This community is wonderful. I have had a great experience during the few years I have lived here in this community. My only issue with the community is the usage of cigarettes along with other drugs inside of apartments. I am unaware whether the usage occurs inside of the apartments or in the hallways, but sometimes there is an Odor of marijuana. Also I am unsatisfied with the increase of rent yearly.

The people that work here are very friendly and helpful. Any time I had an issue someone was always willing to help. The maintenance staff was at my apartment the same day I put in a request. I was impressed by their promptness.

Horrible, once this place was bought by Princeton properties in the summer of 2017, the quality of everything went down. They only care about money. They fired the staff that had been working there for years and replaced them with rude people who don't know what they are doing. Also, all of the old tenants they are making reapply to live there in order to charge higher rents, looking for any excuse to remove old tenants as well. All the people that I have known lived there for many years are all moving out.

Moved in here with girl friend. First thing I noticed was rotting wood on buildings. Alll the doors still have old door knobs with keys required. The carpeting in the hall way is filthy. The hallway and entranceway smell horrible. Even though no one smokes in her apt it smells like a dirty ash tray. People are smoking all around in other Apts and it is coming into hers and her bedroom all the time. Totally disgusting and gross. I just sold my house so had to move here. Thank God her lease ends in Oct. We can't wait to get out of here. It's like living in the slums. A real ---- hole. Also note they had a major fire here two yrs ago from a smoker and they still allow it. Sad and disgusting. They should pay us to live here.

I have lived at Forest Acres for 3 years. I have called and asked to have the bird droppings removed from my children's window and they said they needed to see. I waiting almost 2 weeks for a light bulb for my dining area. The bath tub surround has been previously painted and the paint comes off when the kids take a bath. I asked for them to repaint it or something and they said that they would evaluate it and let me know if they were going to do anything at all about it. I asked to have them repair my apartment door locks and they have yet to do it. I still have to fight with the lock to get out of the apartment. The lovely pool that they have good luck getting passes for anyone to go during the day like the babysitter during the summer. They said that they had too many people going to the pool and couldn't make any exceptions but yet the pool is empty most days. I asked to have the carpets cleaned or replaced when my lease came up for renewal the last time, they said that they would have to look at it and decision but they said no - when clearly it needs it. I am moving out I hope that you stay clear the apartments aren't worth the headaches that they come with. Neighbors complain about you dropping a dish because there is no insulation between you and them. The AC unit runs all the time and my electric bill is INSANE. The laundry area is in another building and there is bird droppings all inside the walkway.

I have lived at Forest acres for several years. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the entire staff could not have been more courteous and efficient. I had a great building number 25 and all of the neighbors were very considerate and respectful. I only moved because I found a house I could not pass up. Excellent storage for all your needs. I would recommend Forest Acres without reservation. I will miss the place!!

