Really enjoy the apts. Ours has a beautiful view of the golf course. Our Granddaughter loves to wave at them. We have always felt safe day or night. The value for the money is spot on. Maint request are performed quickly and accurately. Love the new nearby HEB and Costco! Plan on staying for a few more years!

The maintenance is very quick and helpful. The office staff is helpful, though not always the most friendly or quick to respond. The community is nice and well taken care of, but parking is extremely limited.

I have enjoyed living at the Fairways at Star Ranch because I believe the value of our apartment is worth what we are charged for rent, in other words, it's not overpriced like most places in the Austin area. I love the amenities available to residents as well as the office staff, they are the best.

Best apartment living I've experienced. Very happy with neighbors and space. Office ready to help always. There is nothing to complain about. It's apartment life and it doesn't get better than here. Good people, staff and residents.

Our experience started out great. I was able to move into a clean unit quickly. Over the course of our next few months, we noticed that there were frequent staff changes. Along with those changes came lost information. Twice, I was charged for not having my renters insurance on file but had no warning. Once excited about living here and utilizing all the complex had to offer, I am no longer. My first free summer in years was going to spent at the pool...until they closed the pool FOR THE SUMMER...the time people want to use it.

When I first moved to Fairways at Star Ranch in 2016, the property and management was great. I absolutely loved it here so I ended up renewing my lease for another year. Now that I'm in my second year, there is new management which is horrible. They are rude, unprofessional, and do not know what they are doing. The manager Rick is a nightmare. He would not let me renew my lease (for a 3rd year) to a bigger one bedroom apartment. He said I would have to upgrade to a 2 bedroom, which is ridiculous. It is only me that lives there, so why would I need to waste money on a huge apartment I don't need? He didn't try to work with me or help me at all, so I found a different property to move to. The office staff loses packages, is rude whenever you call, and they also charge you incorrectly on rent so watch out for that. All in all, this place was once great and is now horrible. I would not recommend anyone to move here and I cannot wait to get out of here in 2 weeks.

When I first moved in back in 2013 the office staff was wonderful. They were always helpful and it felt like a family community here. This unfortunatly took a turn for the worst when they began having a high turnover rate with office staff. It seems there is a rotating door with the staff, just as I get to know everyone there, new staff moves in... It makes for poor communication and also makes for an increase in mistakes such as billing. Otherwise the actual apartments are pleasant, however, slightly overpriced.

It's a great community to live in but requires minor upgrades to keep up with newer apartments. The grounds is well kept. The neighbors are okay. I would like to see a better fitness room as well as a cinema room.

The apartments overall are ok but dealing with the front office and their inability to be knowledgeable about questions related renting other apartment units and other unit questions is very frustrating to deal with .

It's great only the staff is continually changing. Management is always changing and the computer room closes when the office does. You say that's open 24 hours a day. It's not convenient we pay for a pool that closes and a computer room. Invest in cameras if needed.

Just steer clear. There are better communities nearby that are a better value or less expensive, with staff that won't treat you like an afterthought. This place used to be excellent, but it's changed hands and unfortunately is no good anymore.

This apartment complex is very nice, very clean, and very affordable. The best parts about living here is that it's very quite, no crime since I've lived here the past 4 yrs, and we finally have an HEB in walking distance. The pool, gym and putting course stays clean year round. I love this place and I'm recommending it regularly.

Great community, very nice and responsive staff. While there is always room for improvement, my wife and I have enjoyed living at the Fairways at Start Ranch and would highly recommend this community to others.

Great community to live in. Friendly staff. Apartment units are worth the rental listing price. The 1 bed, 1 den, and 2 bath option is perfect to get around the 2 bed 2 bath option. Definitely a great, convienent place to live.

