What a great experience
I have recently moved to the Houston Area. I searched all the local apartments in the area and I feel I have found them best place to call home. I moved in 3 months ago and I love it! I am sad to read what other are putting on this site. I have had many great incounters with the the leasing staff, maintenance staff as well as the manager. I recently had a birthday and I received a birthday card in the mail. Its been very pleasent this far.

Great Maintenance crew but below average office staff and management
I've been living here for quite some time now. The opinion is consistent with that of my neighbor's. The maintenance crew is great and respond promptly whereas the office staff is rude and lack any sense of customer service.

Great Experience
I have had a great experience living at Vintage Park this last year. I have an F unit which is an incredible use of space and great amenities, such as his and hers mirrored closets, an island kitchen, spacious living areas, and granite surfaces in kitchen and bathrooms. They had a great special running when I signed my lease and the price is incredible for the amount of space. I have heard parking is an issue if you live near the back of the building, but up front I have never had any problems finding a close space. I am so sad to leave my unit, but I am relocating out of town and have not found anything nearly as nice as Vintage Park for such a great price.

Pretty Satisfied
First of all, in the defense of Vintage Park, where in the world will you find an apartment that is just emaculant!? Noise is expected living in an apartment building, if you have bugs maybe you should consider cleaning up after yourself better, and parking is horrible everywhere you go unless your willing to pay $50 extra a month to have your own "assigned" parking spot. I have lived at Vintage Park for almost a year now and must say that I am very pleased with my apartment and the ammenities here as well. This is by far the best apartment I've had since I moved to Houston 5 years ago. The staff is very friendly and always helpful when I have ever needed anything, and the place is kept up very well outside. Yes living on the 1st or 2nd floor can be noisy from the person upstairs but that is anywhere you live at. I love the gym, I think the pool is amazing, and I think that the price I pay for my appartment is exceptional. I am always excited to have guests over so that they may see my luxorious home and they are always impressed as well. I must say I am satisfied and look forward to living here another year!

Definitely not worth the price
This place is definitely not worth the price and its got the worst management. Please be careful about what you are signing up for before taking up a lease here as the management is absolutely not helpful once they get you to sign the lease. Some of the floor plans are just crappy, I am just waiting for my lease term to end to get the hell out of ths place. The Lakes at Cypresswood is a much better place to be living in.

Meh, they're okay.
I have lived in Vintage Park for almost a year now and I am not renewing my lease. While these apartments look nice, I've had many issues since moving in. The first thing I noticed was the parking and entryways. Cars are parked at every entryway so when you move in you have to maneuver your furniture around them, not to mention around the posts between cars. I ended up having to drag my big screen TV through the mud since it was raining the day I moved in. I've also had issues with bugs. I get many notes from management saying that pest control comes on certain days but I see no proof of it. I see spiders constantly and every few days bugs come up the drain through my bathtub. By far, the biggest issue I have with this place is the neighbor noise! DO NOT PICK A BOTTOM FLOOR IN THESE APARTMENTS!! You can literally hear everything that goes on upstairs and it sounds even magnified in the apartments below. I've lost many precious hours of sleep not just from the noise of my neighbors, but then trying to relax again once if finally stops. The last issue is the office manager, Terri. When I complained to her about my neighbors she was very cold and rude. She implied that I was the one with the problem and that the neighbors had told her they weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. The situation eventually got resolved but not with the kind of customer service I would expect from a luxury apartment complex. One more thing I'd like to point out... READ YOUR LEASE! It is written into the lease that if you're 1 day late on your rent it automatically goes up to "market value", whatever that may be at the time. For me it would have been an extra $200 a month for a one bedroom. I will say that the appliance package is nice (except the freezer is way too small), The ceilings are high, the crown molding looks nice, I love the kitchen counter, and the community gym is wonderful. The pool is very pretty too. And Sarah, who works in the office is very sweet. Btw, I was forced to choose in this review whether or not I would recommend this community to a friend. I chose yes, but it's a reluctant yes. I couldn't say no outright because it's a good value for the money as long as you know what you're getting into. I didn't.

