After living in my house for 8 years and having to move to an apartment based on personal reasons, I was very concerned of making the transition back to apartment living. Pleasantly surprised, I actually love it! Timberlink's has an awesome staff of caring people and will do everything they can to make your new home a great experience. Although it is a change for me being so close to neighbors, I have met a lot of really nice people. Great amenities for sure! Pool is always clean, great workout facilities available 24 hrs, not to mention a decent golf course out your door. The grounds are kept clean and the office staff/maintenance respond to any issues in a timely manner... The clubhouse is very nice and perfect for any meetings or celebration events you might have. If your looking for an apartment in the Denton Area, I would strongly recommend stopping by and talking to one of the staff members. I have lived a Timberlinks for over a year and just recently moved into one of the largest apartments here because I love it here so much. Before I signed another lease I checked out several other apartment complexes and none of them could match what is available here and the reasonable rent. The floor plans are well thought out with lots of storage area and well maintained. I also love the location with the beautiful, well maintained golf course and sounds of the country at night. The beautiful pool and great fitness room are wonderful too but what I like the most is the staff. They are so helpful and friendly and they put on the best activities for everyone. I am especially grateful for the great maintenance service because they are so quick and professional and go the extra mile to cause the least amount of inconvenience for the tenants. I personally know some police officers and they all tell me this is the best apartment complex in Denton for safety and they rarely ever get calls to come out here. As I live alone feeling safe here is very important to me so I plan to stay.

I lived there for about 6 months and loved it. Very quiet place to live, loved the pool and gym. It was the cleanest place I lived. I moved right when they changed management but my brother stayed. I guess it had gotten pretty bad and now we are still having problems getting our deposit back even though they said they are sending it. The staff was always rude and they have many rules that can make them terminate your lease if you aren't careful. Maintenance always took over a week to get anything done. But it was a beautiful place to live.

I lived there a year and would not recommend it to anyone unless you just enjoy paying a lot money and getting little for it. The list is long, but here is some of it. Walls are thin. Management is rude and I think with a little better attitude, they might be able to work at a fast food establishment. The AC condensate leaked several times inside of my closet. Thank goodness only a towel was ruined and I was promised that it would be replaced. Yea....like that really happened! A hole was cut into my closet to try and repair the leak, but afterwards, I had a fixed condensate leak, but a hole in my closet. Shocker!! A gutter outside my bedroom window was loose and hanging down which kept me awake during windy nights. I think I called and reported it maybe 3 times. Should have probably been 30 times I guess to get it fixed. One morning I was driving out of the parking lot and a young man who was a tenant there almost backed into me and I honked my horn at him. After I passed, he proceeded to drive up on my tail cussing and flipping me off to point that I was trembling. Being a female student at the local college, I realized that this was not the place that I wanted to be. Bottom line.....in an industry where customer service is so important, Timber Links at Denton fails!! I wish that for just once, someone would enjoy doing their job instead of saying "it's not my job!"

If you like to watch tv don't move here !!! The service is awful always freezing and going out !!! Also it's next to a land fill and smell is pretty bad sometimes . Plus they show you this super nice model and it's not what you get . The ac units are way to small for the apartments ! They can't keep your apartment cool in the summer and you freez in the winter. When you call maintenance the repair man just tells you to get curtains .

I lived there four six months because I sold a home and the one I built wasn't ready. I chose Timberlinks because I lived there before and liked it. Jackie and his staff were excellent. The property was just bought by another company and theyre putting money into it. I started to see the improvements before I moved. They have two courtesy officers who watch the property nicely. Cedric and his maintenance staff fixed thing right the first time so you don't have to call the again and again. I'd live there again.

I've lived here 5 years and love it here. Great views (you're on a golf course and it's maintained beautifully). The office staff have always been friendly and professional to me. Great features here too. Big workout room, tanning beds, sauna/whirlpool, huge pool and a huge vending machine (I think it's called 24/7 or something like that). The maintenance here is top notch, too.

