A great community with easy access to both 495 and the commuter rails. Within walking distance of the newest K-8 school in Haverhill/Bradford (just completed for the fall of 2017). Maintenance staff is quick to respond to any issues.

I have live here 7 yrs . No complaints. I never hear neighbors. I am pleased with how quickly the maintenance staff responds and the rent hasn't increased beyond my means. The grounds are kept nice and my son enjoys the pool , basketball courts and park

I called Forest Acres to inquire about the apartments I saw for rent on one of the renters search websites. The woman who picked up the phone in the office was very rude to me during the whole conversation. I asked about the three bedroom apartments and she laughed at me and told me that there were none available. When I told her that I saw the listing on trulia she got snarky and said those are examples. I asked if I could be put on a waiting list she rudely told me don't bother there are 8 people on it already and then said have a good day and hung up while I was asking another question. If this place doesn't want to loose business or prospective tenants their staff need a lesson in courtesy and customer service. They should only list available units online if they don't want the phone calls.

It is a nice section if town. Getting in and out if Forest Acres is a but difficult and there are many accidents for that reason. Maintenance is usually prompt and courteous. The ofice staff has recently changednwith new management so it is hard for me to comment on that.

I am not sure where the good reviews are coming from, however, these apartments aren't worth the price. Right off the bat, you can walk into any building and notice two things; smoke and mold smells, and several names on mailboxes. A lot of people smoke here, and the ventilation is so bad that you can't open a window (on a nice day) or turn on the heat (on a cold day) without it filling your apartment - good luck if you have asthma! Secondly, they will rent out to 4+ people per apartment. This means the parking lots will be full due to stacked renters per apartment plus their visitors. The number of times you'll come home and not find a parking spot is unacceptable. The visitors will park so badly your cars will get scratched and dented. There are no sprinkler systems, so with all the smokers and BBQs people still use, you're at risk of your home burning down like one did a short while ago. Imagine losing your kids and stuff because of all the smokers. On top of all that, the apartments are falling apart; you will have constant water leaks from neighbors, the floorboards are loose, the walls are so thin you can hear what neighbors are saying and smell the fish they keep cooking - yum. The place is so fragile, they put the water heaters outside, so in New England cold spells, you'll lose heat and hot water often. And every time your neighbor slams the doors, your whole place shakes - imaging that at random hours of the night. The new management is so intrusive, they'll want everything from you, to the point where I'm surprised they haven't asked us to pee in a cup yet. These people are worse than Facebook in mining data on you. Speaking of privacy, I hope you don't like having it because you won't here. They have random inspections for no reason. They'll tell you the day of, make up something like they have to check toilets, a guy will show up at random to flush your toilet and walk out. They do many things like this just to keep scoping out your apartment, it's pretty crazy. If you pay more than $800 for these apartments, then you're really, really bad with money. The neighborhood has a ton of obvious drug dealing. They don't even try to hide it anymore. You'll have four-bangers at all hours of the night keep you up with their exhausts. They rent to a LOT of college kids which means, yeah, parties and rowdiness. On top of which, all the condos around your property are always full of SCREAMING kids any time it's nice outside. You'll be stuck for 20 min. at times just trying to get off the property and onto the main road to leave, so I hope you don't have a job that needs you to be on time. Would we live here again? Never.

Great environment and very peaceful! Would recommend to anyone. Fast response when something needs to get fixed in the apartment. Community friendly and the neighbors are very helpful. A gym would be great in the complex.

They seem to go up in rent every year with no justification to why. Since the switch to Princeton Properties, they have raised the laundry cost, raised the rent by $70/mo, and there is no reason for it other than the obvious: the next cheapest apartment complex is around this amount too. Horrible decision.

Since management has switched over, I have seen many valuable upgrades and a higher set of standards being implemented. I am please with their attention to detail and professionalism. Even though they raised the rent amount, I feel it is worth the money, and I would suggest friends and family to live here.

A good area with reasonable rates....management team is very nice. Parking spaces are a little small and congested but other than that a nice place with pretty friendly people all around a good place to live.

Nice and quiet very clean community. I don't understand why the new management is charging for storage. Could do better with a bigger washing machine and dryer. Maintenance staff are very efficient and professional

Forest Acres has been my home for the past few years and It's been great! The staff is exceptionally nice, responsive and in-tune with their residents, buildings and community as a whole. It is very warm, safe and inviting here. All the residents are extremely friendly and respectful of one another! I've made many friends here between my neighbors, office staff and maintenance team. It's located in a great area which conveniently has a strip mall located across the street, equipped with a Dunkin Donuts, 7-11, three restaurants, laundry mat, liquor store, tanning salon and more! The highways are located about 2 minutes from the complex and downtown Haverhill is only 5 minutes away, which makes everything close and convenient. As for the apartments and buildings themselves, they are very clean and up to date. Before moving in the staff will fully inspect your apartment, replace all carpet, and make any and all necessary repairs or updates. Utilities are included which is a huge plus! Laundry is on site as well as your own personal storage unit! The community has a swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, playground and picnic area, so there's never a dull moment. Parking lots are conveniently located right outside of your apartment so there's no long walks home, and are labeled by number for your apartment, so there's no need to worry about parking! As well as ample guest parking. I have absolutely no complaints about my living experience here and have made Forest Acres my home! I plan on staying here and continuing to grow with the community. I give Forest Acres of Haverhill two thumbs up and 5 of 5 stars! I highly recommend this community to anybody, and would suggest inquiring here above all other apartment complexes in the area! Thank you to the Forest Acres staff and community for creating such a safe, inviting neighborhood! God Bless! -NR

There is nothing to love about this community. You know that saying "the customer is always right"? It does not apply here. I am a good tennant, quiet clean, respectful and pay my rent in full and on time, but they treat me badly and like I am an idiot. I am disciplined for not paying bills I don't receive (lockout fees). If I don't get a bill, how do I know to pay it? They have an archaic system for managing bills; they leave them in a baggie on your doorknob. When I call to state that I never received the bill and would like to discuss the penalties, they tell me I should have known to pay it because it was in the lease, but how do I know where or who to pay? On top of that, the ceiling above my shower leaks when the unit above uses their shower. Maintenance told me there was no problem, but they didn't investigate completely. And there are rodents in the ceiling, I hear them every night because the walls are paper thin. If you are considering renting an apt here, think twice and then rent somewhere else.

We love our community at Forest Acres. We have neighbors who turned into friends and are now family. We do appreciate how accessible the office is and the maintenance staff here responds very quickly if there is an issue. We have been here for four years and we haven't had many issues.

Great place to live. Management communicates with residents and tries to get involved with residents (e.g. holiday parties, BINGO). Maintenance also is quick to respond to issues. The landscaping of the property is nice as well. Park and pool for kids.

Soso some issues the management has said would be addressed are still in limbo. Assignment of parking spot due to the fact that some people have 1 car, others have 2, and still others have 3 which makes it difficult for the people who have only one to park near their unit
