: there is a diversity in race among the renters here. if you can't handle that, move to a location that is still quietly segregated towards what you prefer, but don't move here. however, if you like diversity and different cultures, this is a great place.

8. safety: i don't like that there is obvious "crime" here.. 2 flyers about break-ins in 4 months is a lot to me. we lived in a fairly exclusive place before this one and received similar notices. so it happens.

9. amenities: we don't use them enough to comment on them.

OVERALL: we love it here. it has it's problems but the pros outweight the cons for us. we're close to everything, our apartment is big for a reasonable price and it has lots of light and openness.

you will get different opinions from different people with different problems. we can only speak for what we've experienced and wanted to offer a balanced, unbiased view of living here that is not clouded by resentment, anger, or the fact that for all apartments the leasing staff often posts their own ratings.

Love the location and floor size for the price!!
I am very shocked to see these negative reviews about roaches and rats in stonebridge.... I have never seen or heard of any of these things. People bring roaches believe it or not, maybe these people are just NASTY??? Keep yourself clean and your apartment clean people!
I see wooded areas and squirrels which to me is a lovley sight given that WE ARE IN THE ATLANTA CITY LIMITS. Looking at trees and nice landscaping beats concrete buildings any day.plus it's very quiet and laid back atmosphere. The maint. people always came to fix my work orders in the same day I called!!I do infact love the location and the convienience to the hwys. Saves on GAS!!! For the price and the size of apartments it's a no brainer to live here! I went down the street and looked at some other apartments and They were charging $200-$350 more for less square footage... That's CRAZY!! I will re-new my lease for next year!

Biggest mistake of my life!!!!
Don't let moving here be the biggest mistake of your life like I did!!! Granted, the location is perfect, but my neighbors absolutely suck ---. I mean, music blasting early in the morning, late at night, on Christmas, even when there's no electricity(i know that's not possible). It's hard to get some peace and quiet. I'm a student and am always trying to study, so hearing loud --- music at all times during the day wasn't convenient. I think I have a squirrel in my room somewhere 'cause I'm always hearing a scratching sound. Luckily my lease runs out in a couple of months and I'm outta here!!! Like another person said, they keep the area around the leasing office on point, but everywhere else is shi%ty!! Also, I am close to giving some of these kids around here the --- whooping of their life. Always playing football/basketball outside and hitting my freakin car.p.s. make sure you have a decent roommate too...

Get out NOW
I just moved out of the complex and here is a list of the few issues that I had. First am a single gal and loved the place on sat afternoon when I first looked. My neighbors below me were drug dealers and when I would leave for work at 7am they still had people coming over and they would harass me in the parking lot as I was leaving. Also had a huge ant problem and would never go away no matter how much they came and sprayed.

Can't beat the Location..
Easy interstate access via 285, 85, 75, 400 you name it and you can get there with out having to drive all the slow back roads. I moved here and now only drive 15mins to my job. that beats the 45min drive at my last place.

Criminal Neighbors
This parking lot resembles a snoop dogg video. It never really bothered me because of the cheap price, until they broke into my car and gutted my stereo, car cleaning fluids, you name it. If you move here, be prepared to deal with peice of ---- black neighbors with no common decency that also come to a peaceful and quiet pool and start hooting and hollering and splashing like monkeys.

Management not paying attention
This apartment complex is not very well kept up unless the place being kept up is highly visible to new tenants around the Mgt office. The management at this complex lets the upkeep go and doesn't enforce rules that are put in place. Just a quick walk of the property and cleaning up messes and enforcing rules that they have laid out would be great. I am moving as soon as possible.

Highly Recommended
Property is well maintained in appearance. They touch up and pressure wash the buildings in the Spring, and my building's walkways are cleaned frequently. Gates or exercise equipment are fixed promptly if they break. Pool and tennis areas are is well maintained and clean. People feel safe enough to jog, play tennis or walk dogs after dark. Apartments are well designed, and mine is very roomy. You have a choice between all electric or gas/electric. The community laundry room, if you need it, is very low traffic, clean and and secure. Some outside bugs that others have mentioned are due to a large amount of trees and foliage on the property. I haven't had any roaches in my apartment, and none of my neighbors have reported this either. The property has lots of picnic areas that are under-utilized but readily available. People drive at safe speeds inside the property and the trash area is cleaned up daily by maintenance. Any trash build-up you might see around the compactors occurs on Saturday when everyone takes out the trash, or after the maintenance hours. I blame the tenants for being filthy, and not the maintenance staff, because I see them cleaning up the trash on my way to work every morning. Windows are double-paned and my apartment heats up and cools off very quickly (energy efficient). Overall, I've really loved the apartments and am only moving because I'm leaving the state. Keep in mind that most people who post on this site do so only because they want to trash a property's name for some reason, and most of the bad reviews exaggerate.

Sitting On The Fence
I've lived here for 11 months. Initially, people with the leasing office were extremely nice. However, after signing the lease it has been problem after problem.