We have lived here for 9 years but were informed they weren't renewing our lease. I know it's mobey related because they think they can get more money by getting rid of us. I've heard they're doing a lot of that - yet there are still a lot of empty apartments ( 5 in our building alone!) there's a new management team who are utterly useless. The manager has let the pool company go and the pool is completely unkempt now. The lawn service has obviously been told to not mow as much. Anywhere that has to be mowed with hand mower is not done. The weed eating and trimming is not done at all. There are other bushes or small trees growing in with the other shrubbery throughout complex which management has been told about but ignores. The area around office is nicely maintained of course but not around rest of property. The metal fences within property are all peeling paint and look horrible. The fence around perimeter of property is also peeling. The fence there is also rusting away and collapsing in some areas. Golfers can climb through holes there and retrieve their balls. I've heard numerous golfers comment on how bad the fence looks which is embarrassing. Have brought that to managements attention which does absolutely no good. I've even brought this to attention of corporate office but they are in California and could care less. The dumpster is always overflowing and never compacted like it used to be. Yet they still charge an exorbitant price for their "valet " trash service. Only 5 days a week mind you I wouldn't move here if I were you - just a warning.

What's annoying to start off with is with the trash deal, we can't keep the trash can in the front since we need to keep the area nice and clean. But all that bird ---- piling up is okay? If you get home after 7 good luck finding a parking spot. Maintenance act like it's cool to just go right into your home without calling first or knocking. Was dropping a deuce and some people were trying to unlock my door and what made it worse they tried hard to open the door with the top lock still locked, so we lost all trust with them. We had some problems with the vents, our living room wasn't staying the temperature we set the thermostat to and what did maintenance do about it... close other vents throughout the home... they just half assed everything we had Problems with. Just be careful with the staff, wasn't our first time some staff member tried to get inside before us.

Peoples packages are being stolen from their front door, they do not power wash the stained concrete. Valet trash tore a bag while taking it out and did not pick up the trash that was left on the steps and concrete and they talk about keeping the community nice and neat smh. Another issue, my lease ended back in March. Turned in my lease renewal back in January so my lease can start when it was suppose too in April. The office charged me fees due to "their" neglect and failure to enter my information into the system on time until I had to contact them about the spike in my monthly fee.. They waived the month - to -month fee but are still forcing me to pay a prorated fee because they decided to just then enter my lease renewal that was turned in 4 MONTHS AGO! and they will not waive it; making me pay for their mistake that could of been avoided if someone did their JOB properly and on time. this is just POOR!!!

I just want to let people know before you move in here and think you have a home as long as you want one you are wrong. They have not been renewing leasing not because they are bad tenants but because they can get more money renting it out to new tenants. The leases they are not renewing are because they got a good price to move in and now they can get more money from someone else. This is all legal they have the right not to renew your lease no matter what. This would be different if there were other apartments here in Hutto right now to move but they are still building them. You are uprooting children from one school district to another that is not right to do this to families and friends. So if I were you think twice before moving here especially if you have kids.