I lived at Forest Acres from late summer 2013 to late summer 2014. As to the other reviews I would have to agree as they all seem to be very accurate. In regards to noise me and my girlfriend were on a top floor apartment so the noise was not a huge concern but could easily imagine how others could have problems. The walls are very thin so any noise period could easily be heard from other apartments. It didn't bother us much but we could hear people using the bathroom downstairs or watching TV at night. The grounds are sort of kept up but to the bare minimum. Grass is cut and the most obvious bushes and shrubs are trimmed. Anything beyond 5 feet from sight however is overgrown or in desperate need of maintenance. Building appearances I would have to say are kept to the same standards, numerous missing shingles and rotten trim. The halls have dirtyish yellowish walls and carpets, they do try and vacuum but you can only try to clean the carpets so much. The apartments really need some updating. The hallways are very run down and just paint and new carpeting could make huge improvements. The constant smell of cigarette smoke and other odors were always prominent when walking through the hallways. Upon seeing our new apartment, fresh paint was obvious but literally every piece of hardware was simply painted over, aka window sills that should not be for the metal trim and all door hinges. Lighting was mediocre at best in the parking lot. The Neighborhood was pleasant on most days but the sound of loud exhaust and people outside playing could be seen as bothersome to most. Our neighbor used to smash a hard ball off the side of the wall. It was so loud that we couldn't go into our bedroom until they were done. You couldn't really complain because we were afraid of the backlash. The maintenance staff was quick to resolve issues that were able to be fixed. However the shower situation after several attempts could not be resolved. Was told after 3 attempts the water problem which in the colder months there was NO hot water, that there was nothing wrong. The only answer we could be told was that we were taking a shower when everyone else was. Also was told at least a few times to hear for when others are taking a shower and try to plan our usages around this. Unless you take a shower in the middle of the night or day in the colder months taking a hot shower trying to get ready for work is near impossible. The water will either be warm at best or freezing cold. The water system in the building we were in was so poor and under such load getting hot water would of been like winning the lottery. If having your shower turn to ice water probably 4-6 times in a matter of 8 minutes bothers you I would consider another apartment. My girlfriend would turn the water on in the morning, go have breakfast, then get in the shower. The basement where the storage is made my girlfriend feel very unsafe. Some of the storage spaces were boarded off and you couldn't see inside them and the light was on a timer so it would shut off by itself when you were putting your clothes in the laundry. The laundry was in the basement. Also, they never cleaned the dryers and we were always scared that they would catch on fire, it was a total fire hazard. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. The rent is very affordable for the space you get but it comes with such costs that its unbearable. I wish I had more positives things to say about Forest Acres but there are really only a few good points and the low rent and location are probably the only two.

I am a current tenant at Forest Acres. Here is an honest review - I know some buildings might be better for sound quality than others and nicer neighbors..etc. There are things I like and things I dislike. I like the office staff, Marie is wonderful - yes she has a colorful personality but has a kind heart as long you do what you are supposed to as a tenant (IE dont park next to a fire hydrant!) because they do enforce towing on the main streets of the complex Likes: 1) Office staff 2) Close to my work 3) Dunkins right across the street and a 7 Eleven, bowling, pizza/chinese (mediocre) 4) Nice pool - lots of rules but otherwise good 5) tennis court/basketball court- not maintained well but its there 6) overall the people that live here are pretty nice and they have some fun activities for people to get together and involve kids which is nice 7) maintenance staff is pretty timely, when something breaks you can call outside of business hours and generally get help within the day or a few days and they are fairly nice 8) storage unit..nothing fancy just chicken wire but good to have the option 9) they issue newsletters every season w/ some tips/reminders Dislikes 1) Assigned parking - not for all units but for me yes...its quite a pain as the lot is only for tenants yet many days there is no parking in the lot as visitors park there and it is very difficult to work around this as the tenant parking is NOT enforced at all...and you only get one assigned #...so this is a pain point for me as when I come home from work or late from a friends house I want to be able to park with no difficulty instead of hunting down street parking on the complex 2) NOISE- I can hear everything the neighbor to the left is doing and the bottom. The neighbors shower next to us is extremely loud...it sounds like my shower is on but nope just the neighbor - NO NOISE BARRIERS..Very loud. 3) showers are AWFUL. This is an area I dislike very much about Forest Acres. If someone flushes their toilet or turns their shower on while you are showering (and of course you can hear them doing it as plumbing is so loud) you better jump out the way...and get ready for a cold shower and if you are lucky you may be able to maintain warm water but not always the case. Ive been told for the last maybe 8 months they are going to fix it but they are waiting for the owner to approve...not going to happen! 4) Only one 1 laundry unit in entire building but others have more..some have none so be sure you know what you fall into 5) LAUNDRY CARD...the system is a card that you put money onto with a machine next to the office. This machine is one of the most finecky machines..only accepts cash and i should say the cash should be perfectly non-wrinkled as otherwise you will have a hard time getting money, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt...very tempermental laundry machine, wish they had something easier to use but if anything happens with the card/cash staff is very helpful...the strip on the card also seems to start going after about a year ALL in all I would not reccomend Forest Acres - it is affordable but if you are one who likes quiet, no hassle parking, easy laundy access I would ensure you ask questions during the leasing process to ensure you understand what building you are moving into as some people here are in a quieter building with nicer plumbing/no assigned parking

