The insulation of the walls in my apartment is profoundly poor - I measured the amount leaking from the walls with a laser and it is HIGHER than from the windows. The amount of electricity wasted on trying to cool (or heat) this place is unconscionable when ERCOT is asking everyone to conserve electricity.

Location is wonderful but I was disappointed with the apartment. The floors are old, paint/trim was terrible. The gate has been broken and open for over a week. Definitely not worth the price they charge.

We moved in during the height of the pandemic. Therefore; we weren't able to access or utilize the amenities found in this property. However; we feel truly blessed of the safety precautions that were taken and continue to be taken for our safety.

It's OK. Nothing to brag about. Quiet as long as you're on the 3rd floor. Not many social activities for grown up. The office only calls when they need something. Overall a good place to live. Pricey.

Although it's been good there is room for improvements, as far a security lighting and people not taking there dog to the dog park and just letting there dog just ---- anywhere out of the dog park, FYI: I moved from Austin to get away from things like that. Will hope it gets a bit better. Thanks.

Although I will be here temporarily, I've enjoyed living in this apartment. We have an amazing 2nd floor view of golf coarse. Vanessa and Mary have been extremely helpful to me as I navigated apartment living for the first time in 40 years.

I have had a wonderful experience here. Friendly management, timely response to maintenance requests, plus services like valet trash pickup are great. A noise problem was effectively addressed. Add the local delivery of groceries from a nearby store and my time here has been almost perfect. There is a complex-wide issue with birds during nesting season, but efforts are being made to solve this difficult problem and it is much improved. Overall it has been a great experience!

Great except the amenities are still not open from Covid. The computer room isn't available and if you want to use the pool or fitness area you have to reserve time. Everything in the world is open up. Even in other apartment communities

The Fairways at Star Ranch is a beautiful, peaceful place to live! I love looking out over the pool and all the beautiful landscaping. The property is well maintained and "tucked away" from the busyness of the traffic and hustle and bustle.

the community was very strict in 2014. now its very lenient and lots of tenants with no regard to others are allowed to live here. management does their best to the policing of the property but changes and improvement need to be addressed sooner than later.

What's great: -Wonderful office staff. I've never met office staff who were so responsive and who knew my name even though I rarely interact with them. They are very pleasant to work with and go the extra mile. -Quiet. Hearing your neighbors is extremely rare even if they have small kids or pets. -Apartment interiors are well-maintained, clean. -Maintenance. Work orders are completed in a timely manner, done right and the maintenance crew is so professional and awesome. -Community events. Office staff do a great job of coordinating events on a weekly and monthly basis, using feedback from residents on what they like. Food trucks, virtual gatherings, classes, social events and more. What can be improved: -Lack of uncovered parking can be a real problem when it's a busy holiday weekend or on some evenings. Perhaps it's because of a lot of visitors, but it's a bummer having to park at the other end of the complex (hundreds of feet away from my building) after a late-night errand. -Breezeways (open-air hallways between doors in buildings) can become dirty quickly. It's caused by birds (who nest in the rafters above the stairs, with their poop falling below), mud/oil tracked up the stairs by some residents and liquids that leak from trash bags during trash collection, which stain the concrete. Although these breezeways are cleaned every 4-6 months, it goes back to being dirty pretty quickly. -Some pet owners don't pick up after their dogs, turning open grassy areas into mine fields. It's especially frustrating to see dog poop on the ground ten feet away (or less) from the waste station where bags are provided for them to use, and that it seems to be the same owners. I have a pet and even though I pick up all their waste, there are areas I can't walk/take my dog to because there's just too much poop there (especially the fenced-in dog park areas). There are relatively minor complaints. Everything that makes the community great-- atmosphere, staff, maintenance and the apartments themselves--makes this a place I'd recommend. Just be aware of high-traffic areas which (understandably) are harder to maintain since it relies on residents doing their part to keep them clean.

It has been ok. Thought increase in rent first 4-5 years was excessive. Also upgrades that are offered I no longer need. Need a new bath tub the one I have is peeling. Resurfacing has not worked the last 2 times.

Great community but some sanitation rules need to be enforced. Far to many residents are simply dropping garbage bags in the hallway...no trash container used...causing leakage and a real mess! Also, get rid of the birds that build the nests and ---- everywhere!

Really liked the apartment I moved in but the apartments themselves (exterior) could use more care. And the stairs and stairwells need power washing and the bird crap removed from the rails and the random trash that blows around on the ground needs to be picked up.

We enjoy the layout of our apartment and the convenience of having a connected garage. The maintenance service is good however we have noticed a lack of upkeep in landscaping in front of patios and some general appearance issues.

I moved here in 2019 and I've enjoyed my stay thus far. I don't have any complaints at this time, the office staff is very pleasant, would definitely recommend someone this way. I also feel safe in this community haven't had any issues that would change my mind.

Its been great. The only complaint i have is one of the tennants, James, in building 13, parks 4 of his vehicles up front in the parking spots and takes up a lot of the parking. Ive called the office and complained but was told there are no rules about this. So if we all had 4 cars that we parked here, how would that work? There is also a car parked outside of this building with a popped tire that has been here for weeks.

It has been an average experience. There are times when people don't pick up their dog's droppings, and the complex parking is filled one day, and plenty the next but there is plenty of covered parking space available. There have been instances where apartment staff are unsure about their own rules and regulations. The pool isn't as clean as it use to be. The apartment has dropped in quality since the time we've moved in.

The staff is very friendly. They do not participate in a recycling plan so you will be taking your recyclabables to Round Rock or Taylor. You might also be waiting quite sometime for maintenance to fix a request, but they are polite when they come to your apartment.

New management company isn't very helpful or friendly. When they made a mistake on my lease they tried to hide it and make it all my fault. One lady in the office wears spandex leggings to work and is not very professional. Maintenance replaced my broken microwave door with a cracked door instead of a new one.