I lived at Timberlinks for about 3 years and would recommend them with the caveat that they are the best of a terrible bunch. They are probably better if you are a student and you don't set your hopes too high, but generally I'd rather take a hot-poker in the eye than move back there. I would generally agree with the negative reviews on here. You can tell which are just office-workers shilling for their employer... Seriously look into renting a house nearby, or in the surrounding areas (Krum is close and very cheap, Corinth is close too). If you're a student, there are cheaper options in town for the same experience, save the gas money and extra rent and live close to campus. Pros: Close to denton, pretty well built (structurally), decent grounds (in the springtime), big pool (always full of Bro-dudes), no through-traffic (but tons of tenants/visitors coming and going) Cons: Nearly all students (huge neighbor turnover each semester), no noise enforcement effort (tenants actually set off fireworks at christmas in the parking lot in 2011), TERRIBLE security (I witnessed a car being stolen in broad daylight[2010] and there were regular break-ins [2009-2011]. Check around the parking lots for window glass...), no gates, TERRIBLE TV/Internet service (It was nice up until they switched to Hotwire...), very aggressive rent enforcement (my neighbors were evicted after being 2 weeks late on rent), no covered or assigned parking, no "community" experience (Sponsored events like the DJs and cookouts aren't used to gather feedback from residents. In 3 years, I met 2 out of 12 neighbors in my side of the building...)

I have lived at Timberlinks for over a year and a half in the furnished (Corporate) unit and it has been an excellent experience. The 2 bedroom apartment has been comfortable and quiet. The location has been ideal for me. What really has made the difference has been the management and staff at Timberlinks. They have been helpful and responsive to every request and have gone the extra mile when I had a problem. Jackie and his staff really care about their residents and the facilities. I have greatly appreciated their professional and friendly approach to making my stay at Timberlinks feel like a second home. My thanks to all lthe Timberlinks folks.

I would say overall this is a great place to live. I lived there for two years and had the best neighbors. It seemed like a nice group of people at the apartments. Maintenance was by far the best I have seen and I have four apartments. The cable is mandatory and I didn't watch much television. The staff seemed nice and wanted to help. I did a walk through before I left and was told I needed to repaint or I wouldn't get my deposit back. There was some marks from my bed but I thought that was normal wear and tear. Overall nice place and people.

I just moved in 4 weeks ago. If you enjoy watching TV DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! They, and yes they have a contract with the worst company ever for cable hotwire communcications ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/hotwire-communications-north-miami- just read the reviews. You have no other choice but to get this company and good luck getting them to come out to set up your cable they have missed 3 consecutive ones for me so far. I would not recomend moving here for anyone who wants to watch TV, so far after 4 weeks everything else seems good, and i agree with the maintenance seems to be the best thing going here, he is really good at his job and does things in a timely manner.

I love my apartment! The staff was able to work with my schedule and get me moved in pretty quickly. The storage space is wonderful, my neighbors are super nice and quiet, and I love the location! The mainenence got to my request the same day I called it in, which I was really surprised about because I thought it would take a few days. If the weather is bad sometime the cable goes out, but I previously had Dish Network, which was always going out, so the Directv is a step up for me.

Absolutely Amazing!

Timber Links is an absolutely Beautiful place to live. The apartment are perfect, the amenities are worth the price alone. They are very affordable and the staff is simply increadable. They have a huge pool with a sauna and a hot tub. The weight room is amazing, and the golf course is beautiful. The apartments are very nice with big rooms, an amazing kitchen, and they come with a washer and dryer. I personally have never lived in a nicer place for such a low price. The other tenants are very nice and friendly. I think it is a wonderful place to have your children as well. I am completely sastified. :-)

Great Quality

I've lived at the Timberlinks for 8 months now and have no complaints. Cedric, the maintenance man, has always been more than happy to resolve any problems, and Jackie, the office manager, is easy to contact and very personable. I absolutely love having my own washer and dryer, close (free) parking, high ceilings, etc. The carpet and appliances are clean and new and I've never had any problems with bugs. I also feel very safe here any time of day. Everything's been great! The only problem I've had, is that my bedroom window sits directly next to my neighbors' front door. They stand outside a lot to smoke and every word of their conversations can be heard while I'm trying to sleep. It's a little bothersome, but I think this is the only floor plan (1x1 A) that has that problem. Any noise that they make in their apartment is silenced by the thick walls. A bonus of living in this specific apartment, though, is that my electric bill is never more than $50. That's half the price of my last apartment and they're both the exact same size. For the price, this place is a steal. I love it here.