We are currently residents at these apartments and will NOT be renewing our lease. The management has been great and every time we need something fixed or done it gets done. However, they have the stupidest and most ridiculous pool rules. You have to wear a band to start off with, sign in with the security guard. Which I wouldn't care about IF my children could enjoy the pool. Which obviously they cannot. The pool has been set up for adults, they can smoke and drink all they want In the pool but the kids can't JUMP IN!! Yes you read correctly. The security guard will come over to you and ask you to have your kid stop jumping because that's a violation which can become a lease violation. I'm sorry but if my child isn't able to enjoy what I'm paying for then it isn't worth it . Please go elsewhere if you have children.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT live here. I wouldn't even give it 1 star if I didn't have to. My now husband lived here from 2013-2014 and was miserable the entire time. The management was terrible, maintenance was even worse, and the apartments weren't anything special for the high rate. He was so happy when he moved out, everything in the apartment was in good shape and he even hired a cleaning team to make sure the whole place was clean as a whistle and it worked because he got his deposit back. Lo and behold, 3 years later he received a $98 property dept from this God forsaken place. 3 YEARS LATER. Since him living at Fairways at Star Ranch we have rented a house for 2 years and an apartment that we are just now getting ready to move out of. We have received the security deposit back for all of these places, and we just recently applied to another apartment in Cedar Park and they came back from our screening saying that my husband has a 98 dollar landlord property debt from this place. How is that even possible? They must have charged him that $98 just recently because this is the first time we have ever heard of it, and we have lived in 2 places since then that screen people for stuff like that. The funny part was that everything was clean and he even got his deposit back, if something was wrong that would not have happened. So DO NOT LIVE HERE if you don't want to be randomly charged YEARS LATER FROM WHEN YOU MOVE OUT. The worst part is that my husband can't even get anyone on the phone to dispute the transaction because they just keep giving him the run around and won't explain the $98 to him. This is the absolute worst apartment complex I have ever had to deal with, and if you read the other reviews for this place you'll find out that this isn't the first time they've done something like this. So DO NOT LIVE HERE if you expect to live in an honest apartment complex.

Don't do it....Just turn your car around and drive away as fast as you can!!!! Don't say you weren't warned... Office staff becoming "I don't know" as the norm; apologies for inconveniences..maintenance issues or otherwise are nonexistent; I can't wait to exit this place. I think it is time for a full management change once again; Bassham not good property management at any complex; Once Alexan management pulled out everything about this property started heading downhill and it has continued..

This apartment complex likes to boast all of their amenities but really they are just money hungry. Pet deposits are $1000. You pay for valet trash removal but it's only Sun-Thurs and they only take 2 bags at a time. If you have a trash "violation" you get fined $100. Your rent will increase after you lived here a year, even if you always paid rent on time. It's definitely not "home". More like a hotel. I can't wait to leave!

Rude! Rude! Rude! Do not rent here! Everyone in the office has a different answer for every question and when you call them on the mis-information, tough sh**. Take it or leave it. I would love to leave it, but I signed a lease, God forbid you try to upgrade to a larger unit, they punish you with that charging a huge amount and making it so incredibly difficult to follow around the dotted lines that it almost causes you to want to just move out.Do this not that, no this way, someone else says something different. It's a cluster f*c* trust me....Keep moving!

Currently Fairways at Star Ranch, managed by Bassham properties. I have been here 3 1/2 years and feel I've seen enough. Every mgmt turnover has good and bad (3 now?), but grounds have gone WAY down, fitness center consistently down, and pool area is oddly down despite attempts.Filthy stairwell areas, no follow through on trash rules despite multiple pics, noise level escalates, BUT I do have to say the maintenance team has been almost always good, and the management team is generally good excepting the immediate team after Bassham took over. Don't come for the grounds/pool area (gettting worse and worse) or the fitness center, but for the generally great living space and maintenance. Hopefully the price is still right, as it was when I moved in. Awesome views, (except golf course view now lesser due to construction), and additional things like crown moldings, high ceilings, higher end fans and nice wood floors/cabinets. Overall...hey, I've been here 3 1/2 years! I'm picky as hell. Oh, close proximity to anything? Uh, no.

I lived here for about a year and a half. I lived here when it was managed by Alexan and Lincoln. I've seen all the reviews and honestly don't know what the bad reviews are talking about. These were by far the best apartments I've ever lived in. The grounds were beautiful, the apartment I had was amazing, and I never had a problem with management. I've heard the management has changed and I actually can't speak on that, all I can tell you is how it was when I left in 2013. The price is unbeatable for what you're getting. Everything else I saw that was that nice I was paying at least $300 more. Plus it's a gated community. The only problem is a lot of high school kids go to hangout there during the summer because there's a basketball court and swimming pool right there so it might get a little noisy. I mean it's a gated community but you can't stop everything plus I never found it that bad. Overall I thought it was great and have never found a place as nice as star ranch.