DO NOT LIVE HERE ... TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! TERRIBLE!!
This place is beautiful and spacious. The outside is well kept and the apartments are luxurious. HOWEVER, the management is the worst! There are so many people "working" inside of the building and no one in the guard shack ... my neighbors car got stolen from the property and the management said "oh sorry, but we have cameras" yea no the cameras are so cheap they could only see that a white SUV took it. There is underaged drinking at the pool every single day and all through the night. I have been sexually harassed by the same underaged drinker, I told the office and the onsite cop and no body did anything about it so i couldnt even swim in the pool. one time i went down to the pool with a few friends because the boy wasnt there, but the office failed to mention that they have a new rule for the pool: you must have a pool pass or you will get into trouble with the cops. so not only could i not go down to the pool without getting sexually harassed, i was also questioned and kicked out of my own pool by a cop!! the management is very unorganized, rude, obnoxious, and disrespectful. They charge you without representation of what youre being billed even after you move out. This is the worst living experience i have ever had. The parking is soooo bad that i actually had to park probably once a week on the other side of the property. You can hear your nextdoor neighbors even if you are in the master bedroom. Lights in the hallways and stairwell outside are burnt out, sometimes the parking lights dont come on. If its not august (the busy new resident month) then the pool and hot tub lighting does not come on ever.

The accomadations do not work
This complex is not as nice as it seem. The beautiful amenities like barbque pits do not work and have not work almost all the time. The lights around the pools water fountain that use to turn different colors are out.The office says it is waiting for parts. That was 3 months ago and still waiting. The fireplace outside does not work. This was one amenity I found useful when I sign my lease last winter. The pool furniture needs a good cleaning. Not too mention the young adults that smoke around the pool and dispose their cigarette buds on the ground in the pool area. That whole pool area can use a good pressure wash.

Not a good place for a family.
Consider these things first. While the apartments look great on the outside and upon looking at the models are very nice, they are fake. There is always something that needs to be fixed or call the exterminator. The workmanship of the people fixing the problems is poor, we have to call multiple times, and they don't always come out to fix the problem. They take at least 3 days before they come out to fix something, and when they finally get out they always say they don't have the parts. The noise is moderate. The people always walk in the middle of the parking lot instead of using the sidewalks. No one picks up their dog poo. Lots of residents have dogs. The staff is less than friendly, they always seem annoyed when we need to call the office. Also if you have them walk your dog or do maintenance they do not leave an invoice saying they came, so you have no idea if they actually did come. All parking is covered at no extra charge, but sometimes it can be hard to get a parking space close to your apartment, we frequently need to park around the corner. There is no extra storage on the patio. Sometimes we can here other people talking in their apartments. The grounds are so well maintained that they are ALWAYS mowing or pressure washing something outside our window!! Very bad if you have kids who still take naps. There are no mature trees and the pool and play ground get no shade at all.

In response to tiredofbadpeople on 8/11/09 "Seriously people grow up"
Really tiredofbadpeople?? You want to talk about how im uneducated because I used profanity. And you point out that I misspelled wonderful when you are putting the word a lot (alot) and verbiage as (verbage) amd disgust as (dicust) .yea nice one you ----. And I had been there for 2 years when I moved in. No ---- Sherlock there are not 2 years leases. If YOU were educated you should have common sense by my response that the place was very nice when we first moved in which is why we renewed out lease for an additional year. Then the new management came in and it all went down hill from there. And no one is scared living in the apartment, we don t need the guard there, we would like them there because of the feeling of security. Get this you know guards they roam around the complex right so the people that had their car broken into .yea probably wouldn t have happened. And ohhhhhh mannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all a sudden have an educated person here because they read the paper lol. Nice! And I obviously don t represent a small percentage of unhappy people there because it has a 49% approval rating. Which means 51% don t approve. In case you don t realize what that means .i am part of the minority of the people that are unhappy.

