Amazing!!!
I would like to start by thanking the staff at Forest Acres, from the moment I walked in I felt like family. The staff is so friendly and no matter what question asked they were very well educated and never hesitated to answer a question. They are sp accomadating, and so helpful and really worked with us even though we were in a tough place. I am so proud to tell everyone I am staying at Forest Acres. Thank you so much marie and pauline they truley make the whole experience wonderful

Great Place to Rent!
My wife and I have lived here for 5 years now and have loved it! The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. They have always taken care of our needs in a timely fashion and we have always trusted them to enter when we're not home if something needs to be fixed in our apartment. Having the heat and central a/c included in the rent is very nice during hot summers and cold winters, it has allowed us to have the perfect temperature year round. The square footage is generous and my wife loves the walk-in closet. We also love the on-site laundry and storage facilities. The balcony easily fits our outdoor lounge chairs and is a great place to relax outside. Speaking of the outside... there is lots to mention, plenty of trees, a pond, playground, tennis court, basketball court, inground pool, and just a peaceful, quiet atmosphere all around, not to mention plenty of parking. We are very close to the highway and downtown Haverhill is just down the street. There is also Bradford Ski, plenty of golf courses, bowling, Cedarland Family Fun Center, and many other fun activities for all ages all within close proximity. In short, we have loved our stay at Forest Acres and would highly recommend this beautiful setting to anyone looking to rent in the area.

Rules are made for a reason
In response to the person's irate response in needing a pool pass! I have been a resident for five years and enjoy living at Forest Acres. I also as believe that the ladies in the office are efficient and do their job to the best of their ability. Bottom Line there were numerous postings about getting new pool passes as well as letters sent to each individual apartments - Maybe this person does not read thier mail???? I also had two friends come to visit and the pool was not crowded I asked for a third guest to attend (when the rule is two) I was told No -I did not get upset. Rules are rules - Follow them - it seems to me that the person who posted the last comment regarding the pool passes believes rules are not meant for them!!!

Rude and unprofessional office worker Marie
i have been a tenant for one year and just renewed my lease much to my regret. On a Sunday in early july i decided to invite my dad up to use the pool, which in the past year I had used only once. When i arrived i presented the young woman working there with two passes, mine and a guest pass for my dad. She told me that they were last years passes and i needed to get new passes from the office and the office was closed on Sunday.I asked her if i could be admitted that I was unaware that I needed a pass and I would get one ASAP. She asked Marie who is an office staff person who was lounging by the pool if it was OK. Marie shook her head no. I left angrily and returned to question her irrational decision since the pool was not overly crowded. She proceeded to tell me I knew that I needed a passBut chose to not get one!!!!! I was astounded by her twisted thinking and responded If I Knew I Needed a Pass I Would Have Got One. I will make sure everyone i know hears this story and stays clear of the small minded control freaks that are employed here

Terrific Place to Live
I have lived at Forest Acres for the past 4 1/2 years. It is quiet, neighbors are friendly, the hallways and laundry rooms are kept clean. The swimming pool in the summertime is a great bonus!!! All the workers at Forest Acres are super!!! The ladies in the office are terrific, they always listen to what the resident needs. The men who keep up the grounds are not only friendly and nice but are on top of snow removal like nothing I have ever seen. I have family and friends who have visited for Holidays and other family get togethers and they always comment on how nice the grounds are and how nice it is that the parking lots are plowed. The ladies who clean and vacuum the hallways and clean the laundry room are great.!!! If there is ever a time that something needs to be taken care of and it may have been overlooked or not noticed, the office is a phone call away not to mention it is on site so if there is ever a problem u just Mention it to Marie or Pauline and they get it taken care of immediately. I have called the office for maintenance requests numerous times from a garbage disposal reset to having mantenance un hooking my stove so i can clean no matter how small or big the request it is done in quick time. There is no waiting 2 months, 3 days etc it is done that day or at the latest the following business day. I love living here and would reccomend it to anyone looking to move. I have lived in an apartment before moving here and the landlord was not on top of things atb all. It is very refreshing to live at an apatrment complex where the people are not only human, friendly and nice but they CARE!!!! Thank you FOREST ACRES for making my living here so wonderful!!! Happy New Year!!!