First of all, I made the mistake of moving into a bottom level apartment. The only good thing that has come out of this experience is that I've adopted a stray cat that I love tremendously. On the other hand, there are bugs EVERYWHERE! I think that the inseticide the 'bug man' sprays does help some, but they still come in. I have only seen two cockroaches and have not seen any rats since I've lived here. Mainly I've just seen caterpillars, spiders, and mosquitos. In addition, my apartment has flooded twice since I've moved in...which is a huge hassle and huge liability if you don't have renters insurance. Both times they only replaced the carpet padding, but not the carpet itself.

The leasing staff for the most part is very unhelpful and inflexible. I've gone through multiple negotiations while attempting to transfer to a top level apartment. Every time the information they give me is different. Just recently, after the last flooding incident, they agreed to lower my rent to a reasonable price...after initially jacking it up 75$ more a month. I've found Linda and Cara to be the most helpful of the staff...Kim is horrible.

There have been several times I've seen some of the other tennents behaving poorly and have had to call the police to maintain order. Once my car was egged and nothing was done about it by the leasing staff. I have also heard gunshots go off at night, even though this is generally a fairly safe neighborhood.

Although there is a lot of traffic on Roswell Rd., I do like the location. It's convenient to Buckhead, 400, and 285. Also, it's near any store or restaurant you could ever want.

I am considering renewing my lease here if I don't find anything better, but I am keeping my eyes peeled.

If you like a ant farm, rats, and nasty neighbors than Stonebridge is the place for you. Futhermore, this is place is a dump and it's falling apart. They only show the nice model on the tour but they hide the actual unit from hell. The location is the best but the apartment is the worst.

worst apartments ever!!!!
Oh my god! when i first viewed the apartments they were nice, but as soon as they got us in there the place was hell. I lived with a rat in my apartment for the last two months of my lease. i was just paying rent and living somewhere else. The leasing office ignored my compaint until i threatened to call the health department then they sent some guy out who laid traps out in the open so everyone who came in my house could see them. And lets not start on the ditzy women who work in the leasing office. they never did anything all they did was sit there and collect a paycheck.Needless to say after this horrible experience I packed my things and moved to Dunwoody! It may be a little more pricey, but its worth it.overall I wouldnt reccomend this place to my worst enemy!

It's an apartment...
...and that being said, it is an apartment community. Let's go topic by topic:
1. Gates. They are NOT security gates. If you think they are, then you are wrong. They are access gates. Why do they have them? To discourage unwanted guests - but not to guarantee anything. If you want fully functional gates, install them once you buy a house.
2. Roaches (ants, mice, other critters). We had an ant problem during the horrible rain/floods/hurricane season. Pest control sprayed, I sprayed, the ants left. Let me assure you - if there had been roaches or mice or any other critters, lease or no lease, I would have left!
3. ------. Hello, it is right across from the Prado. There are lots of people looking to party living nearby. There are also lots of -------- people nearby. Rent is cheap and it is inside the Perimeter. I've seen worse!
4. Office staff. Apartment leasing is not a glamour job ya'll. Dealing with the public is not fun, and I don't think it pays well. All that said, Allison & Kim (the only two people in the office I ever spoke with) were great. Knowledgeable and friendly.
5. Maintenance. When me and my duaghter accidently locked our bathroom doors and bedroom doors (don't ask!!!) maintenance came over and unlocked them within an hour - after hours! I haven't really broken anything major, so I can't comment on anything else.

Last, since I have lived in Georgia I have lived in a JMG property (Holland Park before this one). I've never had any issues with either. Feel free to email me if you need any info.

PS: I am not on their payroll!

water damage high crime
I lived here for a year and while living there the upstairs apartment leaked all over my closet. All of my clothes were ruined before I realized what it was. The smell coming from the mildewed wall definately gave it away. If you like hearing women getting beat by the pool then this is the best place in the world

YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!
Hmmm!!! Where do I start? When I first toured this place everything looked nice, but of course that was the model. I had a One Bedroom One Bath Apartment, and it was crowded as hell. I was the only one on the lease but somehow, tenants were still living there when I moved in. Evidently they overlooked them, needless to say they roomed with me for the term of lease not contributing any rent. Oh by the way...I'm not talking about humans, rather a sleu of insects the size of a squirrel. Rather crowded in there, so me being the bigger person, I decided to move out and let them have there apartment back. The management team made no efforts of evicting them after constant complaints and requests for the exterminator to come out.
This apartment is so inconsistent... one side looks like brooklyn and the other side looks like the bronx...either way they are both in the ------. Not to mention the fact that I have to lean to the side to grab toilet tissue to wipe my butt when I take a dump. The toilet tissue holder is located at the base of the floor on the right side of the tiolet not even in close reach.
Anyhow, always pay money orders and hand it to the manager b/c for some reason the blonde leasing agent lost 2 of my checks. Oh well...in leu of this experience...I moved up the block away from the Mexican hang out.