I am currently a tenant here in Forest Acres and I must say is the worst place to live that the grounds are dirty everything is dirty because they don't do nothing about anything they don't fix any issues dogs aren't allowed yet there's a whole bunch of ppl who have dogs there was once a dead groundhog floating in the pond we called the office for 1 month straight to get removed because of the smell of decomposition you think they removed no instead maintenance just drove with their atvs around the pond didn't even get off the damn thing that animal stay in there till it was completely dissolved (2.5) months parkings is also an issue to you have decals in your car so you can be guaranteed a parking spot but yet you really don't have an resident parking because people can just park in and out and they don't do nothing a about it they have a towing company that no longer works for them so if you get home and there's no parking your out luck!!!!!! and try calling the office about good luck with that also there's been bird crap on our front entrance pic bellow we called 1 month ago about it it's still there so I don't recommend this place for anybody you will be disappointed.

We had looked for apartments for about 2 months before we found this great place. The staff assisted us with every question we had about the apartment. The amenities are great!! Although you don't get to see the apartment you are actually renting, it did not turn us away from giving it a try. The noise levels were very low and we could barely hear our neighbors (they had two small kids). We loved the central air and the fact that we could bring our two cats. The pool in the summer is a plus. They have grills and tables around the grounds so you can have a BBQ since grills are not allowed on the 2nd floor units. You can have your own grill on the 1st floor apartments. This was our only issue as we lived on the second floor and our downstairs neighbor would grill almost everyday during the nicer weather and the smells gets everywhere :/. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment.

We moved in about a week ago and everything has been awesome ! When we first chose forest acres we did not get to view the apartment before moving in . This made us extremely nervous due to the horrible experiences we have had with apartments in the past . The office staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home . When we got into the apartment it was by far the cleanest I have seen for a move in !! The rug was brand new and they even left us an extra piece to put infront of the door for shoes . I could not find a single thing wrong and believe me I looked . I want to thank the office staff especially a woman Marie for being so kind and helping us feel welcome ! I would recommend this place ! So quiet too !

We have lived at Forest Acres for a year now. My family and I are very happy here. Any employees I have dealt with from the lifeguards, building cleaners, maintenance , and office staff have been helpful and professional. We take pride in our home and do what we can to add beauty to the area. We have a lovely garden we were allowed to grow, we keep our deck clean at all times and decorate appropriately for holidays and seasons. Considering the tough winter we had I give a shout out to the maintenance staff for clearing the walks, lots, steps and having plenty of salt available. Anytime we have needed help , the staff at Forest Acres has been there for us. Love living here, have made some nice friendships with neighbors and hope to be here for a long time. We can't really comment on other renters reviews as I don't seem to live in a building like they describe. But home is what YOU make it. Great job shout out to everyone on staff!! Hope corporate sees this :)

I have lived at Forest Acres for 6 years. I am ashamed of the property. If someone comes to pick me up, I stand at the end of the street in order for them not to see where I live. I keep my apartment neat, but the outside looks like a dump. Poor upkeep of grassed areas. When they mow the grass, the clippings are left behind to be accumulated over and over again. The parking is a nightmare. Assigned parking is only for a few buildings. People abuse the policies by putting their permit tags on other cars, The assigned parking is okay for 1 car, but as most people have 2 cars, it's a shamble. They expect the tenant to call the towing company if there is an issue. The outside of the buildings are a mess. The hallways need painting and upkeep. The office staff are no help. I do have to say, the maintenance staff are very nice. I am saving to purchase a home and to get out of this place. Totally do not recommend. You get what you pay for. Look elsewhere!!

What a joke and what a dump! For starters, My husband and I upon receiving the keys did a walk through and made sure the apartment was clean. NOPE...We found not 1, but 2 hypodermic needles stashed in our bathroom above the mirror. The office treated like this is something that happens all the time. Our upstairs neighbor beats on his girlfriend..but she lets him back in anyway... We have complained to the office only to be told a notice will go out. When it does, my neighbor vindictively stomps around for a week to make the point that she can do whatever she damn well pleases. Walls are thin! You can hear a conversation clear as day from another apartment! Taking a shower is a joke and a half! It's either ICE ICE ICE cold, or too hot to stand in. We honestly cannot wait to move. Worst mistake moving in here! What a SLUM!