Cannot describe the ANGER I have living here.
This place is a dump, rude maintenance staff!
Very poor quality heating and A/C.The front room is fine with heat or a/c.The back bedrooms get almost none of it so it's always VERY cold or hot in those spaces depending on the season. I have a problem during the summer with WASPS coming in through my ducts. I’m talking ATLEAST Three or Four a day!!!My downstairs neighbors are obviously from India because I can smell their CURRY!! On a DAILY basis penetrating through the my floor (their ceiling) It has actually stained my carpeting with the stench and my wife and I won't even put our new baby on the floor in that room because it’s so disgusting. I WILL BE LEAVING WHEN MY CONTRACT IS UP. If you have any class whatsoever and want a nice quite NICE SMELLING place save yourself the misery and go somewhere else. This was by far the WORST renting experience I have ever had, and the last because living here has made me vow to NEVER live in an apartment again!! If you like the smell of nasty --- CURRY that stains your carpet, furniture, and even your clothing!!!! Then come and RENT A PLACE Immediately
very nice place to live
I have been living here at forest acres for three years. Its a wonderful place to live the grounds are kept up well it has a nice big safe park with basketball hoops, a tennis court and a built in swimming pool for kids to play and have fun with their families and friends. The office staff is awesome. They are always so kind, friendly, and helpful. the maintenance department is always busy but they get the job done.Compared to other apartment complexes in the area this is top shelf. As far as neighbors they are great.

I am a resident here and lived her for 14 years. I think the maintanence crew and the office personal are very helpful and when called upon they show up to fix the problems that I have addressed. The parking is much better now before I would come home from work late at night and I could not park in the parking lots now since the new tags I always find a parking space. I would recommend this complex to anyone. Everyone is very helpful and thoughtful.

Ripoff!!!!
Lived here a year, the street lamps were on during day and off at night. Took three calls and a letter to get it fixed. They are also tow happy, it would seem they get a percentage from a local tow company for towing as many of the residents cars as possible. Among other things, broken things in the apartments never get fixed. They get looked at but the leaky pipes, ripped screens, broken balcony doors etc. Don't get fixed. Save your money and get a better apartment. What it costs to live at Forest Acres can finance a house.

Office Staff and maintenance still terrible
Nothing has changed since the last review was written. Still a rude office staff and incompetent maintenance staff. One step above Presidental Apartments which is HUD section 8 housing located next door.

this place is terrible!
i lived here for only 8 months and couldnt WAIT to get out. between the people, the noise, the incompetnet staff (both office and maintenance) i was disgusted! when i first moved in, all seemed quiet, but then i noticed so many vacant units were turning into low income housing which gave the place a whole new atmosphere. many car break ins, music blaring all day long, in different buildings yet it was shaking my walls. maintenance was rude and slow to respond. my oven was lit for over 16 hours and i couldnt get the gas off; when i called the "24 hour maintenance" and he finally arrive HOURS later, he was annoyed he had to come on a sunday. then i waited 3 months for a part to get my stove to actually work! just one thing after another there. i pity whoever decides to live here. its disgusting. (and a heads up on getting your security deposit back...regardless of the fact it says "within 30 days of vacating tenancy", be prepared to wait a few months)

I lived at Forest Acres for 2 years. At the time, I was not happy with the conditions, but now that I have expereinced other complexes in the area, I can say that Forest Acxres isn´t that bad.
The units are very roomy for the price. The decor is dated in many of the units (I had brown shag carpeting); and the deck areas are not that new either.
Overall, it was a quiet complex.
Maintenance wasn´t that fast in fixing problems, but they usually did get around to it.
This is one of the cheapest bets for this area, and it´s certainly not the worst.

I´ve lived here for 3 years, and the place is just what I´ve needed. Decent apartment, nice grounds, and they do fix things fairly quickly when they break.