Don't Move Here!
Even though this place is really REALLY nice, the office staff is horrific! Some of the girls seem great, but none of them are on the same page and the turnover is consistent. I've been in about 4 times in the last 3 months and I swear there are new people every time I go. Not that that is a bad thing, but I would really like to speak to the same person at least once! This last time we decided, after hearing the apartments we pretty cheap (1000 ish), to go ahead and apply. When we went in, we spoke to a different woman and she began to quote us on the apartment we were looking at for 1579 vs. the 1025 price we got the day before! I was so confused I didn't know what to say! She went and talked to her manager and got the price down to 1099 but didn't even ask us if that was ok. My fiance and I were sitting there baffled!! Everything the girl told us the day before about the application fee, deposit amount and ANY other amount, were wrong. I don't know if this is their way of doing business, but for a luxery apartment complex, I was pretty stunned about how it was being run. I've looked at a million different apartments in the area and though this one is super nice and convenient, it is NOT worth moving into!! Look somewhere else!

Seriously People Grow Up
I am so taken back by the nit pick reviews that I have read about this apartment community. I am not part of management, nor a resident and do not have any personal investment into Vintage Park. First of all management is not a baby sitter!! If you have a problem with issues at the pool call the POLICE. Gates are mechanical and they break... who breaks the gates??? Residents and their guests! Management would probably be nicer if residents like you all were not beating them down constantly. Put yourself in their shoes. What would you do? I havent read any reviews with suggestions. Seriously, crimes happen EVERYWHERE! Do you honestly think that a crook can't get into an apartment gate? Do you not watch the news? Stand up face the facts "It's Apartment Living". If you are not happy then MOVE! Like many of you have said "there are better places out there". Why havent you got off your butts and packed up??? Oh wait... you don't have time... Well you have time to blog about your petty issues online. All I have to say is SERIOUSLY! What if there was an online blog about your place of employment and bloggers were smearing your name all over the internet? I wonder if you even think about the domino effect you are causing by deminishing the good name of Vintage Park! If you people are not happy then you should seek therapy. Today we are facing an economic crisis. Are you able to lay your head down at night and get a good night sleep knowing you have trashed mouthed another human being that's out there just trying to make it in this world!!! If I had to guess I would say that you are a spoiled brat, bearly off mamma's "you know what" and are pissed off that you are not living in a perfect world. Oh yea let's talk about mamma's... What if it were YOUR MAMMA managing the property... hmmmmmm... would you feel the same way? What if the folks working for management lose their job because of the property's performance? Would you be ok with yourself knowing that you contributed to their termination? Think about what you write people, it's an apartment complex with hundreds of residents that live in a time where they belive that the world owes them something! We don't owe you a thing! Nothing. Wheather you live at Vintage Park or somewhere else you would still have some type of complaint. Well here's some advise; KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! As my mother always said "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Signed, Fed up with Residents online crap about apartments. HA! HA! HA! Car broken into
I have only been living in these apartments two months. Moved here because I felt I would feel safe it being a gated coummunity. I also thought they had some kind of security at the front gate at times. My car is normmaly parked right in front of my ground apartment. It ia a convertible and someone cut the top and broke into it and stole a brief case that had a lot of personal id information along with credit card statments, etc, in it. I was told by another tenant that a bunch of teenagers ran around the property at night. The property is so beautiful and I loved my own apartment. But also I see that a lot of drinking and partying goes on just a bout every day at the pool and pool area. Glass bottles are supposedly not allowed at the pool but it is a constant sight to see them every day. It would be awful if a bottle was broke and got into the pool and injured a child. I think Management needs to be a little more responsible in insuring that all rules and regulations are abided by and provide more security for their residents. You would think for hte amount of rent charged, the caliber of people would be different.............Also, the security gate has been broke more often than working since I have moved in. This property needs HELP fast! Disappointed Resident

Reply to "Cole's" dim-witted response of 7-15-09
Cole, Well, duh!!! Who posts blogs as a method of solving a problem... Of course I addressed my issues with the apartment community management. As a matter of fact, I filed a formal, written complaint -- and because of the constant turnover they continue to claim "ignorance" and blame the problem on the other folks. This is NOT "unbased frustration." This is simply a personal goal to get the word out to others in hopes that I can "deter future business for this community." When you don't know what the hell you're talking about you should just keep quiet. My personal experience involves gross negligence on the part of the management because it concerns the health, safety and welfare of a minor child. So as not to violate rules of this website or the minor I don't detail the specific events about which I write - I'm only doing what I can on this "internet message board to deter future business for the community" until I get my day in court.. Re-read your reply. It was ASENINE..