Management Company is Horrible

I have lived at the Timberlinks apartment complex for 1 1/2 years now and have terminated my lease the first chance I have gotten. I have had numerous problems with the Direct TV Prime cast company and it is ridiculous you pay Timberlinks personally for the service but have to deal with Direct TV yourself to set up service. The service you receive is no more than 20 dollars but forced to pay 48 dollars to Timberlinks. If you want to upgrade you will have to pay more on top of the mandatory 48 dollars. Direct TV took 4 months to actually show up on the correct appoint time to set up service but Timberlines still happily took my 48 dollars a month and would not accommodate or give any back in any way or form. I also signed up for golf that is 50 dollars a month and obviously was not informed completely that once you start you cannot stop the 50 dollars a month because when I expressed that I was not able to use the golf membership they said too bad the 50 will stay on there. Lastly I informed the front office of the resident above me becoming a nuisance being extremely loud and throwing cigarette butts down in front of my apartment on the first floor and no email response/letter/or phone call acknowledging my complaint at all. I told Jackie the property manager this is the worst experience I had ever had and would not recommend this Apartment to anyone, which I am doing to you. Do not attempt to rent at this location it is terrible- refer to other past reviews...I didn t believe them and rented anyways which I regret in full now ---Ryan.

what's it like to live at timberlinks apts.

I have lived here for about 2 1/2 years and have had nothing but great experiences. The company seems to really care about the tenants they have living here. If I ever had any kind of problem with my apartment they always had someone out there almost immediately to correct the problem. The leasing agents have always been friendly and professional. I have recommended this community to anyone that I have ever know that were looking for an apartment. The rental prices are very reasonable and the amenities are great and they have so many to offer that are mostly free of charge. I have lived in many apartments across the country due to my military service and Timberlinks has been one of the best places that I have had the pleasure of living. I recommend Timberlinks to anyone looking for a place to call home.

After living here for 15 months - I feel certain that I experienced the full "monty" of what you will if you decide to lease from these crooks. All is great when you first go to look...very professional. They show you a model that is really nice...offer you all sort of incintives...then when it comes to your actual apt. - it may or may not be so nice. They charge you for pest control - but bugs/spiders run amuck freely! The carpet in my unit was so badly stained/worn out and I marked it as such...no one ever bothered to clean it. When I moved out...they charged me for "cleaning" - even though they offered to do it for free if i resigned another lease. They charged me for cleaning a toilet...I had hired people to come clean the place when i moved. I asked the agent to walk through it "now" when i turned in the keys. He told me they don't do that. Of my $150 deposit - they charged me for a oven - that i never used, the cleaning of the refridge shelves - which was cleaned and a dirty microwave...all cleaned by the cleaning lady before i left. I got $65 back and i am a 'neat freak'....can you say theft! During the time i was there - they allowed a towing company to put stickers on my car - it was inspected and tagged (just bought it so had paper plates)...before the metal tags were in. This was a "fixer-upper" but well within the guidelines. They came into my apt and wrote me a note that said they handed me the note personaly and were going to charge me for the improper installation of the miniblinds....I didn't install them! My son and his friend went down to the pool once with they key chain I.D. that allows them to use the pool - but were chased off because I had not come down with them. Just poor customer service/management style in areas that i could go on about.

Awful.

This apartment complex looks beautiful from the outside and the office staff treats you wonderfully. Until you move in. Then for every little thing you do, you get fined. There are fees for everything when you move out. Everything. The only good thing about this complex was their maintenance workers, they were awesome. I lived here in two different apartments. The first was a good two bedroom, the staff was nice. As soon as I moved into a one bedroom I was treated like scum. Don't live here.

This apartment complex does nothing they say they are going to do. First of all they do not tell you when you sign the lease that their is a $50 cable fee you HAVE to pay whether you use the cable or not, and that is NOT including the monthly fee the cable company charges. Maintenance never answers requests, we pay a monthly bug spray fee and have yet to receive anything. Our apartment is on the second floor and you can hear the downstairs neighbors tv all the time, horrible insulation. Our neighbors are all loud, I expected it to be nice and quiet with all the families but it is not, may be worse than college apartments with all the noise. The rent is way too high for the quality of the apartments. When we moved into our unit you could tell the unit had not been cleaned at all, we had a huge stain in our bedroom. All in all I would not recommend this complex to anyone I am very disappointed and can not wait until my lease is over!