You can hear everything your neighbor does and in my case they were VERY loud and obnoxious. Staff didn't do anything even after my multiple complaints. Music so loud things were falling off my walls. There is one washer and one dryer for 12 apartments. Neighbors would take your things out of the washer and leave them on top of the dryer. It was just a horrific year and couldn't wait until my lease was up.

Great place to live. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Very quit well worth money. Great schools in area. Buses pick up close to home great in cold weather Down fall not all buildings have a landry facility. Never had to wait to long to get a washer or drier. Lighting in parking lots not very good. Tons of parking on site not necessary near building.

Don't look further...You are home
My family and I have lived at Forest Acres since early 2011 and haven't had any complaint. Our unit is spacious, well laid, and very convenient. Visitors who have come here so far have only good things to say. One of them is a real estate agent and he was very impressed! The price is right, the neighbors are considerate, maintenance is right there when needed, and the office ladies are very professional and friendly. Cooking gas, heat, water, and gabbage is included in the rent --$1,045 a month--and you only need to pay for your electricity, which is about $40 a month for us. We had really looked for a cheap and convenient place to live, but didn't look further when we saw Forest Acres. We are enjoying the much needed privacy, safety, ample parking, walk-in closet and spacious spaces, free storage area, park, pond, huge pool, and the tennis and basketball court. What's more, we are allowed a grill! We could never be happier. My advice, dont look further because if it meets your needs, Forest Acres is the right place for you.

Great Apartment Complex
I have been living at Forest Acres for some time and would like to start of by saying the that office and maintenance staff ROCKS!!!! The ladies in the office are courteous and very helpful. Maintenance is very prompt when you need a work order done and they get it fixed quickly. My apartment is a great size and I love my building. My neighbors seem to be okay but you know living in an apartment complex you may run into a couple sour tenants but that will happen anywhere you go. If you have a complaint about a tenant the office is right on the issue and will go above and beyond to see what they can do to help with the situation. I also love the fact that I have laundry facilities right in my building that is a great help especially when you have children! The grounds are very well maintained and the buildings are clean. I don't have any issues with parking either which is a plus. I wanted to give the maintenace staff a big high five with all the snow removal this winter they were right on top of it. I have lived in many other complexes and I can not compare them to Forest Acres. This place is wonderful and I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a place to live. Thank you again Forest Acrs for making my living here so wonderful!!!

neighbors s*ck
I've been living here for @4 years and I am the "neighbor from hell" magnet. The first neighbor directly below me wasn't here long, but then came the coke heads. I feared for my life and had to call the cops constantly, not to mention the countless sleepless nights. When the office finally was able to get them evicted (I understand the whole process so know it wasn't their fault, completely), he d@mn near burned the place down when falling asleep cooking something on one of his last nights. I was assured they'd get someone quiet as a mouse in there due to the hell I went through with the prior neighbor. At first, no problem, they were pretty decent and I let out a deep sigh of relief. Well, that didn't last long as one became an insomniac and loved to play "Rock band" on their surround sound t.v. until 2-3 in the morning (work nights included). Now the tool has moved out but the girl apparently lost her hearing and cannot listen to t.v. unless it makes my floor vibrate. That doesn't even count the one's NEXT to me. The last one's had a thing about doing their cleaning only late at night, and on work nights. I think one was OCD as well and was required to turn the water on 50 times an hour for so many hours late at night. They used to do the vacuuming at midnight until a "not so subtle" kick to the wall finally put an end to THAT. Now I've got a young couple that apparently doesn't realize the doors close quite easily by themselves (hint-DON'T NEED TO SLAM THEM, PINHEADS) and also may have a touch of OCD with rituals they must circle the creaky livingroom floors 50 times an hour and inbetween laps, must go into the kitchen and slam each and every cabinet door. I'm thinking of putting hazmat signs on the doors of the apartments below and beside me once these freaks finally leave. Who would blame me?