the worst management i ever saw
i have lived here going on a year now, ive never seen worse management ever, they hire a bunch of kids who do not know what they are doing, they allow underage drinking, there is not security or management in sight. For the price you pay your work orders are not serviced in a timely manner, management changes constantly which is a bad sign. This is speaking from a former Apartment Manager. Grill and pools is poorly service, thearter is not all that it appears to be. Just read the reviews I would recommend the " san seirra" across the street.

------- suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the management doesn't know what they are doing they have become very trashy they dont care who moves in.Last week I pulled in and there was a lady going through the trash looking through other peoples ----, she was pulling garabage out of the damn can the garabage hadn't been dumped in 2 weeks and when i called the apartments they couldn't give me a staight answer. The gates have been broken for about 3 weeks and anyone can drive through and don't let them fool you there is no security they say that cops secure the apartments they are fool of it,there used to be a cop who lived here but he moved out he was a friend of mine. All the good write ups on the apartments are from management they are trying to sucker you in dont believe a word that they say this is my last month here thank god if you want to find an apartment for the same amount of money or cheaper there are plenty around the area that are just as nice or nicer and cheaper.Dont believe a word they say please your wasting your time.

Better than where I live now
I loved Vintage Park. It is so much better than where I live now. I wish I had never moved. Vintage PArk is NEW and so convenient to pretty much everything. I didn't realize how great having a work out place and clean pool was until I moved. IT is so much better than the horrible place I live now where they don't keep up anything!

Beautiful
For the ones that have posted bad reviews on this property, you must not know what you are talking about or just talking out of your a$$. I have been living there for 5 months and I couldn't say nothing but good things. I've been working out almost every day in the fitness center and the TV's have always worked so I'm not sure if your talking about another complex. I know the only time I've had a problem with using the theatre room was after hours, which I can understand, because no one is there but I've been able to go in on a saturday afternoon and use it with no problems. So to those that read all these reviews don't pay attention to those people that really only talk out of their a$$. I haven't had any problems with the office staff. Well, I really haven't had to go in and complain about any maintenance issues because I'm a very clean person so I make sure that nothing needs to be done to my apartment. But the times I have talked with the staff they have always been nice. What can possibly be needed to be done to almost brand new apts? If it is so true, why do people post from anonymous. I wouldn't be ashamed of saying who I was if I was really having so many problems. The only problem I do see which is really no one's fault is the parking but I don't mind walking.

Arrogant, Rude, Liers, horrible and worst management I have ever seen in my life !!!
I am moving out of this complex soon.....this place has a new management whom you just don't want to be dealing with!!! I have never ever seen such rude behaviour anywhere else!!! They talk to you as though they are giving away the apartments free to you to live there....hello people pay their rent and so much fees..THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY to live there....deposits...amenity fees..what not....but this hopeless management that has just arrived is so rude that they literally talk to you like you are a criminal and you live there for free. They have taken the amenity fees but will never give you any amenities that they promised. The gym used to have TV's there..but now nothing works!!! The management talks to you extremely rude when you go there to ask for a simple maintainance issue in your house. The MOVIE theatre doesn't exist for what amenity fee we paid for...since it is never occupied and they always lie to you indicating that it is filled when actually it is not and is always empty!!!I CAN SEE THAT!!!They think people are stupid...totally ridiculous!!!PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT AND ESPECIALLY THE NEW MANAGEMENT..YOU WILL KNOW THIS WHEN U DEAL WITH THEM!!!

New Manager looks like better to come
Just met the new manager and seems like the new people in the office are trying to make a difference. I haved lived here for 8 months and it has had a couple of rough spots, but for the most part, this property is one of the best in the area. There is a lot of value in what you pay. Free pet walking is a huge plus!!! The theater is great for entertaining....we use it often. Like I said, value for your buck. Kudos to the new staff. Looks like things are on the up and up and i would recommnd to my friends and family any day!
