Caveat Emptor

In early May 2022, I submitted a 1250.00 deposit with an application for an apartment for my daughter. They did not have a two bedroom available, I have tried unsuccessfully for 5 months to get my deposit back, all I have received is lies upon lies about it being mailed out. The management team at this complex are highly incompetent and are unethical. They basically stole my deposit and have failed to respond to repeated requests to have it returned.

I would not recommend for anyone to live here….the office staff are rude and ignorant. The manager has been noted to speak I’ll of other residents. I spent 15 minutes at the office waiting for someone to show up. Every computer was open to private information, no office doors were locked. I have a video of it! Our own manager has even lost her home because she didn’t pay her mortgage! That sends a huge message to residents! If the property owners don’t care, why should anyone else…..

Apartment grounds need attention. Staff could use a bit more professionalism. On a positive side, agent Hailey is kind and understanding of my needs. Whenever I come into the office, she is there to greet me with a smile and asks how I am and if there is anything she can do to help me. To be honest with you, I look for her whenever I have a question.

My experience hasn’t been great by any means. Waking up and going to work and smelling all of the dog ---- in front of the apartment isn’t a wonderful thing. The main office told me they would get back with me on the issue I had with losing over $300+ of groceries because the apartments refrigerator broke, they never did. Having loud neighbors and smelling people smoke weed in and around the apartments isn’t great either since I have a 8 month old daughter.

Horrible. Nightmare. Costly. Staff is immature. No notes. No communication. Water stinks. They don’t care when their actions cost you time & money. (They “don’t work around residents time” even when it’s an emergency. Even when it’s been almost 2 weeks. They play the blame game. Mangers offer to fix the situation was to “buy us dinner” when I’m out almost 1k because of groceries going bad & time off of work to accommodate them.

Very quiet, safe, and outside the city gives it a peaceful feel. The pool is great, when it's open and the fitness room is open 24/7 with adequate equipment and an updated feel. The staff is generally helpful. The front office has a lovely work area.

Over priced for the quality and up keep of the facility. Amenities continually have issues. Golf coarse was sold as free with a cart fee for residents, that is not true. Submitted insurance prior to moving in and have paid for insurance on monthly rent too. Again unacceptable management.

This place was amazing the first few years. But with all the staff changes and lack of consequences on the dog poop problem, maintenance staff blowing off requests, or other concerns like the office randomly being closed with no note or email, it’s made me consider moving for the first time. This place used to feel like heaven. I miss that. Also the rent has gotten out of control.

So far all is good. The Staff are great, there seems to be a lot of improvements going on around the community. Thankful for the online portal as it makes things easy to report/track maintenance issues. The Community wall is also a great thing to see what’s happening in/around the community be it negative or positive information.

Personable leasing staff and responsive maintenance staff. The grounds are maintained well, as well as are the buildings. The staff hold regular community building events, which is nice for many of us who are a little isolated. By the way, my maintenance requests are typically addressed in a day, and they do a wonderful job.

Poor communication skills, maintenance issues rarely get solved if they even show up. After work is attempted the mess is never cleaned. After they start working they leave and don't finish the job while leaving behind a mess and do not let us know what is happening and if there will be follow up work. Very disappointed.

Timberlinks is a very nice apartment community. The staff are very professional, plus living here comes with golf club benefits. The residents are generally respectful and the community feels safe, which is a real benefit for anyone who works from home.

Since Jessica crew has left, the front office people have no concern for the residents. So it appears that way. It appears as if they will say anything to get you off the phone and out of they face so they can get back on their phones. It’s a simple request change the exterior light bulb to a lamp post so families can see our night. But nobody cares about what happens after 5pm because they go home, well we are home and we would like to be able to see at night.

The community has always been very friendly. I feel safe when I go for walks with my baby daughter, and love seeing the kids that live around the complex playing. It makes it feel more like a neighborhood!

I do really love the environment! My husband and I feel safe taking walks through the golf course and there is always parking in front of our unit. The new paint looks great and updated! We have a non updated unit and its well kept

So far it's been a great experience at timberlinks, neighbors have been great the office staff is top notch, signing up and moving in was a breeze and they made the whole experience a breeze. Best apartment I've lived in so far.

I have been living in the Timberlinks of Denton since 2004. The honest truth is I have never had any issues I've never been neglected. This property is the best I've seen which accommodates most families needs. The one issue I have is the $35.00 per month amenity fee. The senior citizens that live here, but DO NOT use the facility for such should not be charged. That's all I've got to say about that!

I never worry when I have a maintenance problem because they are always so efficient and quick with their work. Ive heard horror stories from other friends who live at different complexes in Denton and never had a problem here! Love the Timberlinks life!

Quiet and well kept, nicely built buildings and the size and layout of the apartments is great. Nice paths for walking dogs and the gym and pool area is clean and has a good variety of equipment and features.

Timberlinks is a great community for all ages if youre in college or if you are looking for a place to retire to. Family friendly and even has a space for your fur babies to play. Great amenities and friendly staff.

Nice & quiet place to live, for the most part! Grounds could be kept up a little better, maintenance needs to clean up after themselves, lol, but they DO get the work done in a timely manner. I've been here for years, in the same apartment, it's very quiet on the backside facing the golf course, I can't speak for the apts facing the parking lot. When Texas went through the deep freeze in February of this year, our complex did not lose power, like so many others I heard about. (I think it's because we're close to 2 hospitals, tbh). The internet is generally good to ok here, but when it's down, it's a pain. If you're looking for something like Fios speeds, forget it. Evidently, they're locked into a forever-plan with this tiny company, so buyer beware. Great neighbors, in general, but I don't think they use the pool like so many neighboring people, not from this complex, but everyone has the code to get in, so i just don't go up there. The staff is great, and friendly, but you will probably have to walk to the office if you need something, they do not normally answer the phone. I don't golf, but they have a decent course, and a pro shop & beer girls, from what I've heard. Oh, & they have a gym and a sauna and a jacuzzi, i think--but the AC in the gym has never worked for more than a couple months, to my knowledge. OVERALL, it is a very nice place to live, with decent people, that are normally very quiet, and respectful. This is a pet friendly community with a dog park, and most people DO clean up after their animals, but as with any other community, you'll find there are those few that never do, unfortunately. Our apartment was filthy when we moved in. Even though I told Stephanie the assistant manager she made no effort to have it cleaned. The lease says we will get fined if we don't have it clean when we move. Hypocrites. The bathrooms, the utilities room all dirty, with grape pop spills. Rusty sinks. Stove had grease and grime build up. I told management that there is grape pop spilled down the water heater, and she said "oh we don't clean the water heater". Walls are thin. Neighbors had a Great Dane who had separation anxiety and would bark all day and sometimes to 3am. I called the courtesy officer 10 times, I went up to the office at least 10 times, I called and emailed more. Nothing was done until I said I would call the owners at Grey Star. Remove management and the employees start over with folks who actually care. The inside is very dated. The only reason the spent so much on the outside is because the golfers can see it.
